I have been here twice (never realized where it was located until a friend brought me). I love the pretzel logs. Today I tried the cheesesteak pretzel log which was flavorful and then my husband and I shared a waffle cone. It was busy because it was a Saturday night on a warm, summer day, BUT the lines move quickly. There is plenty of parking - there is overflow parking beyond the pond. The kids have a playground to enjoy as well as ducks to feed. This is a great place for food n ice cream and it supports a great mission.

I don't know why it took me so long to find out about this place but so thankful I did! Since my first visit we've been here several times, sometimes traveling the distance from Landisville to New Holland just to pick up one of their pretzal logs. At today's gas prices that's saying alot! A pretzal log is like an explosion of flavor in your mouth. With a crispy outside and gooey inside it comes stuffed with different ingrediants. There's cheesesteak, pizza, chicken and ranch, and the list goes on. The corse sea salt adds the perfect pop of saltiness. My personal favorite is the chicken and ranch. The pretzal log is one of several pretzal items they offer and in addition to freshly made soups, salads, and boxed to go items. And who can forget ice cream! The inside has a log cabinet feel and upper and lower dining. Outside there's picnic tables, a pond with gazebo for feeding the ducks, and a kids play area. The entire property is super clean and well maintained. The employees are Amish/Mennonite and very friendly. Across the street is a farm stand selling fresh produce and plants. It's a short drive off Route 23 in the heart of Amish Country. A must visit for tourists and locals alike and sure to be a favorite amoungst your youngest family members.

Best Handmade to Order Pretzel & Ice Cream in Lancaster. Their pulled pork sandwiches sit on a Lancaster snowflake roll which makes them amazing (the sauce on the side is prob. Sweet baby rays but it serviceable. Great place for families with their large duck pond and average size jungle gym. All Proceeds Support Allegany Boys Camp, which is awesome - but so are their products - Win! Win! Summer Saturday Bonus - Excellent Amish roadside bbq chicken stand across the street at the produce stand

Delicious ice cream; profits go to a good cause. Looks like a fun area for children. Can't wait to go back when we're in the area.

It's like walking into a farmhouse-inspired shoppe with many local treats including their famous creamy icecream, a delightful seating section of rocking chairs by the fireplace, a full cafe, and a farm-inspired playplace for the kiddos! It's a great spot for friends, community and the entire family! I had the rotisserie chicken noodle soup, and while the thicker consistency is true to the area, I'm used to and prefer a thinner consistency with diced chicken. I've been here on multiple occasions and the service overall is good. On this particular day that I went, the young lady at the counter was very pleasant, sweet and helpful.

Apart from the really nice location I feel like this place could really work on the seasoning of their soup specifically. It reminds me of cafeteria food which isn't all that bad but just an average place to eat at. The servers here are all very nice and make you feel at home. Overall it's a chill spot to come and hang out. I am currently sitting on a rocking chair next to a fire place inside the location writing this, come enjoy the atmosphere.

The inside of the restaurant is somewhat narrow, but long. They have a variety of seating available and I was put in a comfy booth towards the front. Both the employee working at the host stand and my server were very friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be working there. My server said she had been there since she was 15 years old and seemed to have good report with the regulars. I ordered a small spring house salad with the dressing on the side and the cheesesteak stuffed pretzel. The stuffed pretzel was greasy and amazing in all of the ways a good Amish pretzel is. It had the right amount of salty and sweet and the cheesesteak filling was hot and gooey. The pickle and chips on the side added a nice crunch. The salad was fresh and loaded with toppings. I wished I had room for ice cream because all of the flavors in the case next to where I was seated sounded delicious, but I was too full. I asked for a rice krispie to go and it didn't let me down. It had a nice vanilla flavor and that fresh marshmallow-y pull in each bite. Prices were more than fair for the quality. The bathroom is outside in a separate building, but was also easy to locate and clean. I will be back to try some ice cream!

My husband and I looked for the best BBQ places in the area and landed on The BBQ Barn. A small and cute little barn sits in the corner of the plaza (on the right of Target). We ordered chicken and rib dinners with an extra pulled pork sandwich (we ordered way too much but needed to try it all!!). Dinner plates come with Cole slaw, a dinner roll, potatoes, and a whoopie pie. There is seating outside. We both agreed that the chicken may have been the best we have ever had. It was seasoned so well and perfectly cooked. The ribs came with bbq sauce on the side. There was a line, but service was quick and efficient. The grills are right in front and you can see the cooking happening! Inside the barn, I could see them rolling out fresh pretzels. They also had homemade root beer, which was very good! After we finished eating, I couldn't help but grab a vanilla ice cream cone to share with my dogs. They agree too, best soft serve ice cream we have ever had. Since getting home, we have already talked about how we need to plan a trip back to Lancaster to get more BBQ and explore the area a bit longer.

Full meal is a great deal that includes three small grilled red potatoes, a small coleslaw, roll, whoopie pie, and drink for $12.50-$14.00 depending on your meat and beverage choice. They sell "homemade" root beer that I tried and it was good and tasted like the original drove in A&W root beer except it lacked carbonation. We had a sandwich plus one full meal for about $20 and left a small tip. Note that this is a casual place with outdoor seating only, similar to a food truck. Thankfully the picnic table seating is mostly in the shade. I do recommend this place for a quick lunch or dinner and noticed local Amish eating there while we had lunch. today.
