Amanda McMillan and Katie Carrico were absolutely phenomenal to work with. From start to finish, they provided timely, consistent updates and made the entire selling process feel seamless and stress-free. Amanda, in particular, went above and beyond with her research, insight, and professionalism. As someone who prefers to make decisions based on data and numbers, I truly appreciated how she backed every recommendation with clear market data, thoughtful analysis, and her deep veteran experience. As a first-time home seller, I never felt overwhelmed--Amanda provided clarity and guidance on everything from staging and photography to appliance updates, open houses, and negotiations. What impressed me most was her accuracy. From our very first conversation, Amanda forecasted the market conditions and likely outcomes with incredible precision--and she was spot on. The result was not only the outcome I was hoping for, but even better. Both Amanda and Katie were a pleasure to work with, and I can't recommend them highly enough. I've already referred multiple friends and family members to Amanda and will continue to do so for years to come. read more

Amanda is amazing! She sold my condo in a matter of days. She's extremely responsive and knows the market. I'd use her again in a heartbeat.

I cannot recommend Amanda highly enough! She has been our trusted real estate agent through multiple major life transitions, and she's exceeded our expectations every single time. Amanda first helped us sell our first home and purchase our second during the height of COVID - no small feat during such an uncertain time. Most recently, when we needed to relocate quickly from Chicago to New York, she was absolutely instrumental in making it happen smoothly. Our relocation required extensive specific paperwork, and Amanda took on all the extra work without complaint, handling everything with professionalism and expertise. She went above and beyond by connecting us with agents in her network in New York, helping us land on our feet in a completely new city. What truly sets Amanda apart is her strategic thinking. We had been discussing pricing strategies for about a year as we considered moving to the suburbs. When our relocation timeline accelerated, she worked with us on a complete reassessment and developed a pricing strategy that generated significant interest immediately. Her approach was so effective that we received multiple offers and accepted a very positive proposal after just one open house and one additional showing - exactly the quick sale we needed. Amanda's expertise, dedication, and genuine care for her clients shine through in every interaction. If you're looking for an agent who will advocate for you, think strategically, and support you through every challenge, Amanda is the one to call! She is attentive, detail - oriented, honest and incredibly reliable and responsive. We would (and do) recommend her in a heartbeat to anyone who is serious about the process. She takes all the stress out of it! read more

Amanda was the best person we could've chosen to show us the Chicagoland area. She's incredibly knowledgable about the real estate market, Chicago neighborhoods, the styles of homes and even what to look for when it comes to required maintenance and things that will have to be fixed over time. We will absolutely use Amanda again if we move! Also a shoutout to her team, especially Katie that helped schedule our visits and kept us up to speed throughout the process. read more

Working with Amanda was a truly exceptional experience. From the start, she took the time to understand not just what we were looking for in a home, but the reasoning behind our preferences. She helped us clarify our needs and priorities in a way that felt insightful and empowering. Over time, Amanda helped us understand exactly what we were looking for, which can be hard to pinpoint as first-time homebuyers. What stood out most was her steady, no-pressure approach. Amanda was patient, supportive, and always focused on what felt right for us--never rushing or pushing us toward a decision. She stayed responsive and attentive throughout the entire process, from early conversations through closing. She is phenomenal at her job and as her client, you will always feel like her top priority. When it came time to submit a bid, finalize the purchase, and close, Amanda and her team of experts were fully engaged and by our side every step of the way. Her guidance was clear and steady, and we always felt she had our best interests at heart. Even after we completed our purchase, Amanda stayed connected, helping us build our own network of experts to address all types of home needs. I truly feel like we have an advisor for life now - any time we have a home question, our first thought is, "Let's ask Amanda if she knows or has someone she could recommend." We're deeply grateful for her partnership and would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for a realtor who truly listens and advocates with integrity. read more

