We had a bill for $36K and we had to pay the bill as soon as possible or they threatened to put a lien on our house. The insurance company only allowed $30K of the expense, saying the additional $6K was extraneous. Therefore we had to cover the extra cost out of pocket. Multiple violations of code requirements in both plumbing and electrical, based on work installed and materials delivered, resulting in extreme safety hazards. Lack of basic relevant experience and competence, rendering him unqualified to be a general contractor project manager on generator projects, and especially to perform dangerous commissioning, startup, and testing which he said he intended to personally do. Negligent failure to respond honestly to reasonable and important inquiries related to project status, planning, timing, subcontractor credentials, and code compliance. Numerous substantive and consequential lies and misrepresentations and stalling tactics. I will sue him in small claims court. I will report his extremely unsafe code violations to NEC and UPC code authorities. I will report him to Texas contracting regulatory agencies. Don't be fooled by his folksy demeanor and reassuring promises. He is not capable of delivering a code-compliant generator installation that is fundamentally safe, meets electric and gas utility company requirements, and properly registers the generator with the manufacturer (Generac, Kohler, etc.) to preserve its Manufacturer Warranty. My advice: run away as fast as you can.

Ken's team did a beautiful job painting the interior walls and ceilings of a property we were getting ready for resale. They also modified and stained an entire wooden staircase in that house giving a huge facelift to the foyer entrance. Ken made sure it was done in excellence and to our satisfaction. Needless to say, the house sold quickly and we had multiple offers (see a few listing pics below). Most recently, Ken's team painted several walk-in closets and a guest bathroom in our home.
