AVOID THIS PLACE FOR COLOR & FOR BAD ETHICS. First picture is results from HEADCASE, second pic is what it was suppose to be, third picture is just to show her hair with color when done right(she did a different color then).Sent my wife here to get her hair colored, she sent the pictures of the purple that's he wanted and how it was going to be a bright purple. Her and the stylist Daniel came to a agreement on price and my wife was excited as it had been a year since she last had her hair done. She goes in and gets her hair done by Daniel. The final results were very upsetting to say the least. He didn't bleach her hair(which is a dark brown), so you can barely see any of the color at all(compared to what she was suppose to get). She contacts him and let's him know and he offers to have her come in for some highlights to make it look better, at first she agreed. After we talked we agreed she paid to have all of her hair purple not just some highlights. We offer to pay a little more for him to redo the whole thing and this time bleach the hair so it will all come out the way it was suppose to. He blocks her and canceled the appointment for her highlights. Tried talking with the company and they say we will have to take it up with him, how when he has blocked her and refuses to talk to her. This had to be the most childish way to respond to this, this location is a complete joke. If they do something wrong or the way you didn't ask for good luck getting anything done about it. Wouldn't not recommend this place at all and avoid their color specialist(hahahahaha) Daniel as he is no specialist. read more

I would warn anyone not to go to Howards, especially anyone of A different race or skin tone other then white. First of all get ready to be greeted with scowls from a line of Karen's. no place to sit and wait, rude conversations among the stylists talking about their coworkers that were not there. To top it off.....At the end of my 12 year old sons Haircut, I pointed out a big chunk she had missed behind his ear, she immediately became defensive and said "well we don't usually do ''your peoples" type of hair cuts." I can't take back the confusion my child felt that day. I will never go back. Nor will my family or friends. read more

I'm new to the Canby area. I'd tried another haircut place in town and it was very disappointing, they gave the classic bowl on the head kind of cuts. Based on Yelp reviews, I decided to give Howards a try. Kaylie cut my hair and did a great job. She will be my barber henceforth! They even give a hot towel and use a straight razor to do the back of your neck. Definitely a 5 star shop. read more

I would recommend Jesse at Howard's to anybody. I never could find a style that works for me and usually let my hair grow longer and then cut short. Jesse was very informative and interested in what would look good on my face structure and hair type. Husband went in for a simple buzz-the-head-and-trim-the-beard. All three girls were sitting in the chairs, surfing their phones. No attempt at small talk. Hubby warned the girl trimming his beard that it was VERY curly; tight curls. She insisted she was a professional, and had dealt with beards before. She tried a fine toothed comb - and immediately pulled beard hair, causing my hubby to yelp with the pain. She didn't bother to appologise. It went downhill from there, with her constantly reminding us the she was "...a professional." I did contact the owner prior to reviewing - her attitude was basically the same careless, 'whatever' attitude her staff has. Avoid this place. Charging $25 for a buzz and a simple beard trim seemed to be a petty dig. read more
