I took on a house that had a lot of surprises, mostly leaks in different parts of the house. Over the course of a couple years, they were trying to diagnose the issues, claiming all manner of things that even I, with almost zero experience in this stuff, found perplexing. At one point they said an entire window had to be replaced. I had to wait an entire month for it to be special ordered and delivered, and after tearing out my old window, the guy realized they ordered the WRONG SIZE, and the office put it on the tech to relay the news. Office wouldn't even call me. So I called them and they coerced me into paying for that one and simply adding slats of wood to the sides of the window, obviously because they didn't want to get stuck with useless product. Yes, I should have stood up for myself and made justified demands, but what could I do with a leaky window? And that wasn't even the source of the problem! Turns out NONE of the four or five different techs that came out ever diagnosed the correct source of the leak. And me, with zero knowledge construction was right about the source of the leaks the entire time. Got a father and son team to come in through word of mouth and have not had a single problem since. One of the techs actually fell asleep in the truck on the job. Yes, I have video proof and will upload it if I have to. Bottom of the barrel people working here, that I wouldn't trust with a set of Lincoln Logs. You live and learn. Never forget. Always trust good word of mouth.

Few things frighten me as much as taxes do. I think Glenn initially thought I was all talk when I told him that I was interested in hiring him (sometimes it's difficult to take a scantily glad beer girl seriously, I know). A decade later and guess who's done my taxes (which have gotten increasingly more complicated) every year since that fateful meeting in a bar? Mhmm, Mr. Glenn Morin. Could I do my taxes on my own? Maybe. Do I want to? No. Not ever. I don't know what a typical accountant costs, but Glenn charges an extremely competitive rate - and he's worth absolutely every penny.
