Hello Everyone! My name is Sue Marcellos Zelaya! I was referred to Dr Wayne by Argyle and…read moreAssociates because they cancelled my tooth extraction right before August 16th, 2022 because they did not want to accomodate my special requirements to pull down the shades because I am heat intolerant and also I have asthma and heart issues and they did not want to bring down the heat to 18 or 19 degrees! After six months I was referred by the management from Argyle and Associates and then I ended up getting a date of Jan 5th, 2023 for 8:30 am to extract my back three teeth on the bottom left! I had called Dr Wayne prior to the appointment explaining too him that I was on antibiotics for my lungs because I have a condition called vasomotor rhinitis where my sinuses drain into my lungs and he said it was ok! On Jan 5th I showed up with my best friend and I told them all that my left bottom side is swollen and I think I have a infection inside the tooth! No one said anything about it or looked to see if that was the case! I went into a room and I was given 6 needles with marcaine and epinephrine and I am not supposed to take epinephrine because it will bring up my blood pressure and heart rate! Dr Wayne attempted too freeze me with this local anaesthetic and it didnt freeze 100% and I was screaming from pain instead and I told them after the six needles and the bright lam above me heating me up caused me to have chest pain and my blood pressure went up! Dr Wayne did not extract my teeth after that and said that I will have to do it another day and that I will need sedation and I told him from the beginning that I would need sedation because I react to epinephrine and I am heat intolerant and have lung and heart issues and sedation would be the appropriate way to remove my bottom lower back three teeth! I ask his asssitant Jay that I need a antibiotic because I believe that I have an infection and then Dr Wayne said he wasnt sure that I had a infection then I waited and was placed in another room to fill out forms to get into the Ottawa Hospital for sedation but I was told that there is a waiting period from 4 months too 2 years to get into the hopsital to be sedated! That was not a good siutation for me because I have already waited six months to go see Dr Wayne because Dr David Lee from Argyle and Associates would not accomadate me and cancelled my procedue last minute before August 16th, 2022! I left after I filled out the forms and then I came home and was still in pain from the infection in my tooth! I ended up going to Kemptville and the dentist told me that I had a infection in my tooth and that my teeth or gums would not freeze because there was a old caviity in one of my back teeth and it was cracked inside and the nerve was open ant that is why I was in so much pain! The dentist sent me home with antibiotics and then will call me back for a follow up to only extract one tooth not three! I have a question here for Dr Wayne..why didnt he know that I had a infection and why didnt he give me a prescription of antibiotics before I left his dental office and why did he say I needed three teeth extracted when it was only one tooth that was infected???? Can you someone please explain this to me! Thank you!

I'm currently in the middle of my incredibly smooth post-op recovery, and healing beautifully. Everything about my procedure has gone better than I could have imagined, thanks to this wonderful doctor. I honestly could not be happier, and I highly recommend Dr Wayne.

Argyle Associates may be excellent technically, but they have the business ethics of a feral cat!…read more Recently, my family dentist determined that the front tooth anchoring a four unit gold bridge in my lower right jaw was broken and needed to be extracted. We discussed various treatment options and agreed that installing two implants joined by a bridge would be the best solution. The healthy rear molar would be retained and the crown for it would be cut from the bridge and reattached to the tooth. Because, years earlier I had a good experience with Dr. Taylor McGuire at Argyle Associates, I asked to be referred to him for the extraction and implants and went to Argyle for a consultation. What I got, was not at all what I expected from a consultation. I expected him to look at my record and teeth, suggest a range of treatments, explain the pros and cons of each one and allow me to choose what fit my needs best, Instead, after waiting for an hour in the examination room, Dr McGuire came in, took a quick look at the x-ray and said that an extraction and two implants would be required. I tried to ask a couple of questions but he didn't he didn't seem to have the time or interest to discuss it. He dictated a note for my doctor and left turning me over to his Treatment Coordinator. She prepared a quote for me and scheduled a surgery appointment for the following week. At this point I still thought the implant/bridge solution I had originally asked for was what was being proposed but felt that things were moving too quickly. Dr. McGuire had not taken the time to properly explain exactly what was to be done, did not answer questions to my satisfaction, and I did not understand exactly what was going to take place. Two days before the surgery was to take place, I received a call from Argyle confirming the appointment and telling me I would be referred to a prothsodontist for a post-operative consultation. This was the first indication I had that something was not right. Why was I being referred to a prothsodontist who deals with dentures? I was told that he said the healthy rear molar could not be saved and would have to be removed. This was my second warning flag. After reading a pamphlet Argyle provided me, I awoke that night and realized that the procedure they were planning the next day was not the double implant and bridge procedure I my dentist and I had requested. Instead, they were planning to use a different type of implants to permanently secure a denture style appliance to my jaw. To do that they would have to remove the perfectly good rear molar. This was not at all what I had expected. I had not been fully informed during the consultation. The proposed procedure had not been carefully and completely explained to me. I did not fully understand what was about to happen, and I was not comfortable with it. Argyle was pushing me too quickly into their preferred procedure, which was also the most expensive, without taking into account my best interests. I had been misled into thinking that I was going to get the procedure my dentist and had requested and came close to making an irreversible mistake. When I awoke the next morning, I called Argyle and cancelled the following day's surgery and the prosthodontist referral. I said that I did not want to lose that back molar under any circumstances. I am now investigating other oral surgeons more concerned with their patient's needs, not what makes them the most money. For now, I will go ahead only with the broken tooth extraction and bone graft. I will wait for the bone graft to heal, take the time to seek other advice and thoroughly investigate all my options. Above all, I want to preserve the healthy rear molar which is critical to my overall bite if at all possible. Let this be a warning to everyone that, unless it's an emergency, do not simply accept the first thing your dentist proposes. Take your time, exercise due diligence, seek other opinions and make the most informed decision you can.

They treat you like a number or an ATM. They are very dismissive, condescending and judgemental. Also they text you but don't take replies to their text. I tried 3 offices with the front dest staff being exactly the same at every location. Do not recommend and will never go back.
