I've been to bowling alleys, that look like hell. They look 1987-1993. Like a time capsule. This place is well taken care of and has gotten some updates. The food is great and they have some killer items on the menu. Pizza, burgers, nachos, pretzels. The staff were friendly which is always a plus. The lanes were all well maintained. Bowling here was a 10/10 experience. Definitely coming back here. read more

Hazel Dell Lanes - The main entrance - Bowling Near Me - Vancouver, Washington

Fun no frills old school bowling alley! It's nostalgic and well maintained We had a blast!

Good place to bowl bad place to work the main manager in charge is a complete two faced lady she doesn't stick up for her employees and she will talk crap about everyone behind there backs then smile and pretend she likes them to there face. She loves the drama and gossip about any stupid thing that goes on there. She basically has no life and the bowling alley and drama that goes on with it are about it. She never teaches anybody anything new there so she basically is needed when someone can't figure it out or she just doesn't want to show them. Everyone else is pretty chill but the manager is washed up been there too long and they expect you to sit around and pick your nose all day. There is no pleasing the lady. She probably fires someone every three months or so. read more

It's just a fun place to take kids n elders. Nice lanes. Priced pretty good too. They serve food but we didn't buy anything. But it's there. read more

Always friendly and helpful. Love the leagues and the service. Proshop is amazing and knowledgeable.

As far as vintage bowling lanes go, I like this place. It's old, they a have a lounge where you can grab a pitcher of brew, they have a grill to get your greasy treats and a small game room for kids and adults with pinball machines, air hockey and a few old console machines. I like to bowl and unlike vintage alleys. This is one of two I know of that remain in Vancouver. The pricing is higher than in the past, so I'd look for deals, or just get your own ball and shoes and save a little money and have a better time. read more

We have been customers for over ten years We hit the parking bumper with no issues but were told by the bar tender on 2/1/25 at 0930 she couldn't or wouldn't serve us! Great loyalty!! See ya at Crosby read more

Came bowling on a Sunday, had my child with us. They had no available lanes with both bumpers working. So we were on a lane with only 1 bumper working and the ball kept getting stuck in the bumper. Wasted some of our time, repeatedly having to wait for the ball to get fetched out of the gutter. For $35/hour, it would be nice to have all the parts working. My kiddo was a bit bummed getting quite a few gutters and eventually got embarrassed from having to have the guy come fetch her ball repeatedly. Also, women's bathroom was pretty messy, toilet paper all over and the 2 working stalls, the doors wouldn't latch closed properly. The food was great tho. read more

Most unorganized establishment ever. Twice I have called and asked if they had open lanes to bowl. Left home and was there within 15 minutes and both times the response was no open lanes for several hours, even though half the lanes are not being used. SO WHY SAY THERE ARE OPEN LANES WHEN YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO RENT THEM OUT? Stay away! read more

The online reservation portal was extremely easy to navigate and made checking in really smooth and easy for my party. 2 hours and 3 lanes was perfect for two games for a party of 13. We had a great time and the pricing was reasonable. Definitely coming back! read more

I am a league bowler of over 2+ years and I'm severely disappointed in the decision to raise prices by 200%, its an absolutely terrible business decision and even the casual bowlers next to me didn't enjoy the stupid cosmic lanes with water vapor shooting all over the lanes. This was an absolutely terrible experience and I don't plan on coming back until David realizes he owns the only league certified lanes in the area. Shame on you David, you made golfing more affordable than bowling because I can go golf 9 holes at Pinecrest for $15 and it will last almost 2 hours. I don't plan on joining back during league either because if I can't make it to league it's now $70 for me to prebowl for the league on top of the $20/week for league. How greedy can the owner be? Usually I have a great attitude at the lanes but this makes me want to quit bowling altogether. I hope this place inherits a competent owner in the future. read more

One might think they could leave 5 or 6 lanes open for the public to bowl. But instead you cant ever get in there to bowl because they have league all the time. And if your not on league then you probably wont be able to bowl. We have tried numerous times and can not ever get a lane. Poor customer service. read more

Pros: Big, clean and friendly. Full bar. We went for Cosmic bowling. It's glow in the dark. $14 per person for 3 hours of as much bowling you can squeeze in, includes shoes. They play great Rock n roll tunes. Cons: Shoes are stretched after years of use. All house bowling balls are drilled the same. Small finger holes cause for a rough night for big guys with sausage fingers. Had a ton of fun. read more

Would give full 5 stars, bartender was amazing and bowling was fun. HOWEVER, lady upfront named MICHELLE. The whole business would run much better without her. read more

Terrible customer service. The server takes our cups and throws a fit when asking for new cups since he took our cups. Rowen the guy with brunette short hair and glasses that worked night shift July 24 had a terrible tone. We asked new cups he stacked up our cups and getting ready to take them to the back. We weren't sure who's in the stack so we asked for new cups. He immediately got offended and started ranting about how our drinks were in the lane area next to us... where no one was. It wasn't. He could've asked if those were our cups, but he didn't. Weird part was it was obvious that we were still working on our drinks, the pitcher was FULL. We were just trying to get new cups. Simple request. preferably without the negative rude attitude. read more

