My son has learned so much and has grown so much at the school. When he started, he was very sad and hated to leave us, but after about a week he was happy to go to school, hugged the teachers, and didn't want to leave. The administration is also awesome! Unfortunately, we moved back to Virginia. We wish we could have brought the school with us. It is definitely our favorite thing about Dallas.

Looking back on our experience, there is absolutely no question in my mind that the 2+ years we spent with St. Christopher's were the best for not only our boys (now 5- & 6-years old), but our whole family. From the smart, personable, and observant teachers, to the diverse (international!) feel of the community, to the bright & welcoming atmosphere created by Becky and the front desk staff, St. Christopher's truly raised the bar for our expectations of a school & faculty. Prior to finding St. Christopher's, our boys had attended both Montessori and non-Montessori schools in the White Rock Lake/Lake Highlands areas, and they've attended 3 other schools (1 Montessori, 1 public, and 1 private) in Dallas & Rowlett since. Being a part of so many different schools (not all of which were bad, by the way!) has taught us to appreciate the "small" things (hygiene!, front desk friendliness, student diversity, parental involvement) as well as the "big" things (safety/security, curriculum, communication, caring & nurturing atmosphere). St. Christopher's gave us all of those things and then some. As parents, we always felt welcome, and we rested assured knowing that our children were being exposed to cool neat things (languages, art, etc.) and ideas by people who cared about them & their respective development (our boys are pretty different from one another!). When my wife & I finally settled down in Rowlett (20 miles east of Dallas), our biggest regret was that we'd have to leave St. Christopher's - and even then, we made the daily 2-hour commute until we couldn't take it anymore. If you have the opportunity to send your kids here, I truly can't recommend it highly enough. It's the best, most nurturing and inspiring school we came across. Best wishes to you & your family, and I hope your experience is as good as ours was! :)

My son started mid-way into the pandemic..No deposit or year round payment was required at…read moreenrollment, just the weekly pay..On his first day he was super excited to see so many kids but, in the five hours he was there, I picked him up with a long scratch on his face...the women who handed him to me at the door just brushed it off when I asked but, my son looked so happy so I just let it go and thought of it as an accident.. my son was never able to fall asleep like the other kids. I saw his teacher on the camera forcing him back down on his mat each time he would try to get up while the other kids slept. I heard my son just bawling in tears even when I was told he would be able to play in the corner or atleast be comforted if he did not want to nap so, I just started picking him up before nap time began. My son was there for less than two months on M,W,& Friday's for less than 5 hours. I would stay for about 10-20 minutes and watch the cameras, there were just so many things that I saw in the classroom and in the directors office that just weren't okay. The director was hardly there and when she was she would be "so busy" with other things she did not have time for questions or concerns. Ms.Mary was great! She seemed to struggle at times to keep things in line with the staff but, overall with all the things I saw happen she did her best! The reason overall, I left Childtime Mesquite was when two staff members lost it. One staff member from a classroom did not want to change the pooped diaper of a little boy because he belonged with my sons group next door so she dragged the little boy by the hand with his POOPED diaper pulled down to his ankles and took him next door to where my sons class was. His teacher did not want to change the little boy and also, thought she was giving her attitude so they both started calling each other names and literally screaming at each-other. THE LITTLE BOY STOOD THERE WITH HIS POOPED DIAPER STILL. Ms.Larie was on vacation and Ms.Mary did not know how to handle the situation ,she was just very sorry and embarrassed a parent (me) was watching the whole thing. My sons teacher ended up just grabbing her stuff and storming out because she wanted to get physical with the other staff member. After that happened,I just knew this is not the place for my child. When COVID was found among the staff it was just another reason not to return. He did learn a lot but, staff is very unprofessional. Ms.Larie was absent to half the problems there. Also, another thing Is if a parent would like to watch the cameras playback something, they have to fill out a form and submit to Ms.Larie then she has to call her boss to get approval, then a meeting will need to be arranged .Which can take days or a few weeks. It just continues to bother me that in the 10-20 minutes I sat there watching all these events happen my question continues to be so, what happened when no parent was there to watch? First day care experience not good at all.

Childtime is a terrible place for children with caring parents. The administrator Larie is…read moreunprofessional and runs the daycare like a circus. My daughter attended for 6 weeks. The last straw was when I picked my daughter up and she was literally soaking wet, had a rash from head to toe and wearing someone elses clothes! Nobody ever contacted me to bring clothes or to notify me of my childs condition. When inquiring about why my daughter was in this condition, I was told that another teacher came from outside to stop my child and another child from climbing out of the window causing my daughter to miss gettimg her diaper change! Safety is not a priority at this daycare. I was told by the teacher Susanna, that she was sweeping and talking to another parent which prevented her from stopping the children from climbing to the window. Any parent that has a child in day care knows that this is unacceptable. My daughter was moved after this to another class and still was not cleaned before I picked her up. The one year old teacher Susanna is very young and emotionally immature. She has no business dealing with children, as she seems to have cognitive difficulties herself. No one in their right mind would tell a parent that she was too busy sweeping and talking to prevent children from climbing out of the window. In the six weeks we were enrolled, there were several different teachers. The turnover is extremely high even for a daycare. At one point, the cook was in the classroom taking care of the children! They do not do anything educational or fun for the children. There are no special events like other day cares. Childtime is just a holding place for children. The facility is filthy and there are several safety hazards. Enroll with caution!
