The therapist, Isha, was excellent. The wrap and massage combo was relaxing and I felt great after the experience.

I have so much compensation and tightness throughout my body, that I will occasionally book a massage on vacation. Ninety percent of the time, I'm disappointed, but since I have the time on vacation, I risk throwing away money and cross my fingers. My body is challenging (history of athletic injuries, PT, standing in Lead for work), and therapists new to me often struggle with the kind of deep work that I need. Thus, I am very particular and often feel that after spending hundreds of dollars most therapists basically applied lotion to my skin; however, no therapeutic benefit received. Robin is extremely knowledgeable about how the body and muscles should move and how one body part impacts others. Her work is very specific and thorough. Often when you find someone very good, the massage therapist is almost never great with all body parts. This massage had to be the most thorough work that I've ever received. I don't think I would book another trip to Kauai without making sure she was available for at least one appointment. I was shocked that the bulk of her clients do not require deep tissue. She is extremely strong, safe and knowledgeable. She has a warm, caring personality and really appeared to care about making my body function better. I very rarely write reviews. Her work is exceptional

It was my husband's and my anniversary so he treated me to the 90 minute outside massage. They give you a locker, towels, a robe, and slippers. The co-ed area has a lap pool, two jacuzzis, and a tiny cold plunge (more like a seat). You can order food from a phone. They had iced tea and flavored water along with nuts and candied fruits. On the women's side there was a sauna and steam room that smelled like eucalyptus and a cold shower if you get too hot and a jacuzzi. There are cold small towels throughout to wipe your head, shoulders, or wherever. You wait in the ladies area before being called into a hall with bathroom along the way and rock waterfall. There's another co-ed sitting room with more tea water and apple bananas and cold small towels with recliner chairs. Then you go into a jungle looking area with small huts where you get your massage. I very much enjoyed my massage and felt like I went to outer space at least twice. I forgot my worries and came to the conclusion that I truly have none worth fretting about. I think service could've been more helpful and friendly. I came the day before to prepare but they only confirmed and did not go out of their way to help me feel welcome. They asked if they could include the service charge (i think about 20-21%) which ended up being $78, total bill was about $390. We're the type that like to tip and even more so bc we want to support the islands and the workers who feel like family to us so of course we don't mind but I can see how some ppl would given that service wasn't all that great (besides the kick-*** massage - no complaints there). In sum, it was perfect but for the price could be better. I still want to come back.

I'm thankful for my wife. Upon arriving i got a nice robe and fresh slides. Sweet! I was shown to the lockers to drop off my personal items. I was also able to store my big luggage in their office. It's so convenient. Everything is so clean. Limitless towels and lemon water and tea. Shaving cream and razors. Lotions and body spray. Each individual shower is lined with lava rock and has its own shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. It's a rain shower. So classy. I spent time in the pool. Then got into the whirlpool so I could get onto the COLD PLUNGE. Oh man, did that feel really good. All aches and pains gone. I did that twice. Then the eucalyptus steam room was very rejuvenating. I did that twice and topped it off with a cool coconut towel as I watched Georgia tech beat Colorado. We were there from 1pm until 7pm and it was an amazing experience. Oh yeah, they also delivered food - we ordered a turkey wrap and Cobb salad. Both delicious and filling and we didn't have to leave our lounge chairs! I felt so lazy and it was magnificent. The service was top notch. If I needed anything at all, staff was there every time. I did the wave massage thingy. Even at the strongest setting it was pretty weak. I'll just go for a human from now on. I highly recommend.

I'd rate this place 100/5 stars if I could!…read more When my partner and I were booking our trip to Kauai, the one thing I *really* wanted to do was book a beach side couples massage. We looked around and I was immediately taken with Hanalei Day Spa, because the owner's passion was palpable, even across the internet. We arrived and were cheerfully greeted by the owner at the front desk, and she was more than happy to explain the process and answer our questions. She introduced us to our massage therapists, Renata and Lou, and we followed them to a gorgeous set up with shade and the waves in the background. Both Renata and Lou asked us about our aches and pains and injuries, and let us know how they planned to run our 50 min massage. They told us to undress to our comfort, made sure we were happy with the table height, and asked if we need more or less pressure as they started, I've never felt so considered in a massage setting before! As our massages ended and went back to the lobby to settle up, the owner asked us how our experiences were, and I blurted out "I've never felt so loose!" But as soon as the words left my mouth, I realized that not only was I looser than ever, but I was standing straight without hunching my spine AND that the pain I've carried in my back and shoulders for the last 20 years was GONE. Not lessened, not eased, but absolutely and unequivocally, gone. As I realized this I started to cry happy/relief tears; I couldn't help it! I'd never have imagined a 50 min massage could eliminate years and years of accumulated pain. I started to apologize for crying, and the owner started tearing up herself and told me to "never apologize for beautiful emotion", which only made me cry more. It's been a few days since, and my back has stayed straight, my pain has stayed gone, and my gratitude (to Renata especially) only grows deeper. It's clear that this spa is run by people who are dedicated, caring, knowledgeable, and incredibly sweet. I can't thank them enough!

It seemed the cafe was not operating while we were there, so I picked up dinner at a restaurant a few minutes down the road while my sweetheart got his massage.
