My love-affair with the staff at Stephanie's Spa Retreat at Bulimba started one December day a few…read moreyears ago. I was preparing for birthday celebrations and was looking to spoil myself with a beauty treatment. I figured I could kill two birds with one stone by booking into "that lovely looking beauty spa at the end of the street" and tame my brows. I booked in for an eyebrow wax, something simple enough to determine whether the staff and premises were up to my standards before I committed myself to anything more involved. I was hugely impressed from the get-go. From the smiling and welcoming staff member on the desk to the soothing music piping through the entire store, before I knew it I was floating on a cloud being led into a treatment room. The wax itself was flawless. The staff member took the time to consult what I was after and used fresh wax to achieve my desired look. Janelle (the staff member in question) has since become a firm favourite of mine when visiting Stephanie's. She has personally helped me to achieve the best, most healthy and glowing skin I have ever had through a customised treatment schedule. I now religiously book my waxes, peels and microdermabraisions with Janelle and if it happens that she isn't available I know the other girls (in particular Kat and Kellie) are always able to achieve the same stunning results. I have also had excellent manicures and pedicures at Stephanie's. They have an secluded private room solely designed for these treatments complete with a big screen television and a huge array of movies to enjoy as you're thoroughly pampered. It reminds me of the most luxurious movie-star bedroom you could imagine. Even the change-rooms for the more intensive full-body treatments are exemplary. From the individual lockers (fully lockable) to the gown and slippers provided, every effort is made to ensure full comfort and relaxation. I highly recommend this spa for any group treatments you may wish to do. It's the quality of service, the array of products available and the comprehensive beauty knowledge that keep me coming back to Stephanie's.
