FIRST CLASS! We are a new family to this school but we are NOT new to private Christian schools..our 3 children have gone to another private school for the past 6+ years. FBA is unabashedly Christ-Centered...walking the walk not just the talk ...we have seen in other private school environments that call themselves 'Christian' that Christ is hardly mentioned and certainly not a priority. This school is a true ministry of First Dallas Baptist Church. Strong,experienced and stable leadership is just one of the ways this school separates itself from the pack. Our kids were not excited about starting a new school (what kid is?) but within the first week they all felt at home with new friends and many things in common...what really struck us the most is that these teachers and staff really care about our kids well-being spiritually, emotionally as well as academically. We feel that this is truly a worthy investment especially in light of the nutty public school situation...class size here is ideal along with the spiritual focus which is the MISSING LINK when public schools try to teach Character building or Bullying...they are missing the key ingredient...CHRIST...they will never get the message across without this. FBA is one of the best private schools in Dallas for the money. The teachers and staff are exceptional, not only for their strong academics and teaching, but also for the love they have shown our children. They truly treat them as if they were their own kids. Teachers proactively communicate with us via emails and calls, sharing accomplishments and concerns. How refreshing it is for our children to attend a school where public prayer is an everyday occurrence. The school is Christ-centered and it is evident in the behaviors of students and teachers. The academics are challenging, but worth it. Year in and year out FBA students are accepted to the best universities in the country. The past couple of years students have been accepted to the Air Force and Naval Academies. The fine arts are amazing. The quality of the FBA band is superior to those of schools much larger. The school finished near the top at this year's TAPPS state art competition. Athletics are strong and getting stronger. As a graduate of FBA, I was well-prepared for college, which helped me graduate from college with honors with bachelors and masters degrees. Our son is in 1st grade and absolutely loves FBA! He is getting a wonderful education with a Christian worldview. FBA is his home away from home. As the Covid pandemic has spread, FBA acted quickly and created a top class Online program. Our 1st grader gets to interact with his teacher and classmates daily through zoom. All of his assignments are easily accessible in one place, Schoology. And although he misses getting to go to school, this is by far the next best thing. The daily interaction has been key to help him mentally and emotionally deal with this current crisis. My son started kindergarten at FBA 4 years ago. He's now in 3rd grade and thriving. All of his teachers have been wonderful--firm, but yet nurturing. The academics are challenging with demonstrated results. Beginning in 1st grade, students take the ERB CPT standardized test to measure how our students and school academics stand up to other private and public schools in the area. My son's grade has always scored above not only the local public schools (which you would expect), but also the local private schools. My three children attend First Baptist Academy and I can say with certainty that each one of them is known and loved by their administrators, faculty, staff and coaches. While the COVID-19 crisis has been challenging for all of us, we are beyond grateful that FBA has provided us with a wonderful online option. First Baptist Academy has truly been a God-send for our child AND our family. FBA is willing to partner with parents to raise their child with a Christian world view. In addition to the spiritual education our child has received, his academics are amazing - at the recent Math Olympics for private schools in the metroplex, FBA had 3 students in the top 5 out of 400 children who took the test . FBA has been a wonderful part of our family's life. Both of my children attend the school and it's been a great experience. The school is small enough so that all of the teachers and staff know my children giving it a wonderful family feel. The size of the school is great because your child can be involved in any/all activities - and this is encouraged! The curriculum is appropriately challenging and as a result, my children have scored well on the standardized testing. The addition of our new headmaster has provided concrete leadership. My son attended this school for a year and was asked to leave because he did not fit in the FBA way. They claim to be a Christian school rooted and valued by Christian beliefs, however, if your son is Black and he is not the top pick athlete they don't want you there. Modern-day slavery. I was constantly contacted for matters dealing with behavior and had to hunt them down about academics. I was even labeled as the angry Black woman because I refuse to allow one of his teachers to label my son as slow or special as she suggested he be tested due to her lack of classroom management. read more

My three children attend FBA, and we love it! The new campus is incredible with state of the art technology in the classrooms. The faculty and staff know and care about each of the students.
