'Exceptional' is not an easy trait to find in a service profession. As two legal and healthcare professionals, we recognize and appreciate an effort that exceeds every metric of expectation. If you're reading this review, you've discovered a real estate professional who embodies all of these qualities. As first-time home buyers (and newcomers to Chicago to boot), we couldn't have asked for a better experience than the one we had with Hayley. From the moment we met, she took the time to understand our needs and preferences, patiently guiding us through the entire home buying process. Hayley didn't just show us properties; she educated us on the neighborhood dynamics, helped us avoid pitfalls, and empowered us to make informed decisions. What truly impressed us about Hayley was her masterful negotiation skills. Thanks to her expertise and strategic approach, we were able to secure our dream home for well under the asking price. But Hayley didn't stop there. She offered invaluable design advice for our new home, helping us envision how to personalize the space to fit our style. Her keen eye for detail and creative suggestions truly made a difference in turning our house into a home. Hayley is not just a real estate agent--she's trusted advisor, a skilled negotiator, and a genuine advocate for her clients. Her dealmaking skills are matched only by her candor. And, take it from us: you want honest opinions at every juncture of the real estate process. With Hayley, it's not just a job--it's a passion. She transformed a typically stressful rollercoaster into an engaging (and ultimately fulfilling) experience. And, that's not to say there weren't obstacles that cropped up along the way! But, Hayley's fearlessness neutralized every single issue. Hayley scored lifelong clients with us and we rest easy knowing that we've got Chicago's best real estate strategist in our corner. If you're in the market for a smart, savvy and dynamic real estate advocate, this is your sign. You've found her. Zach & Trevor read more

We are so glad Hayley was recommended to us by a family member. So glad she and her team were in our corner! She really went above and beyond to get the best deal on the perfect little home for us. She really knows the area and market. We really appreciated her recommendations on contractors and vendors too. Cannot imagine anyone working harder for their client. read more

Imagine a world where you show up for a casual game of softball with friends in Lincoln Park. Alongside your normal buddies you randomly recruit Cubs Centre Fielder Cody Bellinger to your team. It probably wouldn't feel fair on the opposition, right? That's what it feels like working with Hayley and Colby. We have both bought and sold with them and they are so far ahead of the other realtors you deal with it almost feels unfair. Both of them are professional, reliable and exceptionally competent. I highly recommend both of them. read more

Hayley went above and beyond helping me find a home in Chicago. She demonstrated unwavering professionalism and expertise. She was very patient throughout the process. Moving from CA without a set timeline and knowledge of the different neighborhoods, she showed me around and made recommendations of places to explore. She was always available, responsive and followed up without being pushy. Everyone I interacted with on her team was very knowledgeable. Hayley also provided some input on selling my out of state properties. She's been following up post close. I would highly recommend her, and would use her again in the future. read more

Jamie Book and Hayley Westhoff helped guide me into buying the right Multi-Family building and communicated with me throughout the whole process. There are a lot of paperwork that goes into buying a home and they were on top of it. I can't thank them enough for their knowledge in the Chicago markets and real estate. read more

Hayley and Christie sold my 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo in Old Town. First, Hayley and Christie came to the listing interview and they were very well prepared. They had done research of the comps and their presentation materials were next level. Next, they suggested some minor improvements to my place that I believe were essential to making the sale. They chose new cabinet color, paint and new carpet that really modernized and improved the look of my place. Once the place was listed, Hayley and Christie attended every showing and held open houses. But what really stood out was when things became difficult with my condo association, Hayley and Christie had my back the entire time. They worked with the association to help get past the issue and keep the sale in place (in addition to keeping me sane). I give Hayley and Christie 5 full stars and I would highly recommend them. read more

I was on the hunt for my first ever condo, and I honestly couldn't have done it without Hayley and her team. As a first time buyer, there were a lot of unknowns for me and Hayley had so much patience and explained everything with such clarity that I felt incredibly comfortable throughout my hunting/purchasing experience. My favorite part was the entire network Hayley has built - from lenders to inspectors and even contractors you might want to use post-purchase. I really was able to trust everyone fully and that made the process so much easier for me. Highly recommend! read more

