I highly recommend signing up for this FREE class about learning about your VA loan benefits. I looked up information on the Internet and tried to grab brochures from events. But I learned so much from this class. The site manager Gabe showed a power point presentation and explained the differences between the different loans available. They also gave a free booklet with information about the VA loan. I like that the class was interactive. They asked questions that you could easily answer if you were paying attention and gave out prizes. The company also offered refreshments. I liked that the VA loan officers either served in the military, married to a military spouse, or a family member to a military person. There were several loan officers present. Tai approached my husband and I after the presentation. She was nice, answered our questions, and eventually helped our dream of homeownership become reality. My wife and I worked with Hawaii VA Loans to buy our very first home in Kapolei and had a great experience. Our loan officer, Brad, was very knowledgeable and professional throughout the process. We shopped around quite a bit for loan companies and I believe I chose right with this company because I ended up with a great loan that I am completely comfortable with. Brad walked us through the process and was very prompt in answering any questions we had, even on weekends. The loan consultation we did with him in the beginning was really informative and made it feel like we had more control with the process. He is also in the military (Air Force reserve) so there was a level of trust and understanding I had with him that I don't think I would have had elsewhere.
