As far as vintage bowling lanes go, I like this place. It's old, they a have a lounge where you can grab a pitcher of brew, they have a grill to get your greasy treats and a small game room for kids and adults with pinball machines, air hockey and a few old console machines. I like to bowl and unlike vintage alleys. This is one of two I know of that remain in Vancouver. The pricing is higher than in the past, so I'd look for deals, or just get your own ball and shoes and save a little money and have a better time.

Luv this place loads of fun and leagues to Join. Meet many friends or new people and can sit and grab something to eat or drink. Many fun and challenging tournaments throughout the year also. Hazel Dell Lanes just Luv the Place

Pros: Big, clean and friendly. Full bar. We went for Cosmic bowling. It's glow in the dark. $14 per person for 3 hours of as much bowling you can squeeze in, includes shoes. They play great Rock n roll tunes. Cons: Shoes are stretched after years of use. All house bowling balls are drilled the same. Small finger holes cause for a rough night for big guys with sausage fingers. Had a ton of fun.

Lanes completely unused yet placing people on lists.

When they have the right staff it's great! Come every Saturday night and when the younger guys are running things, no music, long waits with plenty of lanes open (we were 4th in line and waited for 45 minutes with 6 lanes not being used). Last weekend there was a lady here who I think was the manager who was absolutely fantastic!! These young men need some serious training on customer service expectations. Place is a gold mine if you have the right people running it. And is it really that hard to just keep the music playing? Actually, I think I'd fire these guys. Last piece, guy gets on the intercom saying if they have to remind you to wear your mask they will force you gone!?? Wth?

BBQ pizza. All BBQ sauce, no cheese.

STAY AWAY FROM THE PIZZA YA'LL Got two different kinds and had trouble finishing them with a group of 12.. Karaoke wasn't bad tho.

When we arrived on reservation day, the staff was prepared with our reservation information and we completed the remaining payment and shoe rentals for our group. The process was smooth and painless. The snack bar staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. We ordered the club sandwich with fries and the pretzels with nacho cheese. Both were really good. We were pleasantly surprised. Reasonably priced and fresh ingredients. The establishment was clean and set up well. Happy we were able to eat while we bowled down by the scoring machine. We also appreciated that they spread out the bowling groups well, so we didn't feel like we were bowling on top of each other. Overall a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!

We payed and waited 25 minutes before we finally asked someone. The person we asked said the food has been ready at the front counter for the past 20 plus minutes. When we asked about the app and delivery she smirked off with... "that isn't her job, that's on someone else." We went up to get our food to be extremely disappointed. Chips were stale, cheese was ice cold and they put a mount of sour cream. We asked for a new set of nachos and the guy just put a layer of new hot cheese on a few chips. I wouldn't take my worst enemy to this place. Complete garbage food, smelt weird and very dirty. 1/10.. I give it a 1 because it's in a decent neighborhood.. I would give it a 0/10 but the lanes seemed well maintained.

Perfect rainy day activity…read more What to do on a Sunday when you have nothing to do! Well, bowl it is. We were told there was a 30 minute wait for a lane that we could only have for 90 minutes since a league needed a few lanes. The wait was just enough time for us to go to the other side to order a pitcher of cerveza and some grub. We had just poured a pint when the front desk called to say the lane opened up. We ended up waiting less than we initially thought. A win. The food we ordered was brought over to our table. We were starving. Let me tell you something, the food was amazing. Let me give you a rundown because we ate ate. We got the wings. That mango habanero was wow. We got dry rub for the other option. Also very good. The garlic parmesan fries was perfectly cooked. I kilt that dipping sauce. The corndog bites reminded me of my childhood. We also got a pizza. I'm not sure if it was the combination of my high from doing so well plus the two bowls I hit on the way over, but the food slapped. We ate everything. Killed all the plates. The foods slapped so hard I forgot to snap picas. The service was great. Everyone was nice. I specifically loved that their pins were free. I'm in a bowling league in LA and the pins at the spot I go to are held by strings and I firmly believe I'd have more strikes if they were free. Also, random but I loved their setup - a huge table with seats that slide back. It was great for when you got too comfortable yapping and forget it's your turn to bowl so you spring back. There was ample space for you to turn. I dug it. We ended up playing 3 games. Now I know where to hang whenever I'm in town.

Lots of "prize" games but very pricey & of course, the kids we brought wanted to win the big stuff like a brand new Nintendo Switch or PS5. Unfortunately one kid walked away with nothing (as a mom, totally expected that to happen. These games don't allow winners.) but my son spent probably 20+ dollars on a stuffed animal so I guess for him, it wasn't a total bust. The parking lot was pretty full, and I learned walking in that there was a bowling league there. Busy lanes! I can't speak to the food but did get a Bloody Mary which was decent enough. It's a sketchy area, if you aren't Portland-familiar. Don't leave valuables out in the open, blah, blah, blah. You know how the rest goes.

The service is consistently rude, cold, and unprofessional. It's the same group every time, and nothing ever improves. There's no sense of customer service. Just short attitudes and a clear vibe that they don't want to be there or deal with people. On my most recent visit, I had an issue where my phone number was entered incorrectly. When I pointed it out, instead of simply fixing it, the response I got was irritation and attitude. Like I was the problem for asking them to correct their own mistake. That kind of interaction is unacceptable anywhere, especially in a place that markets itself as family-friendly. At this point, it's not a one-off, it's a pattern. When multiple visits consistently come with the same poor experience, it reflects a bigger issue with management and expectations. We enjoy bringing our kids here, but the ongoing lack of basic professionalism from the bar staff and the wait staff in the bowling alley, is seriously dragging down the experience. It shouldn't be this hard to get decent service. We all know it all starts at the top.

I was a little put off by the taxidermied animals around the venue and some of the processes felt a bit overly complicated. For example: we had gift cards and were told we had to go to the front desk to combine them then we had to go to one of the kiosks to transfer that card for a game card. Also, for bowling, I went to the check-in desk and was told I had to sign up using the QR code and then check back with the desk employee after registering on my phone (a process that was all the more complicated by the fact that I had bad service there but they did have free WiFi). All that said, still had a pretty decent time.

It was quite, about 3 patrons already seated, eating, and a few more at the video games/casino room. We've known about this restaurant for 13 years, since I've been coming in the area to do my market. This is actually the first time, we stopped inside for food. The booth where we sat, was too worn down, that I sank way low, the table comes up to my chest, we decided to sit ourselves on the dining table. The table we picked and already seated by then, was sticky. After my order, I mentioned our waitress, about it, and she came give it a nice clean. We waited awhile for our server, but not too long. Football games were playing on the large screens. From the menu we ordered, BLT sandwich with Beef & Barley Soup (I asked), and French Dip Sandwich with a side salad and Ranch Dressing. All the food were pretty good (since we didn't fix it ourselves), except the au jus which we found a bit salty. Our server was pleasant and checked with us several times. However, at the end, when we were waiting for our check, she went out for smoke. I went to use the restroom, came back, and still waiting for her to finish her smoke, sitting there waiting, bored! The chairs were pretty worn down, the restrooms need a good scrubbing, and re-painted the writings on the walls. In other words, a good make-over!
