Fantastic friendly staff and a variety of interesting clothing and a little bit of flyfishing equipment. The trout were abundant although the day we were there not overly hungry. We did land a few on the meadow stream. Overall we had a great day and I would take people back.

It is a nice nature area nestled off Dalbow Road and near Highway 79. Here you have water access for your boats and jet skis. There are some spots available for picnicking and such too. I'd advise to arrive early if you intend on parking near the water access area since it has limited spacing for vehicles. The water that you will be getting in is a tributary off of the Mississippi River. Lots of people come down here to go fishing since they've got such an abundance of different fish such as bass, crappie, and catfish. Enjoy your visit!

This place deserves ALL the stars and then some. The lodge? Massive with plenty of space for our STL/KC crew. It was fully stocked with everything we needed and things we didn't even know we needed. The fire pit is AMAZING. The river was too high to float (thanks Mother Nature) but Bill (the owner) and Chris weren't about to let that kill the vibe. They made sure we had an unforgettable time anyway. Total legends. Chill, hilarious, and just the kind of people you want around a campfire or in your apocalypse survival crew.