Amanda and her team truly are one of the most professional people we've ever worked with. We always felt we were in good hands and could trust her with anything that needed to be done. Whenever we needed help, firstly on renting out and then selling our property, Amanda always provided excellent guidance and support from start to finish. We always started with a detailed comprehensive view of the market in a way that made it easy for us to understand. Her recommendations were always data driven and made sense. Her and her team would then walk us through the entire process and what is involved with every step. She would then support us all the way to the end, either finding a new tenant when we were renting out our property, or closing when we sold our property. Amanda also went above and beyond to help us. We had moved overseas and at times this made it difficult with things like collecting information from our property management company. Amanda would always offer to help and this really made our lives easier. We also appreciated her flexibility with arranging meetings due to the time difference. If we're ever back in the Chicago market, we'll definitely use Amanda's services again. We'd fully recommend Amanda and her team for any of your real estate needs. read more

I wholeheartedly recommend Amanda and her team at Chicago Home Partner. This year I purchased a 3-unit property in partnership with a close friend - finding the perfect property that would be the forever home for both of our families with a highly specific list of requirements was not an easy task, but thanks to Amanda, we found it and we bought it! In a hot Chicago neighborhood where properties are often swept up by investors with cash offers at the first showing, it was easy to become discouraged. Amanda was ever-energetic and relentless, yet patient. She knows potential in a property when she sees it - with only her client's needs in mind. She unleashes savvy tactics and skillful negotiations, always with the utmost professionalism, transparency and timeliness. Her communication throughout the offer process is on another level. She anticipates the nerves of her clients even when we were all waiting and hearing nothing. Our closing was not without its hiccoughs, thanks to the selling team, but the team at Chicago Home Partners came to the rescue time and again and got us over the finish line. Don't hesitate to put your trust in Amanda and her team of experienced professionals whether you are in the market to buy or sell! read more

Amanda was incredible to work with from start to finish. Professional, knowledgeable, tons of experience in the field and always one step ahead, she made the entire buying/selling process smooth and stress-free. Her team was super helpful as well since this was our first buy; their attention to detail and commitment to what we want was fantastic. We couldn't be happier with the outcome--highly recommend! read more

We've known Amanda for over 8 years now and would blindly trust her expertise in the Chicago real estate market. She helped us buy our first home and then 8 years later helped us sell it when it was time for us to move on. As first time home buyers, we really appreciated that Amanda and her team struck the right balance between educating us on the Chicago market and understanding what we wanted in a home. When we finally found the perfect place, it had multiple competing bids and Amanda helped us close it by leveraging her expertise. Years later when we decided to sell the place, we knew Amanda was the best person to help us and she did not disappoint. In the current slightly down market, she helped us sell our place for 5% above asking in less than 3 weeks after listing!! Amanda is by far the best realtor we've ever worked with and we would highly recommend her to anyone looking to buy/sell in Chicago! read more

We were introduced to Amanda through a close family friend who is a Real Estate agent. We were also considering other agents. We chose Amanda because we felt her abilities exceeded the competition, and here's why. -She took the time to research our property, the neighborhood, and the market dynamics. -Her presentation was highly analytical, and not emotional. -We found her to be data driven, well reasoned, and efficient. During the time our property was on the market we found her to be available, involved, attentive to our needs, and a steady voice. She is stylish, seasoned, and skilled. Amanda McMillan simply got the job done. Not only finding our home, but more importantly closing the deal smoothly despite so much drama from the seller. Truly best! read more

Truly the BEST realtor! As first-time homebuyers, my husband and I didn't know much about real estate, which made the process a little daunting. However, as soon as we were introduced to Amanda and her team through a recommendation, any nerves we had were put to rest. Amanda does an amazing job of listening to your wants and needs, as well as any concerns that you have. Never once did we feel pressure to move forward on a place or extend our budget. She commands a room during showings and asks the questions you aren't thinking of. She is definitely someone we could trust to have our best interests in mind. Amanda and her team helped us navigate the crazy 2024 market - little inventory and lots of buyers. However, with her experience and strategy, we were able to close on our dream place in March. I would recommend Amanda and her team to anyone looking to buy or sell a home. We will absolutely be coming back to Amanda when we decide to sell someday. She is the best! read more