Hayley Westhoff is a honest and patient real estate agent who is truly on top of her game. As a first time home buyer, choosing to work with Hayley was hands down the best decision we made, aside from the house itself. We had met with three other real estate agents before meeting Hayley, however, the agents prior were not nearly as determined, diligent, or dedicated to finding us a home like Hayley. Throughout our long search, about 10 months, Hayley was patient and understanding. From start to finish, she was responsive to every question or request that we had with a well-informed response. In addition, Hayley is extremely experienced about the space and well connected. It was her knowledge about the market place and her connections that helped us find a pocket listing, and negotiate a strong offer while avoiding a bidding war scenario. Upon the acceptance of our offer, Hayley and her team worked with us every step of the way to navigate the elaborate process of closing. All in all, it was a pleasure working with Hayley, and I would gladly recommend her, in high regard, to anyone looking to purchase a home. read more

Usually when I write a review, one platform is enough. But Hayley is so terrific, I'm leaving a review on several. She is a consummate professional and also incredibly nice! I am so, so grateful to her and to Jamie for the work they did in helping me sell a family home. They were so hands-on and had a ton of suggestions to make an emotional process much easier. Honestly, I'm trying not to gush right now. This is actually our second time using Hayley's services, and if our expectations were high going into this because of our past experience, she blew them out of the water this time around. I cannot recommend her enough. read more

Hayley was great! She understood my requests and found me exactly what I was looking for. From start to finish I felt very confident with her navigation through the process, especially moving from out of state. read more

My husband and I recently sold our condo and bought our new home with Hayley and we highly recommend her because of her expertise, patience, and professionalism especially during the COVID pandemic. We sold our condo in 14 days and had two competing offers for full price. She helped with the anxiety of finding a new home even in the uncertainty of the market and her years of experience was invaluable. She was prompt and easy to reach at all times. She was a pro during the negotiation process and gave us great advice to get us the home we love below ask! read more

Hayley was extremely professional, communicative and instrumental in what turned out to be a bit of a whirl-wind house purchase. Once we found our dream home she assisted us, as first-time home buyers, in navigating and succeeding in a multi-offer situation AND an extremely quick closing process. We have no doubt that her expertise and skill led to the sellers accepting our offer and to our successful closing only three weeks later. Not only is Hayley fantastic on her own, but so is every professional she recommended that we use throughout the process. We highly recommend Hayley to anyone looking to purchase a home, and certainly to anyone who is a first time home buyer like we were. She was available to support and explain every part of the process, from finding our home in our favorite neighborhood, to putting together an appropriate and attractive offer, to inspection and to closing. read more

Hayley and team (Alissa) helped my wife and I purchase a multi unit property in Chicago. I am an out of town investor and not familiar with the real estate nuances in Chicago. Hayley got us into contract below asking and then navigated through a particularly difficult inspection process and was available for support through attorney review. I appreciate the extra work it took to close the deal. read more

Highly recommend! Easy to work with, professional, great communication. Helped make the process stress free and sold our condo over asking in one day! read more

We worked with Hayley for both a purchase and a sale. Hayley was fantastic! On the purchase side, she did a great job of understanding our preferences and showing us appropriate options. She didn't hesitate to point out when there were problems with certain properties. We ultimately went under contract in a multiple offer situation, which was likely in part due to her reputation and relationship with the seller's agent. She worked tirelessly to keep the deal together despite some bumps along the way and we successfully closed. On the sale side, she helped us to determine what updates were needed to sell the home and recommended appropriate vendors. The unit looked fantastic after we made the changes that she and her team advised and attracted a lot of interest. Despite a terrible market with high interest rates, we were able to sell the unit for a reasonable price. Throughout both the purchase and sale process, Hayley was accessible, easy to communicate with, and kept a positive attitude. We highly recommend working with her, and would use her again in the future. read more

Hayley helped us buy our first home and could not have been happier. She was very patient with us (I ask a lot of questions) and was very honest about the flaws / drawbacks of each home - many items I would not have thought about but am very glad she pointed out. In the end, Hayley found us the perfect home and was helpful both in contract negotiations and in the design phase as it was a new build. Hayley knows everyone so can get the scoop on a property and will be able to recommend just about any service you are looking for. We will 100% use Hayley for the sale of our place. read more

Haley and Anna were incredible to work with! After a few minor renovations and the staging they suggested, they sold our 3 bedroom condo in Lakeview in one week (in a difficult real estate market)!! Prior to closing we found some structural damage to the unit and Haley and Anna were helpful every step of the way and thanks to their hard work we were still able to close on time. They are so attentive to detail and were responsive to all of our questions. We feel SO lucky to have found them to guide us through this process! read more

