We hired Karey (Hazy Lane Studios) for our wedding day in August 2022. We had the complexity of three locations for our wedding day: where we were getting ready and did our first look (Lafayette Park Hotel), the ceremony (Saint Mary's College of California chapel which is where my husband and I met for college), and the reception venue (Bridges Golf Club). We initially came across Hazy Lane Studios because Karey is a preferred vendor of Bridges. To me, this meant that she knew all the great shots at the reception venue and would provide valuable insight throughout the process. She was so responsive during the planning process and helped finalize our timeline based on her experience. She was timely, efficient, and so awesome to work with on the wedding day. We couldn't imagine our day being photographed by anyone else! We got all our photos back right before 1 month after the wedding which is weeks earlier than we were expecting based on our contract. We pre-ordered an album and are so excited to work with Karey on it once we have decided on our favorite photos (there are so many!). We also were pretty set early on with hiring Matter Video for videography. It was an immediate connection I felt with Karey from the start (she took my call once when she was at her daughter's gymnastics practice, THAT is dedication!). We got married March 29, 2014 and have the most artistic, romantic and beautifully captured memories of our day by Karey. I would recommend Hazy Lane to anyone Karey is so fun, professional, organized and soooo quick! We had pictures of our wedding posted to facebook the night of the reception. We couldn't believe she spent 10 hours with us and then went home and posted the most unbelievable picture of us. Our entire gallery was done in a few weeks and all 1500 pictures blew us away! Her assistant was also very sweet and attentive and matched Karey's quality and artistry. We also had our engagement photos done with our wedding package and was a great experience. Karey is very organized and responsible, and ABSOLUTELY MEETS BY TYPE-A STANDARDS. Two months in advance, she'll send a questionnaire asking about day-of timeline, must-have shots, etc. One to two weeks in advance, she'll meet with you to go over the plan and she'll send an email with friendly reminders. On the wedding day, Karey is SURPRISINGLY EFFICIENT. There was one hour (between the ceremony and the reception) that was allocated for family photos, wedding party photos, and newlywed photos. It was a super-efficient whirlwind with Karey's guidance on where to stand, suggestions on how to pose, etc. The photos are absolutely gorgeous and capture the happiness of our wedding day. Karey is simply perfection. From the day I met her in her studio, I knew she had to be our photographer. Our engagement shoot was the first time that my now husband met Karey.
