The Elite Plaza in Malmo is located in the middle of the city (a few minutes walk from either the…read morestation 'Triangeln' or the central station). The location is as good as it gets in Malmo and you will have many shops and restaurants right outside the door of the hotel. The hotel opened last fall (September or August 2010) and it is of course still very nice. Have stayed here several times and service has always been pleasant and quick. The rooms are nice, most of them are not that big but still sufficient. There is free wifi throughout the hotel and the rooms also have coffee/tea making facilities, safe, LCD TV, iron and ironing board. There is also an umbrella in each room. Beds are comfortable and in every room I have stayed in there has also been a decent-sized desk and a comfortable chair. I do appreciate the fact that the hotel offers a good selection of TV channels (there are a few movie channels as well as sports channels). The hotel also has a very nice gym (not that many machines but they are top-notch). Breakfast has also been well-above average with a good selection of both hot and cold food. The bar/restaurant connected to the hotel (Bishop's arms) is also a very nice place. Good selection of beer and the food is also rather ok.

A very clean, modern business hotel. Rooms are ok, even large compared to the price. Location is…read morevery good in city center. The breakfast us in a very big room that has somehow the atmosphere of a train station arrival hall. It has the usual Swedish quality. Looking at the location it is really quite in the rooms. There is a nice bar on ground level, always good for a proper beer.

Well, crap. Here I am, up at midnight, plunging my room's toilet. Now listen; while this is a…read moreserious review, it is also a bit crude with a bit of humour. So if that's not your thing feel free to pass over this review. This has literally never happened to me. Maybe it's the age of the building? The plumbing looks ancient based on the shower and sink hardware. Which, I know it fits the appeal of the midcentury furnishings, but I'd expect to have a functional toilet. We've barely used it since yesterday. Yet somehow, with normal use, it clogs and is impossible to unplug. They don't have a proper plunger. It's literally a sink plunger. I eventually was able to get it unplugged but hotel staff wasn't very helpful. Also, the shower is mouldy and water gets everywhere from the shower head. I had to cower in the corner to prevent spillover into the room. Even with the door closed. We've stayed here a few times before. Honestly, each time the hotel loses its lustre even more for us. We are big midcentury furniture enthusiasts but the aesthetic appeal isn't enough to outweigh the annoyances.

The decor was classic and charming. The one word that jumped into my mind when I entered the room was "Magical"! I swear I had better sleep in this hotel even though the living room was facing the very busy HC Andersen BLVD. The hotel staff was very courteous. They even put out some ear plugs on the nightstand, but you won't need them because you almost don't hear anything from the outside unless you open the window. The hotel offers a free glass of wine (white or red) daily between 5-7pm. RSVP for the breakfast next door if you can. It's convenient and big portioned (I couldn't finish even though I was usually hungry in the morning). If I ever return to CPH and am feeling spoiling myself I would definitely book the hotel again!

We really can't complain. We were so surprised at how large the room was and how quiet the hotel was - we thought maybe we were the only guests. For specifics, there is a kettle and mini-fridge (no microwave); shower took a little bit to figure out but was very nice (though low water pressure) and the products leave you feeling and smelling amazing. Breakfast buffet is from 0630-1000 and has a variety of meats and cheeses, breads, cereals, pastries, yogurt and hot items. If we were ever in Malmo again this would definitely be where we stayed!

Well I settled in at the Radisson in Malmo after 8 straight days so far on the road and ordered a Pilsner and asked for a menu. Bartender had a cool old west mustache and the place was very basic but felt like home a bit. I ordered the beet salad - the bomb- and the Swedish veal meatballs and they were really good - as well, and yes, I know, I always forget to take pictures! Mashed potatoes were amazing and it came with a cranberries and pickled cucumber side salad that really worked with whole dish! Just a perfect dinner and I recommend this hotel restaurant highly for those road warriors like me -

This former Hilton hotel that has been turned into a Scandic is one of the taller buildings in…read morecentral Malmö so if you get a room on a high floor it offers nice views of the city. If not the gym is on the top floor so the views can also be enjoyed from there. The hotel has been renovated but still has an old and stuffy feel to it in many public areas. The upstairs (2nd floor) restaurant has however been nicely renovated but for some reason it appears it's only used for breakfast. The entrance level restaurant is used in the evenings and that totally lacks charm and that is still the best aorta of it as the food is barely fit for human consumption. It is actually amazing that they can be so bad - they have totally failed with simple dishes like burger, steak and caesar salad. What makes it even more strange is that they serve a really good breakfast so it must be intentionally lowering ambitions and quality during evenings. The rooms are most of time large, light and airy. The bed comfortable and the bathroom fairly newly renovated. Dislike the big bottles of shower gel and shampoo - understand the environmental aspect but I like the small little bottles. The gym is nice and modern and actually has decent equipment. The service is very much up and down and it does tend to be busy at times so can be a wait at checkout especially. It is not a bad hotel but also does not really deliver any great things so cannot rate it more than 3 stars.
