Straight to the point. I can wait for however long as long as the doctor gets straight to it.

This place is just great in many different ways. Dr. Leonard is a really good doctor, he knows what…read morehe is doing, he is friendly and knowledgeable. Staff are great professional and helpful.

I have never in my life been so rudely talked down to by a healthcare "professional." I went for an…read moreexam as I was somewhat overdue, although my current glasses were fine. My initial visit went relatively fine, except when I saw Dr Leonard he rushed through the visit and sent me on my way with a new prescription in what felt like only 5 minutes (foreshadowing), but otherwise the initial interaction was fine. Going out to get fitted for some new frames, I make my selection and sitting with the tech come to find that by getting the frames from them my insurance wouldn't cover it fully. I decide to just have them print off my prescription for me to take elsewhere. I also find out that I was being charged extra for getting fitted with contacts, something I was not made aware of during the appointment. I go and get the scripted filled and wearing the glasses I immediately notice my vision is not nearly as clear. I give it the weekend to maybe adjust, when I decided to compare the script and see that the new script I was given was for a lower amount of correction (and no, my vision did not miraculously recover). I call up the office, and am asked to come in for an Rx check free of charge. Waiting in the room for Dr Leonard I hear one of his assistants explaining my situation when I hear him cut her off and just come walking in. From this point he was cold, snarky, and consistently was talking down to me the entire time. I tried to explain that with the new script he gave me I can see from the chair to the wall fine, but it was when driving I had issues seeing road signage. He does the exam again with the phoropter and insists on his previous prescription. I tell him that obviously something's missing then, because I can't see with that script and CAN see with the previous script. He then gets a snarky attitude and just gives a "fine I'll just write a script for your old Rx". At this point I'm finding myself be the one to remediate, but he refused to cooperate on figuring out what may be causing the issue. It honestly felt like all problem solving skills went right out the window. So at that point I let him just rewrite my original script (which I had gotten from another eye doctor in Bowling Green who was way nicer) and went on my way. Dr. Leonard obviously either REALLY hates his job and has given up on putting his patients first, or REALLY needs to reel in his ego. Likely some combination of the two. AVOID THIS OFFICE LIKE THE PLAGUE. As someone who worked in the medical field, and has family who also has as well, I'm truly appalled by the lack of respect and patient advocacy. My other family go to the Clarkson Eyecare in Benton and have told me Dr Ellis is far better, and I should have listened to them.
