If you don't have cellular signal, there is free wifi on site - but I doubt you'll wanna be plugged in with this beautiful scenery. The treehouse was spacious, fully equipped with all I needed for a weekend getaway, grill available, clean jacuzzi for post dinner spa experience, and a store on site (well priced) for last minute forgotten items. Ashley from the front was so kind and helped us navigate thru the farm. We did horseback riding with Jonathan and he did an AMAZING job teaching my family and I how to ride - what a wonderful experience! I cannot wait to book our next trip out here. I love that this is a family owned business. I cannot express enough my appreciation for this establishment. Thank you all for providing such a wonderful experience!

However, my check-in experience was incredibly frustrating and ruined the trip for me. Upon pulling up to the Country Store (exactly as the check-in instructions stated), one of the property's loose farm dogs (a Great Pyrenees) began barking and jumping repeatedly on my vehicle, leaving behind scratches down to the primer. I stayed in my vehicle with my dog (who remained calm and quiet) secured in the backseat, as I didn't know if the loose dog was friendly. When the owner, Jonathan, came out, he put the dog up but loudly began blaming me for the damage, stating I should have gotten out to stop his dog or moved my vehicle elsewhere. He made multiple excuses and was very dismissive of the fact that my property was damaged by his unleashed animal. Jonathan ended up walking away and a different man asked me to go inside to check in. Flabbergasted, I proceeded with the check in process even though I didn't get an apology or any concern for what happened or how I'd been treated. The entire ordeal, including the hostility, really just ruined the stay for me and I ended up leaving early the next day. I did get an initial text from Johnathan apologizing and he offered to give me a free next stay and pay for buffing the scratches. I declined another stay, and notified him that I buffed out most of the scratches, but that some had gone through to the primer. I told him I would take care of it and I was not going to send a bill. Dragging this on further, he sent another message attempting to blame me again. This time claiming that my window being cracked a few inches is what caused his livestock dog to bark and scratch my doors. The constant blaming and complete lack of accountability for a guest's damaged property was unacceptable. It is a beautiful property, but proceed with caution, and be prepared for loose dogs and a defensive, unprofessional, owner.

We were there when the new pools were put in and were supposed to be heated. We had rented many condos for events and birthday parties. Here are the facts several of the locations need updated especially the condos which I hear now are all under construction. We tolerated the bad because it was private and the fireworks display every year was awesome! Then my parents died.... That is where the nightmare began. My brother and I were listed to inherit the deed upon their death the primary amount for the ownership had been paid off for many years. There were just outrageous fees they wanted to charge my brother and I to take over what was already deeded to us in the paper work. The amount they wanted was almost the same cost of a membership. We fought and was able to just cancel the contract without paying for anything but all the money my parents paid into this scam was lost. I have also read a bunch of the responses from the business manager and most of them are snide sarcastic remarks tenement to used car sales. Most saying we cannot please everyone and discounting most of the reviews on here. So again read what the BBB has to say and head the warning. The below is what the Better Business Bureau States about LVL Lost Valley Lake Resort This business is NOT BBB Accredited. Find BBB Accredited Businesses in Resort. Current Alerts For This Business Pattern of Complaint: Better Business Bureau is advising consumers to use caution when considering doing business with Lost Valley Lake Resort. BBB has received a pattern of consumer complaints alleging changes to contracts without owner approval, increases in maintenance fees, promise made for improvements of the facility are not honored, failure to issue refunds, consumers/owners are unable to cancel their ownership and overall poor customer service. The company responded stating, "We do believe there is a misconception that Lost Valley Lake is similar to a timeshare. Lost Valley Lake is not a timeshare, but an Undivided Interest (UDI) deed. Annual membership dues were increased for maintenance reasons for the property. We are attentive to the needs of the elderly who own at Lost Valley Lake and grant exceptions for extreme hardships. An owner's death is not the same process as a timeshare, there are estate matters which must be attended to by the Executor and or children. All owners have access to the property 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. There is a cost to transfer a deed which has increased to $1500. The transfer process is similar to a closing on a home. The Board of Directors provides oversight of operations at Lost Valley Lake."

I read on their site that its a pain point they are still working through. We politely, respectfully drove into the campground on the MAIN LOOP, around 5-10 mph, and checked the condition of the campsites. We noticed a few other campers present throughout the campground. Our windows were rolled down. Near the primitive campsites, a white vehicle rapidly, aggressively approached us from the left, rear of our car. Horn blaring. RECKLESSLY drove right up onto our rear bumper, then swerved to the left to try to force us over. The man rapidly approached us from his vehicle and accosted us with multiple, rapid fire questions what we were doing and why we were there. WHILE HE WAS AGGRESSIVELY INTERROGATING US, HE WAS CROUCHED FORWARD, POSTURING THAT HE WAS PREPARED TO DRAW ON US. I COULD CLEARLY SEE HIS LEFT HAND ON A FIREARM IN HIS LEFT POCKET - the handle of the firearm was clearly visible. The silhouette of the gun was clearly visible in his left pants pocket. Any reasonably intelligent person would have seen as we drove at a near walking pace on the main loop that we were not there to cause any problems. Any REMOTELY INTELLIGENT person would have instantly realized that we were just a family checking out potential campsites. Any reasonable person would have also considered this RECKLESS ACT OF AGGRESSION as a threat on their family. I was concerned for the safely of my family and myself. An embarrassing act of overreach. The "security guard" identified himself as "Dave." We will NEVER give this place our business again. I will NEVER risk taking my family here again. This place probably does not want your family here either...
