It's been ages since I got my haircut and it's been even longer since I have walked out thinking I've wasted my money on a cut. I called ahead of time and got lucky that they had a time slot open on a busy day. My stylist was a bit rude and a bit too pushy of the Aveda products in store for my taste. I'm already there getting my hair done, please ask me if I want to hear about it. Don't demand I need to purchase this product in order to have great hair. No offence but I can't afford to spend $50+ a month on shampoo or conditioner (hi I'm a student). After being told by my stylist that they didn't want to cut my hair any shorter than I had asked because "it takes time to shorten it up (whatever the hell that means)", I was pretty damn irritated. Next the stylist curls the bottom end of my hair (because it's what their other client likes) and I can safely say I hate it. During the entire hair cutting process, I keep talking to the stylist about my ideas and keep getting shot down. Great. Thanks a lot! It was easy to book an appointment online and my stylist Yoki was very responsive. I was very excited to visit. When I entered the shop I was immediately greeted warmly and with respect. Yoki carefully listed to my requests for my hair during the consultation and then I was directed to get my hair washed. The wash was very nice and gentle and relaxing with a gentle head massage. My appointment was on a Saturday at noon and it was decently busy. I was a little hesitant to try this place because I find it difficult to find places that can cut the style I want on my asian hair.
