I've been to bowling alleys, that look like hell. They look 1987-1993. Like a time capsule. This place is well taken care of and has gotten some updates. The food is great and they have some killer items on the menu. Pizza, burgers, nachos, pretzels. The staff were friendly which is always a plus. The lanes were all well maintained. Bowling here was a 10/10 experience. Definitely coming back here. read more

Came bowling on a Sunday, had my child with us. They had no available lanes with both bumpers working. So we were on a lane with only 1 bumper working and the ball kept getting stuck in the bumper. Wasted some of our time, repeatedly having to wait for the ball to get fetched out of the gutter. For $35/hour, it would be nice to have all the parts working. My kiddo was a bit bummed getting quite a few gutters and eventually got embarrassed from having to have the guy come fetch her ball repeatedly. Also, women's bathroom was pretty messy, toilet paper all over and the 2 working stalls, the doors wouldn't latch closed properly. The food was great tho. read more

As far as vintage bowling lanes go, I like this place. It's old, they a have a lounge where you can grab a pitcher of brew, they have a grill to get your greasy treats and a small game room for kids and adults with pinball machines, air hockey and a few old console machines. I like to bowl and unlike vintage alleys. This is one of two I know of that remain in Vancouver. The pricing is higher than in the past, so I'd look for deals, or just get your own ball and shoes and save a little money and have a better time. read more

Left home and was there within 15 minutes and both times the response was no open lanes for several hours, even though half the lanes are not being used. I am a league bowler of over 2+ years and I'm severely disappointed in the decision to raise prices by 200%, its an absolutely terrible business decision and even the casual bowlers next to me didn't enjoy the stupid cosmic lanes with water vapor shooting all over the lanes. This was an absolutely terrible experience and I don't plan on coming back until David realizes he owns the only league certified lanes in the area. Shame on you David, you made golfing more affordable than bowling because I can go golf 9 holes at Pinecrest for $15 and it will last almost 2 hours. I don't plan on joining back during league either because if I can't make it to league it's now $70 for me to prebowl for the league on top of the $20/week for league. How greedy can the owner be? Usually I have a great attitude at the lanes but this makes me want to quit bowling altogether. I hope this place inherits a competent owner in the future. read more

One might think they could leave 5 or 6 lanes open for the public to bowl. But instead you cant ever get in there to bowl because they have league all the time. And if your not on league then you probably wont be able to bowl. We have tried numerous times and can not ever get a lane. Poor customer service. read more

They play great Rock n roll tunes. Cons: Shoes are stretched after years of use. All house bowling balls are drilled the same. Terrible customer service. The server takes our cups and throws a fit when asking for new cups since he took our cups. Rowen the guy with brunette short hair and glasses that worked night shift July 24 had a terrible tone. We asked new cups he stacked up our cups and getting ready to take them to the back. We weren't sure who's in the stack so we asked for new cups. He immediately got offended and started ranting about how our drinks were in the lane area next to us... where no one was. It wasn't. He could've asked if those were our cups, but he didn't. Weird part was it was obvious that we were still working on our drinks, the pitcher was FULL. We were just trying to get new cups. Come every Saturday night and when the younger guys are running things, no music, long waits with plenty of lanes open (we were 4th in line and waited for 45 minutes with 6 lanes not being used). Last weekend there was a lady here who I think was the manager who was absolutely fantastic!! These young men need some serious training on customer service expectations. Place is a gold mine if you have the right people running it. And is it really that hard to just keep the music playing? Actually, I think I'd fire these guys. Came here recently for their Thunder Alley bowling night. Rolled in a with a large group and started in the bar next door. The bar was pretty packed since it was some guy named Bernie's birthday. The service at the bar was pretty slow. Two bartenders for the whole bar and for the bowling alley. This simply DID NOT WORK. I waited several minutes just to get the bartender to look at me, and once I ordered it took several minutes more to get my drink. I ordered a cider so it wasn't complicated either. There was a huge line for the Thunder Alley bowling so we only ended up getting one lane for our group of 14 people. The guy at the counter didn't seem very friendly and was visibly annoyed by most of the patrons in the bowling alley. I get that bowling alleys dont always attract the best crowd, but dude needed an attitude adjustment. The bowling itself was fun though the music selection was definitely on the pop side of things. All in all, this is a great place to meetup with friends and have some silly fun. Nothing more, nothing less. Solid 3/5 read more

