We went for a tour here seeing the high reviews to consider putting our son in the infant rooms and…read morewere very underwhelmed and unimpressed. The outdoor spaces and activity areas were impressive but it wasn't enough to make up for the crowded classrooms and general sense of overwhelming chaos. We also felt rushed through the tour as if the woman giving us the tour was thinking "take it or leave it, we obviously will fill up regardless." She also waited until we were basically out of the front door to ask if we had any questions for her. We left feeling like our son would just be another face in the crowd rather than a valued student. Maybe the new campus will resolve some of the cramped/crowded feel, but I still have issues with the general way we felt unvalued as potential parents of a student.

Principrin is an absolute gem. My son has been going here about six months now and I could not be…read moremore grateful to have a daycare this well run within half a mile of my house. - Communication - Principrin provides clear and concise mass communications as necessary and individual updates through the Procare app. I know to the minute how long my son napped, when he ate, when his diaper was changed, and what he did during playtime. They also provide straightforward communications when there have been a number of cases of the flu or other viruses, and I do I feel like Priciprin does everything within their control to prevent the spread of germs. - Orientation - Like most new moms, I had a lot of anxiety about going back to work. It helped that Principrin provided a thorough packet of information and met with us individually to discuss our son's transition prior to his start date, and within a short period of time I felt very comfortable leaving him there. My son had issues with bottle refusal starting out, and they were very patient with us as we worked through it. - Staff - It's obvious that the women who work here really care about the kids. I'm fairly certain the front desk receptionist knows every child by name and 99% of the kids I've seen at pick up are in a great mood coming out. The teachers here really go above and beyond to find different activities and set up cute & creative photo shoots. - Efficiency - This is a very large facility and can be hectic since most parents drop off and pick up their kids around the same time. Generally they do an excellent job of managing the peak times and I rarely have to wait more a few minutes or so for someone to take my baby back to his classroom. The check-in and out process is done via QR code and seems secure. - Pricing - The monthly rates here are a little higher than the other facilities that we checked out in the Heights, but considering the size of the facility and level of care I feel like they are justified. 10/10 - 100% recommend!

Amazing day care center!…read more My kid has been going here for over a year and has transitioned between 3 classrooms. This Facility was our favorite by far when we did tours in the area - modern building / facilities, great technology to stay connected and monitor your kids, and very friendly and competent staff. This is what daycare should be like in today's age! Parking can be a bit of a pain at times as pickup / drop-off for most parents are around the samtimes and the parking spaces are not the biggest. There's also a high school across the street that causes some traffic disruption but just avoid those times. They give you two apps, one that the teachers use to track meals / diaper changes, and one that you can see your kid at all times. There's a fairly structured curriculum for the kids, though usually I just see them running around having fun. The staff are all very friendly and will try to give each individual kid as much love as possible. Highly recommended

From an education perspective, our baby is hitting his milestones physically, socially, and emotionally. They provide weekly lesson plans that are age appropriate. As an educator, I've heard from many kinder teachers at our school that students coming from OFA are prepared and beyond. The facilities are always clean and up to par. It feels nicer than any other school in the area. The directors are always at the front available to chat if needed. Last and most importantly, the teachers are fabulous. They're friendly and love our babies. I appreciate that the administration cares about teacher retention but also doesn't continue to keep teachers If they don't meet the expectations of OFA. I have peace of mind knowing our baby is good hands. I always recommend to my friends and neighbors looking for high quality school for little ones.

Child Advocates, Inc. (CA) mobilizes court appointed volunteers to aid victims of child abuse. CA…read morevolunteers speak up for abused children who are lost in the system and guide them into safe environments where they can thrive. Volunteer court appointed advocates, once appointed by a court judge to a child's case, serve children involved in the juvenile court system. This means that CA volunteers have the legal status of "guardians ad litem", giving them the power to affect real change in the life of a child. However, you don't have to a be a court ordered advocate if you find you can't committ the time and energy to that. CA also has 'Friends of Child Advocates' volunteers - a membership-based group of volunteers who serve as a fundraising arm and volunteer base for CA's many special events; 'Young Professionals for Children' volunteer - a membership-based social/networking group who provide four annual events for the children served; 'Special Events Volunteer' which gives the opportunity to participate in shorter-term / done-in-a-day volunteer roles. You have to complete a background check in order to work with the kids directly, but there are many fundraising and event opportunities that don't require direct contact (and thus the background check). I served as a YPC (Young Professional for Children) for about a year and a half and it was so much fun! I met lots of interesting people through the volunteer experiences, and had tons of fun with the kids. Check out Child Advocates if you want to make a difference in the life of a child.

The school was always such a happy place for my kids and they loved going. It's a smaller school so the teacher/staff are all involved in every classroom and know every kid by name. There is very low turnover on the staff so your children don't have to adjust to new teachers often. TCC uses an app and updates multiple times a day with pictures/activities, that was one of the hardest parts about moving on is not getting those updates every day. TCC also keeps things fun and stimulating for the children with theme weeks, extracurricular activities (Tippi Toes, Soccer Tots, Jolley Trolley), art, daily spanish class, and occasional music. If the weather is nice they try to give your kids extra outside time and in the summer do fun things like splash day/foam party/snoballs. The preschool program in particular is very impressive as far as learning and curriculum and my kids were more than prepared for grade school. They also have the choice of healthy/balanced lunches and snacks so it is one less thing for parents to worry about. The other families are wonderful as well and there is a great community. Parents are often invited to events for things like Halloween, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Easter, Christmas, and several others. The gifts they send for Christmas and Mothers and Fathers day that your child made are priceless and I treasure them so much. They have flexible part time options if you are looking for that. I can't recommend this school enough.

After attending other schools, I can say that TCC excels at: -Offering outside activities during the school day (music, dance, soccer, etc.) -Parent communication - a detailed monthly newsletter of curriculum, menu, and celebrations -Consistent updates on your child with numerous photos a day -Balancing love and discipline (my child is SO well behaved at school thanks to them!) -A focus on health for students -Involved staff -Most importantly, my child was happy every day and never wanted to leave school We already miss TCC so much and wish we never had to leave.
