Their ice cream is made in Sarasota, Florida, by Yoder's, an Amish community known for quality. The result? A rich, creamy texture with perfectly balanced flavors. The pistachio ice cream stood out--it's made with real pistachios, not almonds, which is a rare and welcome surprise! I opted for the Triple Peanut Butter, which had an intense peanut butter flavor that really hit the spot. The Mint Chocolate Chip was also fantastic--easily one of the best we've had. Paradise Scoops is definitely worth the drive, and we can't wait to go back to try even more flavors. If you're in the area, this place is a must-visit!

I know restaurants do that with large parties but certainly inappropriate for a party of two. Service was good but I don't like to be forced to pay an automatic 20% tip. Tipping is done based on how good your service is -- so I would get stuck paying 20% even if service was awful? What I found to be off putting were the responses from the owners to reviewers; particularly, on Google. They accuse everyone who posts a bad review of posting a fake review and/or they got extremely defensive. Wow! How about a little humility and attempts to fix things. Sure wish I had seen the Google reviews prior to making my trip to Everglades City. I chose this place due to the great Yelp reviews I read. I should have checked all of the reviews because the bad ones were way more accurate.

The only suggestion I'd have is to include descriptions next to each flavor on the menu board. With so many unique options, almost every customer ahead of us had questions about what was in each flavor. Having descriptions posted would help keep the line moving while making it a little easier to choose. One of my favorite touches was something completely unexpected. They have three-ring binders for each of the 50 states where visitors can sign their names and leave a note. Our group represented three different states, and the kids had so much fun finding our states and adding our names. It's such a simple idea, but it made the experience feel personal and memorable.
