I love Redoux, as I can always find something unique to buy for myself or as a gift. Most gifts…read morethat I give come from this store. Lately I have found that the two ladies who work there are less than helpful or friendly. They act like you are bothering them. Also, Redoux always did free wrapping for you in a white bag with some tissue paper, nothing fancy. Now they charge 2.50 per gift. I totally understand that with the cost of supplies. I asked the lady with gray hair at the register if I could at least get the Redoux sticker to put on my own white gift bag and she told me it would be 2.50 for the small sticker. I explained I liked for the person to know that the store is wonderful so it might encourage them to shop there. I wasn't looking for a freebie but a way to advertise their business. Oh well, I will continue to shop there to support local, but the customer service could use some improvement.

Yet, when I arrived and told them of my troubles finding a decorative vent hood for a 10 ft ceiling, they got RIGHT ON IT. They found a very reasonably priced hood with the correct extension IN STOCK, so we wouldn't have only a pipe showing at the top waiting for months for it to come from China so we could install it and finish trimming it out with crown molding. Since we were soon planning to put our house up for sale. One of their guys even installed it on his day off. They were an absolute godsend. Can't thank them enough. Wonderful people!

They were okay prices but maybe a smidge high for thrifting. That selection was a little disappointing but maybe it's better on other days. They had a big table of Dunkin' Donuts bagged coffee and pods at really good prices but it was all pumpkin spice which really isn't my thing but if it's yours, you should head over (this is as of 2/4/23)! I may visit again and check if they sometimes get in other flavors. Have cash on-hand or be prepared to pay an additional 4% fee to use a debit or credit card. The store isn't that big and I was there on a Saturday, so it was rather crowded and I had to stand in line about 10-15 minutes because there was only one register. That's not a complaint because this is a small, charity thrift store. I bet the 2 or 3 ladies I saw who appeared to being working there are volunteers. The neighborhood in Mandeville where it's located is a walkable area with a couple of restaurants right down the street, The Rusty Pelican and Hambone. She took all of the guesswork out of the remodel by showing me specific designs of what it could look like. I was really nervous at the beginning because I have no design skills whatsoever and thought I would be overwhelmed with choices but she made it so easy! She really listened to what I said my basic style is and, knowing my fear of too many options, was able to show me a few specific examples for the end result.
