When I say Chinese, I mean, really Chinese, not of the European-Chinese restaurants that you usually find. It's food you will only find in China normally, with all the curiosities (innards etc.) for the European taste. We ordered buffet (all-you-can-eat) with the Hot Pot. The Hot Pot is a bowl of hot water/soup-type liquid. Meet and vegetables are boiled in there by everyone arround the table. Fantastic taste and really fresh food! I recomment this place to people that enjoy original Chinese food. I do not recomment this restaurant for people who are new to Chinese eating culture, unless they are driven by curiosity.

I ordered the pork and bokchoy in chili sauce and hot and sour soup with rice and the combination knocked it out of the ball park. The pork was tender and perfectly cooked with the spice and heat from the mala pepper corns it was everything I was hoping for and more. I ended up coming here twice in the span of two days. The second night I got the dan dan noodles and even those were spectacular and really reasonably priced for such a satisfying meal. I also loved the Di San Xian and the mushrooms, and while I don't eat meat, the Mapo Tofu was apparently also delicious. The tofu also came smoking hot, with the oil still bubbling while it was being brought to the table. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere too, the interior is nice and I lived that there was quiet instrumental music playing. The staff was also friendly and we didn't have to wait too long for the food (although since the restaurant was very empty as we had dinner very early, there's a possibility this could be different when it's busy). Overall, the only thing I think could have been better is that I would have loved a few more vegetarian options. I am aware, that even in China a lot of restaurants focus much more on meat and fish dishes, but there are also so many delicious vegetarian dishes. One day, TikTok fed him a Chinese user talking about Tang Wang and he immediately bookmarked it for our trip to Cologne. The restaurant is directly adjacent to the Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) and it was super easy to find. We arrived just before noon and there wasn't much of crowd yet. We studied the menu and eventually settled on a lotus dish as starter, stir-fried water spinach and braised pork over pickled vegetables. We were really happy with the food and we were not just saying that because we'd been on a Chinese-food withdrawal for a while. We would definitely go back here in a heartbeat.