Hayley helped us sell our condo for a great price in a slowing-market in less than a week. Her patience in dealing with potential buyers and their agents was amazing, even through trying times! We wouldn't hesitate to call on her again, and you shouldn't either! read more

Hayley and her team are amazing, especially Hayley and Katie. They are true professionals and I can't say enough about the guidance, service, and recommendations along the way for our home purchase and condo sale. They have all of the contacts that we needed when encountering inevitable bumps in the road and were always a responsive advisor. Truly a professional real estate team! They made the entire process easier from us every step along the way. Hands down would recommend them to anyone considering making a new home purchase or a sale. read more

As first-time homebuyers, my wife and I were extremely happy we chose Hayley as our agent. We didn't have much previous knowledge of the home-buying process but Hayley made it easy and we were able to do a 30-day closing, no problem. She was super responsive and we didn't feel pressured in any way. We had a condo in mind when we started but Hayley helped us find other prospective condos that fit our criteria and made us more confident in our decision. She drove us to each walkthrough and highlighted all of the things we needed to consider. She also helped us find a lender, inspector, and attorney. She was there every step of the way and made the process, dare I say, enjoyable. If you want an agent that is personable, knowledgeable, experienced, and will look out for your best interests, then choose Hayley. If you don't want those things, then choose someone else. read more

Hayley did a fantastic job with both the sale of our condo and the purchase of a new one. It was the easiest, most seamless move we've ever had. She sold our condo above asking price after just ONE showing. She negotiated upgrades for the new condo and gave great advice as far as what to ask for and what to prioritize. I was really shocked how smoothly everything went with both the buy and the sell, and while I hope we won't be moving again any time soon, I'd use her again in a heartbeat. read more

It was an absolute pleasure working with Hayley and we could not be happier with the results that she produced for us! In what was a very tough market, Hayley worked her magic and was able to negotiate an above list offer after just 2 days on the market. Hayley is a wonderful realtor and a beautiful person! She helped us to buy our first home. She was very helpful, was giving nice advices, was very patient and she knows the real estate market well. She was very responsive to all our questions no matter by email or phone. Once we've been out of the country, but we've been interested in one property and she made a video for us of her visit. For us it was crucial to have a good and professional person working with us because we are foreigners and are not familiar with home buying process in the US. Now that we've found our perfect home, we are really thankful for her excellent job and highly recommend her to anyone. read more

Colby and Hayley were both wonderful to work with and were with us every step of the way to help my husband and I purchase our first home in Chicago. As first time home buyers and being relatively new to Chicago, my husband and I were both very excited but nervous about finding our first home. Colby and Hayley were very patient with us, explained each step of the process, answered all our questions, and offered so much support along the way. We felt like they always had our best interests in mind. We were able to find and close on a home in our favorite neighborhood in less than two months in a competitive market. They made the stressful home buying process very smooth for us and we could not be more excited to move into our first home. We highly recommend working with both Colby and Hayley, we know we will be working with them again in the future! read more

Hayley helped us land our dream home! We were looking for a 3- or 4- bedroom, 2+ bath place in Lincoln Park/Lakeview/Old Town area, and Hayley was extremely helpful in the whole process, and made it stress-free for us. She is always very easy to reach even outside of normal working hours, we were able to text/call with any questions; she is fast with responses, we never have to wait long for an answer; she provided a long list of condo/houses for us to choose from during our initial search, and tailored her listings to our preferences; she helped us narrowed down to a couple places to visit, taking into consideration what we need the most; she spent the whole day on a weekend taking us around to see different places and was very patient with all our questions/concerns. During our house-hunting trip, Hayley asked questions we wouldn't think to ask, and offered honest opinion on each place we saw, helping us narrow down the pros and cons. During the closing process, she recommended multiple services to help us make the transition smooth, real estate lawyer, inspector, moving company etc. All in all, we're extremely satisfied with the experience and could not ask for a better real estate agent! read more

