Not my idea of grand, however, but many much more worse places to be. The most impressive factor was that I had a personal item of A+ priority and I did get it returned to me promptly. Everyone should exhibit a certain decent amount of friendly based upon their career. They are NOT car salesmen. The vending machines were modern and they did have a state of the art Inmate System. Securus/Smart Deposit. I had to use the restroom and it was clean with locks on the restroom to limit any more forms of drama. Who in the heck makes a date to the County Jail? So why would I even think to take a peek at this facility, however the people in the jail were cool as heck. Jails should give YOU EVERY reason to provoke NO return. P.S. I was there as a potential criminal elated about freedom of speech

My Aunt is a translator for the International Confederation of Wizards Quidditch Committee (ICWQC) so the seats were pretty good. As you know wizards usually apparate but for international travel a portkey is the best. The nearest portkey for me is Bob the turkey https://www.yelp.com/biz/bob-the-turkey-statue-woodstock?uid=FdPioXvctMq8lhBtd_NnTg&utm_campaign=www_business_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) in downtown Woodstock. And since Bob the turkey is a local portkey-meaning that its only used for regional travel...I had to come to the One man jail cell in order to transfer to an international portkey. This portkey can be found on the muggle map called Google which has a more accurate direction https://goo.gl/maps/BD96Fb9xhdP2 The real address is 47 Delta Place NE Atlanta, GA 30307. Its listed as Inman Park Lockbox and apparently use to be a real jail cell from back in the 1800's... We were able to get to our destination (sorry but we can't reveal the destination) and will probably be back for the 2019 World cup!

An interesting remnant of a bygone era, the OMJC or the "iron maiden" was used by foot patrolmen to temporarily hold prisoners waiting for the paddy wagon in the 1880s (according to Atlanta Walks). Surprisingly, it's in good condition with a working door. It is rather skinny with only tiny skylights for lighting...not recommended for anyone with claustrophobia or nyctophobia. The OMJC stands alone at Delta Park in Inman Park. This tiny triangular shaped park is in the middle of 3 intersections. Hence the name? Also found at Delta Park is a historic civil war marker that has nothing to do with the OMJC. Free and not touristy. Parking is street. A quirky slice of history... maybe Atlanta has been a little offbeat all along!

If you're searching for a spot that blends breathtaking scenery with a dash of local history,…read moreLookout Point is an absolute must-visit. Perched high above the landscape, it offers panorama views that make you feel like you're standing at the edge of the world. Sunsets here don't just glow--they ignite the entire horizon. What really elevates the experience is the historical depth woven into the place. Lookout Point has long served as a natural vantage point, used for centuries by early travelers, surveyors, and even Indigenous communities who recognized its strategic height and sweeping visibility. In the early 1900s, as the area developed, the point became a favored destination for weekend picnics, stargazing nights, and scenic drives. Some of the original stonework and trail markers still remain, giving the area a timeless charm. Today, it continues to be a beloved spot for hikers, photographers, history buffs, and anyone who wants a quiet escape. The trails are well-kept, the air feels crisp, and the soundscape is a blend of wind, birds, and quiet awe from other visitors. Whether you're capturing the view through a camera lens or simply taking a moment to breathe, the place has a way of grounding you. Verdict: If you're anywhere nearby, don't just think about visiting--go. Bring a camera, bring someone you like, or just bring yourself. Lookout Point is one of those places that leaves you a little different than when you arrived.

As of 2014, more than 8,000 were interred on the site. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgia_National_Cemetery It's not an easy place to get to and if you didn't know it's here you would drive right past it...I did...there is a gate at the entrance but I couldn't find any information on when it is locked or unlocked so not very helpful there. It's extremely clean, well maintained and filled with beautiful structures of tributes. There is a restroom up front by the entrance so I suggest if you think you need to go then you should go then before you get on with your visit.... Not sure what the parking policies are but I was able to park on the side and walk around with not problems.
