I was hesitant at first since it's a new car dealership, but this place is absolutely amazing. Very friendly, understanding and kind people, beautiful new cars and good prices for them. I got a Pre-Owned vehicle, and it's like it was brand new off the lot! Runs perfect and all. If you go here, I'd *highly* recommend Kathleen "Kat" Warner; she's very kind and patient, and answers all your questions, even via phone! They also took my old 2006 car as a trade-in for value, despite how bad it was, and someone from the garage even helped remove the plate that had a stripped screw. The sales manager is very kind and friendly as well, answered all of our questions, too! Absolutely excellent service all around. Thank you all so much over at Hazleton Honda/Hyundai! The General Sales Manager, Philip Petris, treated me with such disrespect. Unfortunately, he is a new-fashioned sexist. The evening went well with the typical negotiations until I began to speak up with our final request. He began to speak over me when I tried to explain the reasoning behind the request and would only look at my husband. I continued to counter with the request and his personality continued to worsen. I calmly addressed the situation as we could feel the tension and reminded him that we were both there to make a deal and I wanted to work together. As the hours passed by he began to contradict his statements one by one... 1. He said he was willing to stay all night but at 10 he said he was tired because he worked since 7. I reminded him that was his choice to be in this industry. 2. He placed himself on a pedestal about how honest and good of a person he was but then was laughing at my comments and cutting me off to try to stop me. 3. He stated all cars after 60 days on the lot go to auction but then stated the particular one we were trying to buy wouldn't. There are plenty more but I digress. He even called out other local dealerships to degrade their business. This is not appropriate behavior. In addition to the blatant disrespect , his knowledge was lacking and attention to detail was poor. He was unaware what vehicle we were trading in although he stated he appraised it. He was unaware who owned the brands or where the vehicles we produced. Also, he treated the floor salesmen as if he was a dog by barking orders and throwing papers at him to take to the trash. As for the owners, Jessie Armstead and Antonio Pierce I would be mortified to have this man in my business. read more

Beautiful brand new facility in a great location! I'm thrilled that I don't have travel all the way to Wilkes Barre to service my Hondas now! I had both of my Hondas serviced at Hazleton Honda and was 100% satisfied. They offered free complimentary oil changes for both cars since it was their first visit. They also offered some great coupons, which saved me even more money. The service was very friendly and efficient. I visited the show room and learned about their "Set for Life" program, which includes free oil changes, free car washes, and more when you purchase a vehicle there. I'll be back to talk about trading in my vehicles for new ones from Hazleton Honda! I also can wait to use their express service for oil changes! read more

Do not buy from here! They will run your credit multiple times and finance you through Hazleton Honda with a terrible rate. They also slip in additional extras like a warranty for $3500 that is returnable but good luck getting someone to help you return it. read more

On Monday, 12/23/19, my son-in-law took my 2001 Honda Accord to Hazleton Honda for an airbag recall. Simple task, you would think? He drove from Minersville to Hazleton (about 30 miles). The repair was done (that's what the receipt states anyway) and he left and got onto the entrance ramp to I-81 to come home. While he was driving the hood flew open so he couldn't see a single thing! Thankfully he was not on 81 yet or he could have been killed. He was able to pull over and close it and very cautiously drove back home. Saying he was frazzled is putting it mildly when he got home. I called the dealership and pitched a holy fit. They sent someone to my home to check the hood. He took pictures and promptly told both of us that we were lying and the hood never flew open. What??? Why on earth would we lie? I am a senior citizen and in all my years I have NEVER been called a liar. They sent someone to pick up the car on Thursday, 12/26/19 to bring to the dealership. I was called when they got the car back to Hazleton Honda and was told there was something wrong with the transmission. The car was fine when my son-in-law drove it there and back on 12/23/19. The service department asked me what I wanted them to do. I said just fix the airbag (the airbag light was back on after the hood flew open) and bring it back to me and I would have someone here check it out. They accused my son-in-law and I of sabotaging the car and that we did something to the transmission. What on earth is going on here??? So we are now both liars that sabotaged my own car?? This was unbelievable. This car is my independence, why would I ever do something to it?? I had to have it towed back to my home because they REFUSED to bring it back to Minersville. All I know is that on 12/23/19 the car drove just fine and it just went to the dealership for the airbag recall and when they drove it to the dealership on 12/26/19, suddenly there was a problem with the transmission. Also, the airbag light is still on! I have NEVER dealt with a business as shady and classless as this one. Please do your research and think very long and hard before you consider bringing them any business or taking your car there for a recall or a repair. DISGUSTING!!! read more

