The door man are nice and friendly, there is a downstairs and upstairs. Downstairs there were people having drinks. A lot of younger girls in groups and some guys in their twenties getting their drink on. My friend and I were invited to go in by the promoters down the street. We quickly went upstairs and some some cute couches in the middle of the dance floor, a couple of private booths and some other nice tables see my pictures. The music was good! A good mix of reggae, R n B and dance music! The place itself was lovely, but sadly it was empty on a Friday night! So I'm not sure if you would have a good time just dancing with whoever you go with. That's why it's difficult to give more than 3 stars! But I wish they had places like this in Miami! I would definitely go a lot! It was a very cool venue. Maybe my friend and I didn't get so lucky with the crowd-less night. One of the bar tenders was really nice when I asked for pineapple juice! I've always had a really good night out when I've been in the past, so me & my friends decided to put the incident behind us and stay, but it did put a downer on our evening before it had even begun. I'm not normally one to complain but I contacted pinks via their website & explained what happened. They were incredibly helpful & have so far been apologetic, which made made me feel better about contacting them. It initially put me off going again, but as they've been so helpful I would definitely go back & recommend them for a good night out.

Liquid occupies the bigger space playing funky house and chart music whereas Envy pump out hip hop and r'n'b. Wednesday is by far the busiest night as it plays host to Shipwrecked (anyone remember that show?) and hundreds of Brunel students - mainly the sports teams. This usually means cheap prices. Good times. The architecture is rather beautiful with the original fixtures and fitting of the old theatre it used to be, except with a couple of big dance floors, the odd overpriced bars and power mad bouncer dotted about. My gripe isn't with the music, or the bouncers, or the place. It's more the fact that I begrudge queuing for 45 mins for a drink in a downsized plastic bottle for double the price of a regular glassed one. Not cool. I'm a woman of simple pleasures. This is not checking my boxes. Hence I've yet to step foot in Liquid for 2 years. Can't I make it 3?

Depending on what day you go, you have the chance of running into loads of students! Even though we have our own on-site club, being students, we're always on the look-out for that new cool niche place - and this just happened to coincide with the opening of Liquid. I'll do the bad first: Every Wednesday Liquid hold student night - I think it's Wednesday, It might have changed. Inside there's two separate arenas; the big arena which holds something like 1500 people (lol don't hold me to that) and the teeny tiny one which holds something ridiculous like 300 people. The teeny tiny arena usually plays Hip Hop/ Bashment/ R&B and the big arena plays Pop and Electro and other funky stuff. I must admit, I usually always went to the smaller one because I don't like pop music. If you are going to go to the small arena, BE WARNED: things will get sweaty! If it's a packed night (end of term/ guest performance), you will barely have space to move; getting a drink from the bar will be a myth and DJ Skandalous will play the same set he's been playing since 2008! The dance floor also gets sticky, so if you're like me and likes to slide moves - not going to happen. Now the positives: It's a student's dream. Cheap entry (usually £4), cheap alcohol (drink responsibly); it's the biggest club in Uxbridge, so most of the ladies will go there on a big night - this automatically guarantees male attendance. BE WARNED: turn up early on big nights, especially at the end of term (re-freshers week)!!! I once missed out on getting in when we turned up at 10pm, the queue was to the Subway shop! Don't miss out. The atmosphere for some of the end of term parties are amazing! You'll have the best time if you're with a couple of friends, and if you've had a couple of drinks you'll probably find love in there too. Don't overlook the big arena! I found that you could have a great time in the big arena because the people in there are usually more laid back and hell-bent on having a good time. I've had some of my best uni memories during nights at Liquid - from beach parties to guest performances. It has taught me that it's not the club which makes the night, it's the people who turn up that night and what mood they're in. :')

Club Aquarium was once a cool place to be on a Saturday night. The idea of having a club with a…read moreswimming pool really did appeal to me and my friends when we were around 18, many of us would go there to get our cheap thrills, looking through the windows of the pool area. The great thing was that you didn't have to swim, and if you did, it would cost an extra five pound, that would get you access to the pool and a towel. I do enjoy a swim, but I tend to go swimming pools at fitness centres, costing a lot less. The last time I went to the Club Aquarium was for an after party, we got the at 6 am and left at around 10 am, so it's a venue that provides a challenge, to party all night. It is a very well known venue with a great sound system, so it often has top DJ's performing. It is only a few minutes walk from Old Street Tube, so if your in the Old Street area and the club you were at shut at 4am, you can make your way to the Aquarium, chill there, watch people swim, have a drink, and by the time you do all that through the crowd, the underground would have opened. It is the only club in the UK to have a pool, it's a novelty and worth a visit. Definitely suggest the morning after party's.

The rest of the interior plays upon the underwater theme with soft ethereal coloured lighting and white drapes criss-crossing the ceiling. This place generally attracts friendly, possilby slightly perverted people eager for the opportunity to see someone in a two-piece. Music-wise each night is different and offer alternatively cheesy pop, electro, funky house and disco so it's always best to check for the night that suits you best. Drinks are fairly expensive but pretty standard for this club strewn area of London. A nice place to come with a group of mates but because of its novelty it's unlikely to become a regular to many.

They have some excellent live music of a more alternate kind usually Fri., Sat., Sun. Downstairs is free entry bar akin to a working man's club decor. The music venue is upstairs and has reasonably priced entrance fees. All I can say for the decor there is scruffy and lived in. Painted black, with fabric ceiling drapes and paintings, the entrance door has hippy style paintings and the ladies has a graffitti board and chalk. Bar at one end and band sales and bandroom at the other. Reasonably sized and not claustrophobic when packed. The bands tend to sit around when not performing and often chat. It is an experience and we keep going back.