My wife and I have bought/sold six houses over the last 20 years in several states. We must say that Amanda was the very best of the agents we worked with. Her market knowledge, data-driven approach, and attention to detail was exceptional. She was able to move quickly on the sale, and ensured our house was show-ready in a way that best presented the real estate. Her direct approach was refreshing. The result was 3 offers and a final sales price that exceeded our goals/objectives. We strongly recommend Amanda and her team for anyone looking to buy/sell a house. read more

My husband and I have worked with Amanda McMillan to sell a unique (non-traditional) condo - she helped to bring in a team to stage the place perfectly and we were able to list/close in under 45 days as the market was just starting to cool off, a tribute to Amanda's swift action and strong team. She also helped us find our dream condo in West Town (Chicago) by meeting with us regularly, and helping us with all details from thinking through what we really wanted in a home to reading through all contracts line by line to help us understand everything. When you work with Amanda, you can expect an incredibly personalized and thorough experience, exactly what you want going through the buying AND selling process! We're grateful for Amanda and her team, and will continue to work with her in the future. read more

Amanda is a miracle worker. She was able to sell our house way above ask. We are extremely grateful. Leaving aside the outcome for a second (which was great), she was great to work with. She was responsive. She knew her stuff inside and out. She listened. She pushed back when she needed to. And she always delivered. Working with Amanda was an 11/10 experience. We highly recommend her. read more

I've worked with Amanda and her team twice now: once before the pandemic and recently during late 2022/early 2023, and have always been impressed with them. Amanda and her team are exceptional in what they do. They have a lot of expertise, connections that help ensure smooth closings, and ultimately want to help you find the home you're looking for in Chicago. I've found showings with her to be very candid and tailored to addressing our top needs, wants, and concerns. I highly recommend Amanda, Jennifer, and everyone at Chicago Home Partner. Amanda is a phenomenal real estate professional. She helped us through one of the most challenging markets in recent history and we were able to find our ideal home in large part due to her connections. We were also satisfied with the price we were able to close at. We couldn't recommend Amanda more strongly - we anticipate working with her for the foreseeable future! read more

You'll be making an excellent choice if you use Amanda for your real estate needs. Amanda showed knowledge of the market, agility, integrity & ultimately got the job done - this review will highlight how. Amanda put in a substantial amount of pre-work before my screening with her highlighting what is going on in the market - being honest about what to expect and provided me with a ton of information about the market. As we got through the listing process, my home (a condo) incurred a major repair issue caused by an external factor while I was out of state. Amanda did a great job helping coordinate the repairs & helping me get reimbursed for the issue. As my home generated interest - Amanda guided me to the right offer that met my objectives the best - even though there were other paths that would have generated more profit for Amanda. My home was a type that was disadvantaged by COVID, but Amanda achieved a favorable outcome very quickly. She's insured that she's my 1st call going forward for any real estate transaction I make going forward in the Chicago area. read more

Amanda was recommended to us by a good friend who purchased their home in Wicker Park. They thought we'd enjoy working with her due to her data-driven approach to purchasing a home. They were not wrong. If you want an agent who goes above and beyond and gives their 200% Amanda is for you. My husband and I were looking for a new home but were unsure of what we really wanted and what was available in the city vs the suburbs. Amanda put us in contact with a suburb agent and we spent a good 8 months going back and forth with each agent learning about what each area would offer us for our budget. Amanda was patient with us as we saw a variety of properties and she really helped us understand what was possible. If we saw a home we liked (weren't ready to buy till 2020) Amanda would provide us a report with other similar properties and how much they sold for. We'd also rate our properties that we saw that day and that would help her narrow our search. Also the website to actually rate properties was one of the better ones I've used. Amanda provided us some listings that were just about to be listed and sometimes every second counts. That's how we locked in our new home. Amanda went full speed as soon as we said "we want it". Throughout the buying process she was super responsive and communicative with our lawyer and loan officer. It took some time to get to closing but we did it. We know we made the right choice for us and we love our new home and can't thank Amanda and her team enough. read more