Hayley is an absolutely amazing realtor and person! We were at our wits end with another realtor. Our beautiful home in a great part of the city was not selling at all and we were flummoxed. Our home had been on the market for 7 months! Although we had talked with our realtor and expressed dismay, nothing was happening. As you can imagine having a house on the market for any time, let alone 7 months while having a toddler at home is a nightmare! To make a long story short, I met Hayley not as a realtor but in another capacity. She saw our home and noticed it was on the market and we started chatting. I told her how confused I was that we'd had no offers when everyone said how nice our place was. She saw that it didn't make sense either. Within a week Hayley met with my husband and I and told us about the market, explained what she would do in regards to our home, etc. It was obvious she was extremely knowledgeable about the Chicago market and all its facets. We hired Hayley and she helped immensely with every part of the process. She came over and told me anything I needed to fix, put away or redecorate a certain way. She did a lot of work just to prepare and stage our home and this is right after she had a newborn! We had her list our house and within 3 days we had multiple offers over what we had listed at!!! We didn't need to show the place anymore which was wonderful. A few weeks before closing, our buyers had a problem wherein one party lost their job. Devastatingly, they would not be able to qualify. That very afternoon Hayley had reached out to other people who had offered and we had a new contract! We closed on our house successfully and easily a few weeks ago. If you are looking for a realtor look no further than Hayley. I can't express how amazing she is and how she goes the extra mile 100% to make your sale happen. We feel so lucky to have found her and would use her again in a heartbeat. You can trust her implicitly with your real estate needs. She is super nice to boot! read more

We met Hayley at an open house where she was representing the sellers. Both my husband and I were immediately impressed with her demeanor, professionalism, and how knowledgeable she was about the property. We had been to numerous other open houses where agents couldn't get their facts straight even after going through the MLS sheet. We had not appointed an agent yet and could see how she would be a great fit with what we were looking for in an agent. Once back home, I went through Yelp, Zillow, and other property sites to see if others shared our first impression of her. And there it was - consistent five-star ratings and all-around glowing reviews. We set up an appointment at her office to kick-off our first-time home-buying journey. And what a challenging ride it was: Starting with a totally disengaged seller's agent to the property not appraising initially we ran into every possible buying-related roadblock. However, Hayley was there with us every step of this crazy journey surpassing all our expectations. She was such a calming influence promptly addressing every question or concern from us. I cannot keep count of the number of times Hayley had to play counselor to help us keep our sanity intact during this process (after-hours too given both of our crazy work schedules). We used her recommended team of professionals - from attorney to bank agent and they were all exceptional. Another thing that Hayley had me in awe of was her attention to detail. She educated us throughout this process, pointing out things that no detailed guide or checklist could provide. It was this attention to detail that also helped us when the property did not appraise at the initial-offer price and she was able to uncover discrepancies with the reported square footage. Hayley got into total investigator mode, advised us not to pay the remaining earnest money amount and made sure that we had the upper hand in all the negotiations. She also made sure that we did not make an emotional decision since I was so invested in the property. Hayley has some of the fiercest negotiation skills I have ever seen (doing justice to every one of her negotiation credentials). She played it cool in the toughest situations with the sellers playing extreme hardball and helped us get an insanely good deal for the Lincoln Park area!! Throughout this process, it was so clear that she cared about our interests and this was not a mere transaction. In Hayley, we have found a friend and real estate agent for the long-haul. We have been recommending Hayley to all our friends and colleagues, we firmly believe that they will be in the BEST HANDS in town. read more

I had the distinct pleasure of working with Hayley upon my move to Chicago earlier this year. She helped me find an incredible condo in the West Loop. As a first-time homebuyer she listened to my needs and patiently taught me along the way all while advocating on my behalf. Not only did she address my needs, she also challenged my thinking to ensure I found exactly what I was looking for. I believe Haley's professionalism and incredible knowledge of the market differentiate her from other agents in the Chicagoland area. She has an extraordinary ability to communicate--but more importantly she is a great listener. Her response times to my inquiries were remarkable and above all her ability to navigate the market on my behalf during an unprecedented time of global pandemic is the reason I have such a great place to live in today. Thank you, Hayley. I Look forward to working with her again on future real estate transactions. read more

I found Hayley on Yelp, and appreciated the theme in the reviews of proactive hard work. We chose her after speaking with several agents and I'm so glad we did. Selling during COVID stumped the other agents, but Hayley and Anna suggested a strategy that kept us moving forward. Our listing went public on a Wednesday, there were a ton of showings that Saturday and we received three offers, choosing one that night! Then Hayley and Anna were amazing through all the negotiations, completely respecting and supporting our objectives while fighting to get us to where we needed to be. Could not be more pleased - they did an excellent job and I highly recommend contacting Hayley. read more

