We were lucky enough to find Vogue Salon and specifically Rachel and Katie. They were so sweet and most importantly provided great service. We sure wish we lived anywhere in the state of Michigan because we would drive to get our haircuts with them. The salon was inviting to, it was chilly out and I was greeted with hot tea and a warm warm smile. Kudos to Rachel, Katie and Vogue.

They did all of our makeup and hair in 3 hours, were extremely personable yet, still very professional! They curled my hair at 8:20 am, we then had pictures at the beach, in a park and at the ceremony with decent winds (right on Lake Michigan) and around 6 pm my cousin was in shock by my hair still. Although their eye-liner and mascara was not 100% waterproof (a definite problem), they recommended a specific brand to buy at the drug store and used our store bought make-up with no hesitation. After a consultation to lighten my hair, the stylist made it darker with orange highlights. I didn't notice the mistake until I got home and I was leaving the next day. I called the salon and left a message (the stylist and owner were with clients). Remember, we been giving this salon business for years and they know us. I sent an email as well. Apparently they tried calling but emailed me back to say my phone was out of order, even though I was getting calls from other callers. So when I called them, no one was available to talk to me....again. I asked to speak to the owner, saying I had to get something resolved asap. The owner immediately started the conversation by saying the way to fix it was to put on toner. She said when I left the salon it looked great. HUH? Orange streaks on jet black hair? I said it was horrible and I have photos. She said there was nothing she could do and then hung up on me! I was shocked. It's unfortunate that the business was defensive, took everything personally and was reluctant to work with us.