Amanda is simply the best. We came to Amanda as first time home buyers. We were emotional and trying figure out what we wanted in our first home so she really became part time realtor, part time Therapist and she was perfect. She was extremely helpful during the negotiations of the purchase and we look forward to continuing our relationship with Amanda for years to come! I have nothing but praise for Amanda. Amanda and her team are AMAZING!!!! I found Amanda through Yelp and was astounded by all the 5-star reviews. As others mentioned, these reviews don't nearly do justice to the level of service and experience Amanda offers. I was moving cross-country (first-time homebuyer), and had spoked to several realtors before choosing to work with Amanda. I wanted to make sure the personality fit was there! This was the BEST decision I could have made. Amanda not only graced each outing with a personable disposition, but complemented the entire property searching experience with great patience and insight. Additionally, she was able to help connect me with recommended attorneys, lenders, etc. (all of whom were excellent to work with). She has high standards, and only refers quality people, which I so appreciate. Amanda's extensive knowledge of the Chicago real estate market put me at ease that I was making wise decisions. She was able to talk through market trends, helped me realize my wants vs. my needs, and ultimately guided me to my dream home! Amanda demonstrated great follow through and genuine concern to meet my needs and desires in securing the right property. I felt like Amanda was a friend as well as my realtor. My overall interaction with Amanda and her team was so smooth, and the communication was always timely and informative. After my purchase was complete, Amanda's concierge services really helped me get settled in (restaurant recommendations, offers for design services, etc.). I would jump at the chance to work with Amanda again in the future. read more

We love Amanda. Love love love. We have worked with her since 2019. She steered us through a sale and a purchase, and even found us a great rental when we first moved to the city. She's extraordinarily professional, responsive, attentive, and has impeccable instincts. Most recently, we bought a house and had to sell our condo on a fast timeline in a very slow market. She and her team managed to sell it in under three days at a competitive price. We have come to her for endless advice over the years (neighborhoods, repairs on the house, staging, you name it), and her guidance has always been invaluable. She's an incredibly kind person but a fierce advocate for her clients. We are so grateful to her and her team (especially Jared and Jorge Gera, the amazing photographer who does her photos) for their incredible work and cannot recommend her enough. read more

Amanda and team are the best in Chicago! Our first interaction with her was 6 years ago when we bought our condo in Chicago. She helped us win in a multiple offer situation and ensured we won for a fair price with a very strategic maneuver. Fast forward to 2022 when we sadly needed to leave Chicago for the west coast. The move was through a relocation company, which always adds additional stress for both the seller and realtor! Amanda presented us with a TON of data...this is her super power (as well as negotiating)! She took all emotion out of the equation and leveraged more data then I've ever seen on the market in Chicago. She was strategic, thoughtful and helped us prepare for the sale of our home. Each step along the way she provided advice but never overstepped and allowed the decision to be ours. Hands down, Amanda and team are the best in the Chicago area...no hesitation in recommending to anyone! read more

I have issues with the regulatory capture enjoyed by Realtors, but within that existing hegemonic structure where the process is largely prescriptive and you will be assigned a real estate agent if you don't find one on your own, it is SO important to have an agent who knows the business and knows how to navigate the process, and isn't just a warm body granting you access to MLS listings. Amanda is a total pro, I can't recommend her highly enough to help with your home sale or purchase. We had been working with Amanda on and off for a few years while we figured out what to do re: domiciling. We saw quite a few houses, got close to pulling the trigger at least once, but ultimately deferred our sale/purchase until 2020. The pandemic impacted our plans to a certain extent, but we opted to sell in mid-July. Amanda recognized our desire to move quickly to take advantage of market conditions and had the place listed within a few days (we had pictures taken a few months prior), and multiple offers after the first short session of showings. I was very pleased with how she organized everything to minimize disruption to us, and at the end of the day the most valuable contribution she made to our sale was navigating what could have been a disastrous appraisal that came in well below the offer amount, but turned out to be a non-factor thanks to how she handled it. If reading this in the Time of COVID, I can say that Amanda has taken it seriously from the very early days of the pandemic , and had good protocols in place to make all feel safe. read more

