Prior to our meeting, she sent me a questionnaire about my "relationship with money" (it was like something from match.com or something!)...but as goofy as that questionaire was - it did give her a good picture of how terrified I am of investing. Evidently - there is a name for people like me! It's called "conservative investor"! HAHA! All this time, I thought it was "moron!" Anyways - Devon helped walk me through several options and convinced me to invest in some *VERY* conservative investments just to see how I felt. She also patiently explained VERY basic concepts to me - because she could tell that I was just confused and not very savvy about such things. After a few months, my money grew (obviously, before our current financial crisis), and before long, she convinced me to do systematic investments and get a little more brave with my investing (so now I'm doing "moderate/conservative" investing), so that my "nest egg" would grow (I love these comforting words she would use! HAHA!). Well - about a month into our current financial crisis - before it got *bad* (this was just as the markets started to dip), she called me to tell me that she feels that it's time to "hunker down" and that we need to move the money back into some very conservative postions (which I'm ALL for!). I've lost a bit of money - but not as much as many people I know. I'm also still a little worried (because I could have SO bought a new Dior purse with that money), but everytime I get panicky, Devon ALWAYS takes my calls (although I'm sure she has many other, larger and more important clients), and talks me down from the ledge. I don't think I'll ever be Warren Buffett or anything...but for the first time ever, I actually know what a mutual fund is!!!

Schwab Bank has recently added Zelle as a new "service." In fact, it is no longer possible to use…read moreZelle if it is linked to a Schwab Bank account. You must connect to Zelle through the Schwab app. I have overdraft protection for my Schwab Bank account. That means that I carry a zero balance and money is automatically transferred from my regular Schwab investment account when money is drawn on the checking account Unfortunately Zelle will not let you pay someone if the account balance is zero. You must first transfer money between your Schwab accounts and then use Zelle. Who wants those extra steps?? Zelle had been convenient. Now I MUST use Schwab. Worst of all is that Schwab doesn't allow transfers on weekends, so there is nothing you can do ....no workaround at all. Try Fidelity or Vanguard. They have probably figured it out. Schwab should have designed a better, workable system!!