Starting at 4 pm the area gets very busy and you will soon find yourself either waiting a while for an available bowling lane or looking somewhere else. Keep that in mind if you plan to come here around this time. The services are adequate. Bowling shoes are quite worn and the bowling balls are all drilled the same. The bowling alley is fine. Typical 80's style. The karaoke is fun. The DJ is good. The sound system is good. The space is small though. Would be nice to have more space for dancing and more comfy chairs. Hate those high chairs. Not a great thing for people drinking a lot. I mean, that is why we come here. They would have a lot more business if they served drinks with actual alcohol in them. I drank two AMF's in a row. All i could taste is mixer. Didn't even get tipsy. Ridiculous, and it wasn't just once. Three times I've been here, bad drinks ruin the whole thing. I love the DJ, like the dynamic. Bad drinks ruin it all. Husted if you want more business in your bar, I suggest getting a new bartender without an alcohol problem or a new policy. I'm going to ICEHOUSE instead. The rudest customer service ever!!! A tall lady working behind the counter today at around 12:30 -1 . Brought 2 kids in to bowl, she sighs, then ask me , do they have the kids bowl free card? I'm like I'm not sure I am from out of town, but I do know there parents bowl league here. She says what does that have to do with kids bowl for free, I said oh , I just don't know how that works. She said I am never gonna be able to eat my lunch. I said oh, is this a bad time for us to come in ? She says no, but it would be nice to eat my lunch, we bowled one game on lane 3 and left!!! Went to watch my daughter bowl for her high school with my husband. While we were there the VERY RUDE lady (using that term loosely) insisted we pull up our masks. This was no issue for me but I was drinking something. Huge issue for my husband who gets very sick wearing masks because of the chemo. We didn't argue. Put up our masks. But also noticed that this lady walked by several others that she said nothing to. Eventually my husband needed to sit and we walked over to the far corner so he could remove his mask. Another employee walked out of the way (again past other guests not wearing masks) and told him to pull up his mask or we'd be asked to leave. I get companies pressure to insist on masks or a customer might turn your company in....but be consistent. And here's a suggestion...ask why. Don't be rude and selective. read more

I used to love this place!!! No open bowling even if you call ahead. You need to get your schedule under control.

Not a great place. Wanted a refund because my group wanted to leave early. Had not even played through one full game before we got bored. We had a second game already paid for in cash. There was no music, no fun lights, and the staff were, simply put, dense and unhelpful. Asked for a refund and the guy said, "I don't know how to to... my till would be short... I have never done a refund." That's how refunds work! The till is going to be short because the customer got their money back. Anyway he basically said "why don't you just play the game you paid for" in a very rude, sarcastic and demeaning tone. I did not have a tone with the teller and I wasn't even rude. I just accepted this is how they treat customers and went to finish the first game up and play the second. There were also minor inconveniences with the system working properly but that wasn't even an issue when the staff acts this way. There was an extremely long line for lanes. This doesn't seem like a place where you can just show up and bowl. We gave up on that plan and hung out in brown naugahyde lounge chairs sipping Rainers in a land that time forgot. Aging cowboys and girls were getting their karaoke croon on to classics like Dixie and Stand By Your Man. The old ones were pretty good. They've had a lot of time to figure out their jams. A waif-like drunk woman jutted her arse out and told us a hundred times, "These are my grandparents. My...grandparents. Forty years they've been together. Forty. Years. My. Grandparents. Look! Look at 'em! Forty years, forty years!" When not interpretive dancing she was rolling over the laps of three men like a wounded stripper. More satisfaction was had playing 80's first-person-shooter games in the quarter arcade. I only had to reload twice, but then I didn't hit enough of the bad guys so I got kicked off of my SEAL team. My son had his birthday party here and we had so much fun! The man who helped us was so helpful I believe he was the manager? We went on Sunday morning so it was during their inexpensive special time. My son and his friends are 13-14 years old and had a super good time. Had a great time bowling here. My favorite thing about it is you can pick and choose who among your players get bumpers - and when it is their time to bowl, the bumpers magically appear. Otherwise, it's a pretty typical bowling alley with the normal bowling alley smell and sounds. We'll be back next time we have a hankering for knocking down some pins. read more