When they have the right staff it's great! Come every Saturday night and when the younger guys are running things, no music, long waits with plenty of lanes open (we were 4th in line and waited for 45 minutes with 6 lanes not being used). Last weekend there was a lady here who I think was the manager who was absolutely fantastic!! These young men need some serious training on customer service expectations. Place is a gold mine if you have the right people running it. And is it really that hard to just keep the music playing? Actually, I think I'd fire these guys. Last piece, guy gets on the intercom saying if they have to remind you to wear your mask they will force you gone!?? Wth? read more

Soon to be the only Alley on Vancouvers West Side. The lanes are great, League loves them. Issue is overall maintenance of the building. Roof has water leaks that have been around for several years. Air conditioning doesn't work in the bar, bathroom plumbing sucks. Hopefully they can get the property management company to do some maintenance. read more

Came to Hazel Dell lanes as a Chaperonon on a field trip! I ordered my food at 6:00 pm Didn't get my food until 7:51. ( I asked for a refund at 7:30 pm Our bus leaves at 8:00 pm! I asked for a refund They told me they don't give refunds! I told them I paid you over $30.00 and you are refusing a refund and i don't get my order! I said I understand your busy but I want my money back if I don't get my order!! Finely got my order at 7:51 !!!!Did not have time to eat it and had to box up the orders! Some of the kids asked to have bumpers on their lane and they were told no because they were to big. I know we had a big party but to be told that i Would not get my money back even if I didn't get my food ! I would never recommend this place Because they told me I would not get my money back ! Not our fault you could not keep up with the orders! Very unhappy! read more

Came here recently for their Thunder Alley bowling night. Rolled in a with a large group and started in the bar next door. The bar was pretty packed since it was some guy named Bernie's birthday. The service at the bar was pretty slow. Two bartenders for the whole bar and for the bowling alley. This simply DID NOT WORK. I waited several minutes just to get the bartender to look at me, and once I ordered it took several minutes more to get my drink. I ordered a cider so it wasn't complicated either. There was a huge line for the Thunder Alley bowling so we only ended up getting one lane for our group of 14 people. The guy at the counter didn't seem very friendly and was visibly annoyed by most of the patrons in the bowling alley. I get that bowling alleys dont always attract the best crowd, but dude needed an attitude adjustment. The bowling itself was fun though the music selection was definitely on the pop side of things. All in all, this is a great place to meetup with friends and have some silly fun. Nothing more, nothing less. Solid 3/5 read more

I have been bowling here for a number of years since 2011 - 2012 for fun. This is a good place to hang out with friends and family. However this is not a place where you can just drop in and bowl. Starting at 4 pm the area gets very busy and you will soon find yourself either waiting a while for an available bowling lane or looking somewhere else. Keep that in mind if you plan to come here around this time. The services are adequate. Bowling shoes are quite worn and the bowling balls are all drilled the same. Overall, this is a good place to bowl. read more

Some of the best experiences in life are when you are treated like family. This is a family run business and return customers are their lifeline. Love this place and love the owners. As far a quality lanes go, there no better alley in Vancouver. Michelle, the owner, works her butt off and is always super nice when I come in. It's not easy running a business this day and age, let alone a bowling alley. The care and maintenance they put towards the lanes truely shows. This is THE place to go if you are a serious bowler. I hope to be able to bowl here for many years to come! read more

The bowling alley is fine. Typical 80's style. The karaoke is fun. The DJ is good. The sound system is good. The space is small though. Would be nice to have more space for dancing and more comfy chairs. Hate those high chairs. Not a great thing for people drinking a lot. I mean, that is why we come here. They would have a lot more business if they served drinks with actual alcohol in them. I drank two AMF's in a row. All i could taste is mixer. Didn't even get tipsy. Ridiculous, and it wasn't just once. Three times I've been here, bad drinks ruin the whole thing. I love the DJ, like the dynamic. Bad drinks ruin it all. Husted if you want more business in your bar, I suggest getting a new bartender without an alcohol problem or a new policy. I'm going to ICEHOUSE instead. And that's ONLY because of the watered down drinks. Stop screwing your customers over. read more

The rudest customer service ever!!! A tall lady working behind the counter today at around 12:30 -1 . Brought 2 kids in to bowl, she sighs, then ask me , do they have the kids bowl free card? I'm like I'm not sure I am from out of town, but I do know there parents bowl league here. She says what does that have to do with kids bowl for free, I said oh , I just don't know how that works. She said I am never gonna be able to eat my lunch. I said oh, is this a bad time for us to come in ? She says no, but it would be nice to eat my lunch, we bowled one game on lane 3 and left!!! Will be sure to let the parents know ( since they bowl league there ) that we had a pretty rude lady , and hopefully they change alleys! read more

