Nearly 10 days troubleshooting, buying cables, charger, and four new (HEAVY!!) batteries, and our electric cart has new lease on life! Props to New England Golf Carts for delivering batteries to the dock! I went over on the 8:30 with the old ones, 15-20 minutes taking them off and onto the NE Golf truck, loading the new ones back onto the 9:45 back, and reassembly. Thank goodness for the boat's Gorilla wagon! ~400+ pounds over 4 batteries, and VERY effective! Let summer begin!

We shipped that cart to Florida. Today, we decided to perhaps buy another cart for our camp in NH. The experience couldn't have been more opposite in a very negative way. We pulled into the parking lot and we walked around looking at the inventory. Noone was outside to help. Walked into the office and Tim was at his desk doing paperwork. Asked fewM850i questions and he indifferently answered our questions. We looked at a used Clubcar cart that Tim gave us a price of $5999.. yet their website advertised it for $4999. We actually decided to buy a new Evolution cart in the showroom.. for cash.. provided we could pick it up the next day (I'm having shoulder surgery next week and I won't be able pick it up for many weeks). Tim didn't blink an eye and said sorry, not possible. So we walked out with our $8000 check. I brought the wheel with me and got there 5 minutes before closing, I was about to leave when i was called back in and he had one that matched up...went to put it on and discovered I had a 1 1/16" axel and I had gotten a hub with 1" bearings... I considered that my fault for not measuring before I went down. I was there at opening to return or exchange. An exchange would have taken a few days as he didn't have it in stock. then he aske if I would perfer just pulling the 1" bearing and putting in the 1 1/16". They changed it over and had me out in under 10 minutes. Good quick service...

Avoid at all costs - UNSAFE CARS & Zero care for customer safety…read more We ended up at Old Harbor Bike & Moped Rentals because Aldo's screwed up our Bronco reservation and sent us here. Their boss agreed over the phone to "hold" a PT Cruiser for us while we walked over from Aldo's. When we got there, no one at the desk knew what we were talking about. We waited in line for 35-40 minutes before someone called the boss again and was told to hand us the PT Cruiser. At first, we were genuinely grateful that this location was able to step in and get us any car after the Bronco disaster but that relief disappeared almost instantly, and it became very clear we just traded one mess for another. The car was already running in the lot, and once we got in, we saw every dashboard warning light on check engine, battery and a portable battery booster just sitting in the back seat. No one mentioned any issues with the car, no warning that it might not start. Within the first couple of hours, it stalled repeatedly. We were stranded in a parking lot with no cell service at one stop, forced to try starting it over and over until it finally turned over. Later, it died again before barely restarting. The suspension was shot and it felt absolutely unsafe to drive even on main paved roads, never mind the island's dirt roads or side parking spots. We avoided certain roads entirely because the car felt like it couldn't handle even a small bump. It was slow to accelerate, rattled constantly, and genuinely felt dangerous. We were so nervous about getting stuck somewhere else with no way to call for help that we cut our rental short by hours and returned it early. When I told the woman at Old Harbor about the problems, multiple stalls, dangerous suspension, dashboard lights on from the moment we got in... she just stared at me, said nothing, and took the keys. No apology. No "we'll look into it." Nothing. This car should never have been rented to anyone. It was unsafe, unreliable, and clearly not maintained. And the complete lack of concern from the staff when I reported the issues says everything about how little they care about customer safety.

For cars, it's anywhere from $70-95 for one hour and goes up by $20-50 each hour plus a mandatory $10 insurance fee. For bikes it was $27.50 for 4 hours but a majority of their bikes are more like mountain bikes so they're harder to ride. The staff is very friendly and understanding about switching out bikes so they get 5 stars but the price is definitely a 1. Bikes come with a helmet but I didn't see any locks. However the island seems safe and lots of people feel comfortable leaving their bikes in the racks unlocked without getting it stolen. Hopefully it stays that way.
