The Town East Campus of this church is something special. People are real and do not sugar coat the fact that they are broken by sin and looking for a God that loves and changes their lives. Every week my family meets with friends at this campus who love us and walk with our family spiritually. We have always found the different ministries at this church (childrens, youth, celebrate recovery) do an amazing job of reaching their demographic with God's love, even if it looks a little messy sometimes. I've volunteered with the youth groups for many years and have seen firsthand the pastor's love and commitment to a student's salvation & growth in Christ. Both pastors do everything they can to reach students. The world is such a broken place that breaks our kids daily so sometimes the ministry may sound or seem broken, but from plugging in and working alongside the team here at Town East I can confidently say that this is a great church God is using for His glory. My family and I drive 30 minutes (passing right by the Rockwall campus) to come to this church. My husband and I make this drive 3 times a week to participate in various activities (children, youth, and the young adults ministry) because we love the people and opportunity the church provides to be a place for all believers and nonbelievers to learn about the Lord. I love the fact that people from all walks of life, with a wide variety of struggles, come together in worship as one congregation. We have been volunteering in the youth for about 2 years on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights and love & respect the "sermon" that the youth get taught each week- the message is raw and real life. The youth pastor doesn't tip-toe around the "hot topics" but preaches what the youth need to hear and presents the gospel each night. The atmosphere shows the youth that come (many who just come from the dinner the church provides) that they are welcome, and won't be judged. read more

God used the people at Lakepointe to wrap me in his arms and show me love. The people in the church welcomed me in when I was broken and at the lowest part of my life. I began serving in the youth ministry after joining the church and God used the kids, raw, honest, and sometimes ridiculous, lol, to heal my brokenness. I've been a member for almost 5 years now and have seen over and over how the youth pastors pour themselves out for these kids. They gather the lost and broken and just love them...and life change happens. I've learned so much about God's love and faithfulness by watching them walk through life and serve day in and day out. No church is perfect because it's made up of sinful humans, but the hearts here are genuine and sold out for Jesus. My niece is entering the youth ministry this year and I am so excited to see how God grows her up in Him here. I trust that she will be shepherded well. read more

We have been attending this church for 13 years. We totally love it here and couldn't imagine going to church elsewhere. The staff and volunteers are amazing. My kids are teenagers now and they love the youth group. They have grown up in the church and have learned to love the Lord because of this church. The youth ministers do everything for the kids, put in tireless hours, and truly love the Lord. My favorite thing about our church is welcoming the "sinners" of the world because we are all sinners. This church understands we all need Jesus and all are welcomed to meet God where we are and to grow to be more like Jesus every day. I love the vibe of this campus and that it is culturally diverse. People are down to earth and friendly and there's always opportunities to get connected. As someone who loves to serve, I love that there are so many areas and ways to get involved. I also absolutely love the importance the church puts on the family and your walk with the Lord....they provide a plethora of family resource for all stages of life from pamphlets to classes to activities. As with anything else, church is what you make of it and this church is absolutely invested in helping you grow, you just have to do your part in your walk. I love this church. My family has been attending for almost 8 years. I have seen my kids grow up here. The youth ministers have poured into my children. They understand that the church is filled with broken people and our job as Christians is to love the broken people. The youth ministry makes it a priority to meet the basic needs of every kid including feeding them physically and spiritually. They do not miss an opportunity to share the gospel. My son has decided to pursue a career in ministry because of the investment they have made into his life and encouragement they provide. This church cares about reaching the community. I love Lake Pointe Town East. The people in the church are family to me. They have consistently shown me love at my best and worst. This church constantly strives to be more and more christ like. This church is a hospital for the broken, not a temple for the righteous. Sometimes the people are ugly and messy, but they are met with love and grace. I personally know the pastoral staff, and every person at lake point has a relentless heart for Christ and his people, regardless of where they are in their walk. Additionally, the music is awesome. I first started attending LakePointe 13 years ago. I have served with the student ministry almost just as long. The student pastor not only loves and wants to serve the students in his community but invests well in his leaders. Also, as a foster and a multi racial family it was important to me to find a church full of diversity. I love that we can take our small children to youth events with us and they are loved on by the student ministry staff and the youth. Grew up in this church and am now a Student Pastor with Lake Pointe BECAUSE Jamie, the Student Pastor, walked alongside of me and taught me to have a passion for God's Word.