We spent a lot of time doing research and talking to agents before we decided to work with Hayley. After my first conversation with her, I knew she would be the right fit for our home buying needs. She really took the time to understand what we were looking for and was extremely responsive. It was very clear that she was knowledgeable about our target area (North Center / Lakeview) and presented us with options that we had never thought of. She helped open our eyes to the potential of a home and how small changes could make a big difference. Through Hayley's negotiation skills and guidance navigating all the COVID-19 madness, we are thrilled to finally be in our newly purchased home. Hayley was there whenever we needed anything and still continues to help with design guidance for our new place. We highly recommend Hayley for any of your real estate needs! read more

After interviewing multiple Chicago realtors, my husband and I chose Hayley and her team to help us find our family home.  From our initial meeting it was clear she knew the Chicago housing market. She and her team put together a comprehensive list of properties and additional home buying resources for us to reference throughout the process.  She was candid, responsive and pragmatic; guiding us through different styles and sizes of homes early to help us identify exactly what we were looking for. Hayley's focus was finding our dream home but she also took the time to educate us on the many smaller details that go into owning a home that were unknown to us. We like to hear all the details and talk them through, so Hayley's guidance and experience were very helpful. Once we found our current home (we love it!) and began contract negotiations it was clear we were in good hands. Hayley's support and guidance as we navigated a bidding war and completed the closing process were invaluable. She is a very professional, experienced, knowledgeable agent, who we highly recommend. read more

I cannot praise Hayley enough. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the Chicago neighborhoods and real estate market and It was obvious from start to finish that she truly cared about finding my best fit rather than just making a quick sale. I knew I had made the right decision during our first viewing when Hayley was asking questions of seller's real estate agent that I didn't even know to ask. As a first time home buyer she was incredibly patient with all of my questions and always gave me her honest opinion about the places we looked at. When I finally chose to make an offer on a home, there were already a couple of offers outstanding and Hayley helped me put together a competitive bid that ultimately won the day. I truly would have been lost without her. read more

Working with Hayley made this process so easy. She came in, told us what to update in our unit to maximize our value, brought a few staging items and gave her recommendation of what to list at for our pocket listing while we waited for the right time to list on the MLS. Hayley is a fantastic realtor! She is professional, energetic, honest, and VERY knowledgeable about Chicago real estate. She helped us buy our dream home -- a single-family home in Roscoe Village in Chicago that was being built as new construction. My husband and I were not the easiest clients. We were pretty picky and looked for several months before we found "the one." So, Hayley pulled out all the stops and actually found our home on a "drive-by" -- not from the MLS. She then helped us negotiate the contract, which is an especially tall order on new construction. Even after we were under contract on the house, Hayley was a tremendous help to us in picking finishes and finalizing plans for the construction of the house. It was such a relief having her help us navigate the many steps of a real estate purchase. I highly recommend hiring Hayley and her team! read more

Hayley was incredible to work with. She is professional, hardworking, thoughtful, and extremely knowledge about the real estate market in Chicago. She helped us both sell our condo and buy a new home all while dealing with the challenges of the pandemic. Hayley helped get our condo looking perfect so it appealed to many buyers and got us full list price on the sale. She helped us purchase an amazing gut rehab and negotiated a really fantastic deal for us. Even when things were stressful, Hayley was calm, cool, and collected. She was extremely helpful in helping us manage buying a home and moving with two kids under two, a rowdy dog, and Covid. We could not have done it without her. Hayley was outstanding from every perspective. She was responsive and enthusiastic about our sale - although we knew she was working with other properties she made us feel as if we were her only client. Her knowledge of the market was accurate and her guidance through the sale process was outstanding. Most importantly, she took our needs - as few showings as possible - into account for her sale strategy. And it worked - our condo sold over asking price after only three days on the market - we received multiple offers after just one weekend of open houses with no additional showings. Bottom line: I would strongly recommend Hayley for your real estate transaction. read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Hayley. As first time home buyers, we really didn't know what to expect about the entire process, especially in a very competitive real estate market. Hayley was with us every step of the way, and always took the time to explain every little detail. We felt well informed and prepared for each step. Her experience and knowledge of the Chicagoland market was invaluable - we turned to her advice for absolutely everything. We found ourselves in a multiple offer situation and Hayley really went to bat for us. She knew what to push on, what to be flexible on, and we simply couldn't be happier with the property. Beyond these qualities, Hayley is also just extremely pleasant and fun to work with. She has a wonderful personality and we couldn't imagine going through this process with anybody else. read more