Amanda is the best. After she quickly sold my neighbor's place for a great price, I knew I had to contact her. And well, she doesn't disappoint. She's pretty much exactly what you'd want: knows her stuff better than anyone, and has the drive to get the job done. She always responds to questions, no matter how silly, and has great advice for both first time buyers and the more experienced. Honestly, why wouldn't you use her? read more

Amanda was referred to us by a co-worker who had worked with her in the past. We were looking to sell our condo and it was our first time going through the selling process. We talked to Amanda and a couple other realtors, and it was clear from the start that Amanda is an absolute pro who knows what she's doing throughout every aspect of the process (from staging, photos and pre-marketing all the way through to closing). Needless to say, we decided to have her list our home, and could not have been happier with the result. For starters, Amanda had a vision for how to stage our condo, and combined with her amazing photographer, we ended up with phenomenal listing photos. Next, Amanda and her team went through a very thorough pre-marketing process. It must've all worked well because we had a well-attended open house and we accepted an offer that we received that same day (so we never had to deal with showings after the initial open house). As everyone knows, the hard work doesn't stop there. Amanda was extremely helpful navigating us through negotiation with the seller on inspection items and ultimately getting us to close without issue (with help of course from the attorney who she recommended to us). All in all, it was a great experience and we highly recommend Amanda if you are selling property in the city (or buying, as I'm sure she's great there too). read more

Amanda and her team at Chicago Home Partner were amazing to work with through the sale of our home. She came highly recommended from two friends and it makes total sense why. She was very knowledgeable of the market, extremely responsive to all our questions, and confidently guided us through seller negotiations and HOA condo matters. We wound up selling immediately after our first open house for 99% to asking... it couldn't have gone any smoother! Super grateful for our experience and happy to offer our strong recommendation! read more

We used Amanda to both buy our unit and sell our unit in 2016 and 2020. I can't tell you with enough stars how much we love working with Amanda. first of all it does not matter the price of your home or the budget that you are working within she treats you like a top priority customer and I know she's very busy but I honestly always felt like she had time for us. She truly has a knack for real estate. I have worked with other real estate agents after her and nothing compares. It seems to us that this is her passion and not just a job. She understands that you're looking for a home for your family or yourself or whoever you're looking for and she takes the time to get to know you and understand who you are. No question or concern that you have is ever invalidated or questioned. She's an excellent listener and she's very thorough in everything she does. Look no further!!!! read more

I found Amanda on Yelp when researching selling my condo and my wife's condo and then using the sales to buy a new house with the proceeds. That plan didn't work out for various reasons unrelated to Amanda. When after some time we decided to sell my wife's condo, we had a buyer at asking price within a week and the condo sold shortly there after. Amanda and her team were amazing. Their communication and attention to detail were great. When it was my turn to sell my condo recently, we had the same experience. Amanda and her team were extremely efficient and attentive and we got my condo sold very close to asking price with no surprises. The lack of surprises is directly related to Amanda's and her team's attention to detail and communication. I completely recommend that anyone who needs to sell a property no matter how big or small, work with Amanda to get it done. read more

I used Amanda to sell my condo in Chicago in February of 2021. We initially reached out to Amanda around October 2020 in the peak of Covid as we were looking to move out of the city to the West Coast. Amanda put together an initial assessment of our property, came out and did a walkthrough of the property, and has a market analysis done for our location. She then spent a little over an hour walking us through her analysis and what she thought our outcome could be if we sold end of 2020 on our own. Fast forward to early 2021 and an opportunity came up to move to the West Coast while also providing relocation benefits -- something we had never spoken with Amanda about and thought could be a wrinkle in our plan to list with her. She was willing to work through the relo process and we decided to move forward with her listing our condo (this process included some leg work on her end to get set up with the 3rd party but was completed quickly). Due a 3 week snowstorm we ended up having to wait to list our home until about 2 weeks after our initial timeline. While we waited to go to market Amanda and team were diligently marketing the unit which led to around 15 showings in one day and a multiple offer situation. I can't say enough great things about Amanda and her team. They were professional, attentive, and the communication was ALWAYS on point. The professional photography done also looked outstanding. I've bought and sold a couple times now and will say this was the smoothest process I've ever had. read more

