The foreman on the job actually told us it was 7 hours. I was initially impressed, except one portable storage cupboard was left behind. We were told that a worker would come the next day to move it, but that didn't happen, and no one called. Hmmmmm. I knew then that something wasn't right. After a few calls the owner said that there were 5 men on the job (not true), and he also quoted a higher price per hour to justify the $315 overcharge. If you are planning a move, be sure to have a written agreement ahead of time as far as price per hour, number of workers, and any other essential details.

We were treated horribly by John, who had absolutely no concern that his staff did this. I was not trying to bash this business, but I posted a review on Google today and the company said…read moreI was fake. Now I know I need to expand. The company is unscrupulous and it just isn't ok. They disavowed ever having worked with us. Take it for whatever it is worth. This wasn't an effort to rate them low, but then they disavowed us as clients. The review is real. The work was not nearly as high-quality as we would have hoped for with the cost. As far as we could tell, they did not do more than a primer on the walls. There were many detail-related issues that fell short. The contractor was really never on site. It was very rarely that he came to check on the work of his team. Mostly he just was not there to see if his crew was doing quality work. He would come after they left and then say he would tell them later. He was never there at the same time as him as far as we know. We had a bathroom remodeled and the paint they used was not suited to be used over a shower, as the ceiling above the shower immediately began peeling upon use. It looks awful and started looking awful right away. There are multiple areas where we had to fix them on our own. They touched up areas of the paint with a different paint than the first paint, so you can see patches. The crawlspace door, for example, was so poorly re-attached after painting it, that it fell off almost immediately. The wet bar was installed such that when they reconnected the pipes, it leaked and flooded part of the basement and ruined some of the brand new floors they had just put in. We needed to replace the kickplate on the cabinet under the sink due to the water damage. Every time we pointed something out that had not been done, they said it was supposedly not what we initially said we wanted. Be VERY specific about what you want, down to the small details. Document it. In addition, they told us they might fix stuff, but they had no time to come back later due to other pending jobs. And it took FOREVER to finish. The price would have been fine overall, but considering how much we had to address on our own, we are not at all satisfied with what we got for the money. It is not ok to have to follow up on a full remodel and have to fix stuff on our own after the fact. To summarize, the basement is better than it was before, but not nearly as good quality of the work we thought we would get. Would not recommend. This job cost us $23k. We felt like we were just a space-filler job between other more important and profitable jobs to them, and the end result was an obvious testament to their "quality" and "flawless" work. We would have persisted about the inadequacy in the work, but by the time it was done, we were over it.

He beat anybody's estimates for a one bedroom apartment move by alot and it was the easiest and best decision I've made to get Mike to move me. I would recommend him to anyone. Mike was very responsive to the things that needed that extra caution and he always returned texts or calls in a timely manner.
