Also, if it's just door knocking, a regular mail man can do that for you if you pay for "certified mail" and that's going to cost you $15 at most. For three attempts, that's only $45. He tried to charge me for 3 documents, saying that the document included 3 forms. The court and lawyer confirmed he was overcharging; it is one document to sign. He finally agreed to charge for 2 documents and to refund me in case the respondent wasn't found. I hired him because I was in a rush and wasn't sure the respondent was still in Oahu. He attempted to serve the document once, didn't find the respondent. I find out the respondent was in another state so I asked to get my money back. Now he states there is no refund! 117$ for one failed attempt! I communicated very clearly with Charlie. He was aware of my financial hardship. How can you take advantage of situation like this?!

Tina explain to me the breakdown of the cost the $250 initial deposit that was required and that she would be sending me a contract upon completion submission of the $250 deposit (deposit would cover up to of 3 attempts to serve).Upon submission of my $250 deposit I had to email them multiple times asking for the contract which was never provided as stated and required continuous further follow up in regards to my service. That Friday I called the office to once again to request the contract and ask when they were going to make their first attempt. Tina said they would try either today or tomorrow. I called the following Monday to question why I was charged the whole $250 when it was supposed to be a hold which they reported Completing the proof of service the same Friday I called. When I received the bill for $213 I called the office as this was not what we agreed and there's no way they did more than one attempt. Tina then lied about making multiple attempts to serve and additional steps which she already told me would not be necessary since they had a pass to get on base. I also spoke to the individual serves who also has confirmed her lie in regards to the difficulty of service. They lied, overcharged me and provided a terrible service...Most unprofessional and unethical business I've had to deal with in sometime!