Went to watch my daughter bowl for her high school with my husband. While we were there the VERY RUDE lady (using that term loosely) insisted we pull up our masks. This was no issue for me but I was drinking something. Huge issue for my husband who gets very sick wearing masks because of the chemo. We didn't argue. Put up our masks. But also noticed that this lady walked by several others that she said nothing to. Eventually my husband needed to sit and we walked over to the far corner so he could remove his mask. Another employee walked out of the way (again past other guests not wearing masks) and told him to pull up his mask or we'd be asked to leave. I get companies pressure to insist on masks or a customer might turn your company in....but be consistent. And here's a suggestion...ask why. Don't be rude and selective. read more

This place is way old school. However, everything works and the staff is very accommodating. Especially in the daytime. The barkeeps are great. And the front desk will make things happen. Yes it's in Hazel Dell...but it's still great. Never crowded and really chill. Go here and bowl and eat and drink and laugh. You won't get ripped off and you won't regret it. read more

There was an extremely long line for lanes. This doesn't seem like a place where you can just show up and bowl. We gave up on that plan and hung out in brown naugahyde lounge chairs sipping Rainers in a land that time forgot. Aging cowboys and girls were getting their karaoke croon on to classics like Dixie and Stand By Your Man. The old ones were pretty good. They've had a lot of time to figure out their jams. A waif-like drunk woman jutted her arse out and told us a hundred times, "These are my grandparents. My...grandparents. Forty years they've been together. Forty. Years. My. Grandparents. Look! Look at 'em! Forty years, forty years!" When not interpretive dancing she was rolling over the laps of three men like a wounded stripper. More satisfaction was had playing 80's first-person-shooter games in the quarter arcade. I only had to reload twice, but then I didn't hit enough of the bad guys so I got kicked off of my SEAL team. Or whatever it was. Delta Force? I don't remember. It was epic though. Know that. read more

My son had his birthday party here and we had so much fun! The man who helped us was so helpful I believe he was the manager? We went on Sunday morning so it was during their inexpensive special time. My son and his friends are 13-14 years old and had a super good time. We brought in his birthday cupcakes and bought our pitchers of pop at the alley. Just remember that cake is ok to bring in but no outside food otherwise. We will definitely be back! Thank you Hazeldell lanes. read more

Came in with a group of 5 and we got a lane right away. It was pretty packed, lots of young kids (expected). Love that there was a bar on site, thank you. But the seating at the lanes really fell short from what I'm used to, I wasn't impressed and I probably won't be back but that's okay. read more

Hazel Dell Lanes - Do not order the nachos. but hey at least there's beer? - Bowling Near Me - Vancouver, Washington

I used to love this place!!! No open bowling even if you call ahead. You need to get your schedule under control.

Not a great place. Wanted a refund because my group wanted to leave early. Had not even played through one full game before we got bored. We had a second game already paid for in cash. There was no music, no fun lights, and the staff were, simply put, dense and unhelpful. Asked for a refund and the guy said, "I don't know how to to... my till would be short... I have never done a refund." That's how refunds work! The till is going to be short because the customer got their money back. Anyway he basically said "why don't you just play the game you paid for" in a very rude, sarcastic and demeaning tone. I did not have a tone with the teller and I wasn't even rude. I just accepted this is how they treat customers and went to finish the first game up and play the second. There were also minor inconveniences with the system working properly but that wasn't even an issue when the staff acts this way. Never would recommend and I am disappointed this place still runs with this type of behavior. read more

Locally the best lane conditions in the area. Thanks Hazel dell for your excellent services.

Got here at 7:30pm and the guy running the front said the computer is down and out party can't bowl which is bs. So many lanes open. Don't come here if you don't wanna get disrespected read more

Had a great time bowling here. My favorite thing about it is you can pick and choose who among your players get bumpers - and when it is their time to bowl, the bumpers magically appear. Otherwise, it's a pretty typical bowling alley with the normal bowling alley smell and sounds. We'll be back next time we have a hankering for knocking down some pins. read more

Really upset me that these lanes cancelled a bowling tournament 'cuz they forgot to right it down'. Amazing they can't keep that straight. The place shows signs of wear and tear - just a plain old bowling alley with nothing special going on. read more

Sad day, usually Saturday nights are rockin but tonight the bro at the register rolled his eye before reluctantly adding me to a wait list. Kind of a bummer. The ladies at the restaurant were awesome tho. ‍ read more

Horrible experience. Guy let's me buy a game of bowing and shoes with my 3 year old. Then I ask how to get the bumpers to work and he says they don't have bumpers. Don't you think you should tell someone with a very small child in advance that there's no bumpers. Then the rack he gave us for her to roll the ball off was trash. Will never return. read more