Unprofessional!! This agent showed up to a listing appointment earlier than scheduled. I was getting my dog and child ready to walk out when she was entering. I ran to the door as my dog became protective about a possible intruder. I told her I would need a few more minutes as they were early. She tried arguing with me at the door in front of her clients. I didn't even know what to say to such unprofessionalism. Update: I have no idea why Amanda would make up the lies she put forward in the comments below. I confirmed with my agent after the whole debacle that she was early for her showing. I am also unsure why on earth she would make the assumption that I am a tenant. I AM THE OWNER OF THE PROPERTY!! THE BEST REALTOR EVER! I bought a condo with Amanda about 5 months ago. Being new to the Chicago area (from Idaho no less) I was nervous to step outside of a 4 block radius of work and home. Amanda is always impeccably dressed with not a hair out of place. That same attention to detail carries over in to her professional life. She is diligent, hard-working, resourceful, responsive, and always on time. We bought a place in Chicago at the height of the bubble in late 2007 and needed to sell it a little over a year later, so it wasn't a matter of whether or not we would lose money, it was a question of how much. I met with Amanda based on Yelp reviews. She made a number of recommendations on how we should prepare the condo for sale and we did most of those(bathroom, kitchen remodels, fresh paint, etc). We were moving out of town and needed to sell as quickly as possible to limit the number of mortgage payments we would need to make. Because we were worried about the downside, we tried selling on Craigslist first(sorry Amanda!), took pictures, prepared a handout, had some open houses, everything short of getting an MLS number. Needless to say we were unable to sell. We then retained Amanda. We staged the condo, she took new and improved pictures, and within weeks the place was on the market. Within the FIRST week of showings our place was under contract at our target price. This is a tough market and now there are more options then ever. For us, the best option was Amanda and we couldn't have been happier with the outcome. read more

I recently purchased my first home and worked with Amanda based on raving reviews from 3 coworkers/friends who had also worked with Amanda. Being a first time buyer, and relatively new to the city, Amanda was a huge asset to me. She took the time to thoroughly explain the entire process, nearly held my hand through the three months we worked together and was easily accessible via email and voicemail. In fact, we now joke that life just isn't the same without our daily check-ins. I can't imagine having gone through the process without Amanda. She is extremely knowledgeable not just about conducting a successful transaction but also about the city of Chicago. I can be rather indecisive at times but Amanda took the time to observe my reactions to different properties, neighborhoods and price points and in the end I found a place that fits my long term and short term goals perfectly. I will absolutely work with Amanda in the future. I also HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for a committed, professional, friendly and hardworking home partner. She is fabulous!!! read more

WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE Amanda was crucial to our successful sale and I could not recommend her more highly. Amanda helped my ex and I sell our condo late last year and was fabulous! After a lackluster experience with a different agent earlier in the year, we took a different approach when looking for a new agent, and actually interviewed several before making a decision. Right from the start, Amanda was very polished, detail-oriented, and most important (especially in this real estate market), honest. She came to us with hard data and research on the state of the market, and tons of other details that really made us feel like she had her finger on the pulse of the market. (She had us hooked the second she started talking about providing us with web tracking stats -- my ex works in IT and I'm a blogger and general numbers geek, so those things made us really happy.) Amanda really wanted to get to know us as clients and, just like any good "interview candidate", had tons of questions for us to make sure that the fit worked both ways. Once she started working with us, things moved quickly, and she was always full of great suggestions to help ensure a successful sale. After every viewing, Amanda immediately provided summarized feedback and observations, and sent out weekly reports so we knew how many people were viewing the listing online, etc. She was an excellent communicator and really tailored her communications to our needs. We sold the condo very quickly, and while we took a loss on it, we were prepared for it by Amanda's honesty with us at the outset, and at the end, we were just glad to have everything go as smoothly and as painless as possible. She was a fantastic asset during closing negotiations, and has stayed in touch in the months thereafter to make sure that we had all the important documents we needed, particularly for tax purposes. If, in a few years, I feel like I'm in a place where I can buy a property again, I would absolutely ask Amanda to represent me as a buyer. read more