So I've been meaning to do this review a long time ago. I moved to PA a year ago for work and had began taking my car there throughout my time in PA. Everything was good until recently. I went to get my 2014 Honda Accord taken in for an oil change in May. During the oil change they are "supposed" to do an inspection. Mind you, this isn't my first time getting my oil changed from there and each time the area for transmission fluid is marked "green". Thus never causing me any alarm. I transitioned back to Texas the last week in August. The Friday prior to my move I went to Honda because they told me that I may want to consider changing a filter and my spark plugs. Since I was driving from PA to TX I wanted to ensure my car was safe to drive. The mechanics Check my car and said I didn't even need what they originally said I needed changed and that my car was in perfect condition. Subsequently, I drive to TX that following week. Not soon after I arrive at the TX border my car stops accelerating (mind you I'm going 80 mph on the freeway). I was stranded 80 miles outside of my destination. I ended up having to get my car towed to a TX Honda dealership. The dealership performs an inspection and tells me that my car had no transmission fluid and that there were actually metal fragments in my transmission and that I needed to REPLACE my transmission($3,600 btw). I call Honda Hazleton and speak to the service center manager and he refuses to take ownership for his team and their lack of a thorough inspection. He said because my oil change was in May and it was July that anything could have happened. I explained to him that things like that don't happen over night. I hadn't even drove enough to need another oil change regardless off the time that lapsed. For my transmission to have metal fragments meant that this didn't happen overnight. He also tried to place the blame on me for not getting my transmission fluid replaced but like I said i was told it was "green" every visit. I also stated that I only take my car to Honda dealership and I put my trust in them to tell me what's wrong with my car because I'm no mechanic and that I would never let an engine or transmission issue wait because it could turn into a 4 grand issue. Needless to say, the manager lacked empathy, failed to take responsibility for HIS team and was rude. I contacted Honda corporate and they said it was up to the actual dealership to take ownership and they won't. I don't recommend this shop, especially for young women as you can easily be taken advantage of. read more

Recently bought a CRV from them. Easy trade, good price, and willing to negotiate. Worked with TJ. He was awesome. Very knowledgeable about the car and did not push the car on me at all which made it easy. He set up all my devices and took the time to explain each. A week after buying the car, I called a TJ about a car wash question, that you get as part of buying the vehicle, and he returned my call on his day off to get me the answer. They rushed me entirely to buy a car. I must clarify not "forced" because that's what Juan the finance manager took it as, I was RUSHED. I arrived at 10am and did not walk out until 8:30pm because they didn't believe I was a licensed driver no matter what I provided them with. I originally went to buy a 2015 Jetta for 8k but Juan told me it would be $340, but he could also get me in a brand new car, plus the warranty for the same price, maybe $20-40. Then he told me it would be $500 which is not even close to the original offer. And Luciano the sales rep was so rude. My girlfriend and my friend who went with me agreed. He was condescending and acted annoyed anytime and everytime I asked him questions pertaining to the car. Anyway, they settled for giving me a 2017 honda civic sedan lx. Which if you check KBB is worth $15k in perfect condition. And not only that, after checking KBB there were 4 recalls on this vehicle they never told me about nor mentioned. They rushed trying to get the paper work done so they could go home. Juan said that he didn't want his team to stay too late so I didn't have much time to check anything out. They charged me $18,200 for this vehicle. The vehicle has 15k miles. But the next day after I bought it, not even twelve hours later, I noticed all the scratches, dents, and a hole in the fender. I didn't notice all of this the night I bought it because it was already past 8:00pm and dark out. I never even got a true chance to look at it because they immediately wanted to get to the paperwork. I called the dealership and asked to speak to Luciano who never ever called me back. I emailed him several times about the damages and the hole and how it didn't seem right that they didn't mention several things and charged me an outrageous amount. Eventually I called back and got to speak to Juan. Juan said that there was nothing wrong with the car when he sold it to me and that just because I regret buying the car that I shouldn't make things up to try and return it. He blatantly called me a liar. Juan also said if anything is wrong with the car they can look at it but they do not have to and are not required to fix it if they feel it wasn't their fault. I was not offered the warranty for this vehicle. The other thing is, I called the weekend they were running their $1 down and low monthly rate special. They still made me put $1000 down even though I had a trade in vehicle. So not only did I trade in a vehicle that I was given $2000 for, I put $1000 which means they sold me a used, dented, scratched, and holed vehicle for a total of $21k when the best option on KBB for excellent condition is $15k. They are sneaky, they lie, they are rude, and they do not care about you so as long as they make a sale. They will sing you a sweet song to make it sound like a fantastic deal and tear it away from you. They also said they would fight to help my girlfriend get a car who I was cosigning for and call me back the next day. And they still never called or anything. They literally pulled out two brand new civics and let her and I sit in them and everything and said they were basically ours and took them away like it was nothing. My girlfriend left crying because of how let down she was. They lied to build us up and tear us down. If you like empty promises, horrible deals, and terrible service, this is the place for you. If you like cars that are equipped with cruise control and brake hold and special edition scratches, dents, and holes that you will not be informed of before buying, Hazelton Honda is the place. In the end i give this place 0/10 and 1/5 stars. I wouldnt give them any stars if I had an option to. I will never return and can not wait for this car to be paid of so I have no ties to these people ever again. read more
