You could hire the fanciest stylist and most well-known makeup artist in Toronto, but what if they take 10 days to reply to your email or only give you the time of day a week before your wedding? That might not be a problem to some couples, but it was to us. It actually took awhile for us to find a makeup artist in Toronto who a) didn't have certain demands regarding travel, packages, etc., b) didn't take 5 days to respond to us, c) actually showed genuine compassion and interest in their work and craft, and for their client. I met Daniela a few months before our wedding, and knew she was the one! Out of over 20 makeup artists in Toronto that I contacted, she was the only one who suggested an in-person meeting to talk about my wedding. Honestly, I can't even express how much I appreciated that. She came to our meeting prepared, actually took the time to take notes and understand what I'd be wearing, the look and style I was going for, etc. I knew from the very start that, with Daniela, I was in very good, talented, and responsible hands. And as a bride, trust in your vendor is so key - and I trusted Daniela fully! On our wedding day, Daniela came early and prepared, and was totally unfazed when my mom changed her mind about what she wanted. She is the epitome of creativity, talent, and professionalism. And most importantly - I loved the look she gave me on our wedding day! She can do so many types of looks, and can totally diversify if you ask her to. My make-up looked beautiful and I had loads of compliments about it all day. Daniela even gave me my own tube of touch-up gloss to go, so that I could keep myself looking fresh all day. Faces 顏妝 used to be on East Beaver Creek Road. It is now located inside Shoppes of the Parkway next to Sheraton Parkway Hotel. They are not quite Googleable and they are not on Yelp yet. So I hope this review helps! Connie, the store owner, was very experienced, helpful, easy to work with and super down to earth. My mom really liked her... I think because they can related to each other - the Asian mom thing lol. We actually ended up hiring Connie and her assistant as our hair and make-up artists on the wedding day. They did the hair and make-up for my mom and all my bridesmaids. She followed me the whole entire day making sure I looked fantastic with new hairstyles and make-up every time I changed into something new :) The beautiful wedding dress was love at first sight and I actually bought mine here instead of renting it. For this dress, renting was like $600 (no alterations allowed!), buying was $900 including alterations to fit your size, and Connie will dry clean it for you before you pick it up... so why not :) Their traditional Chinese qipao was also worth buying, and it looked gorgeous on me (alterations also included) ^^ Most bridal studios offer packages where they lend you minimum 3 dresses (usually 1 wedding dress, 1 traditional Chinese qipao, and 1 evening gown). I bought all mine... I know, baller right? hahaha.. I find that your selection is quite limited when you rent... I have more control when I buy my own. Afterall, you want to look your BEST on your wedding day, right girls? :)

I was ultra amazed that I did not tear up when she did my eyes as they are ultra sensitive to everything. I booked her exactly a year before my wedding. A month prior to the wedding, we had a consultation meeting. Betty was also very professional, efficient with communication, and always on time. She's also one of the sweetest ppl I know. On my day I had no worries even though I had only slept for an hour and 15 mins. She made me look as though I had plenty of energy, flawless skin and I am forever thankful :) She had about 2-3 other MUAs with her on my day for the bridesmaids makeup & hair. I thought they looked bloody spectacular ! For the PM touch up, I also requested for a hair change & she stayed with me till after the tea ceremony to prep for the cocktail hour.
