Walking into the brewery was awesome, such a cool place and quite large. The girl at the spot were I believe you can order food wasn't too friendly but the bartender was awesome! Bartender was super friendly, I wish I could remember his name. We told him how we were looking for things to do and he was more than happy to write down some recommendations for us. I thought that was super nice because I feel like sometimes, at least in the Dells area, it seems like they get tired of us tourists and aren't always as friendly as I feel they should be considering they know they're working in a tourist area. We happened to be sitting next to the lady that does the tours so we thought, awesome, we love seeing old buildings and hearing the history so we signed up! It's $20 per person and about 50-60 mins. It was super cool to see, informative, the lady was friendly, and answered any questions we had. It was pretty amazing to hear that people actually live on the 4th floor, I wasn't expecting that for some reason. After the tour was over she played the large organ for us which was great. We sat down for another beer, listened to the awesome music the bartender was playing and set up our next tour at the Driftless Glen distillery. This was on our list plus it was one of the recommendations from the bartender. If your in the area and looking for something different to do, I highly recommend checking this place out!

But I always enjoyed the Circus paintings, flyers, etc. from the old days. This place had TONS of that! This place is Ringling Bros original winter quarters. There is so much to explore. I've seen tons of videos on youtube of this place but it is does not do it justice with how large this place really is. This place took about 4 hours for me to explore. There's indoor and outdoor exhibits. The outdoor portion has historical buildings, which was really fun to explore. They did have a couple of shows going on but I came on a Monday and it was fairly quiet which was very nice. The only show I saw was the Circus they have which was actually VERY good. I was not looking forward to it but it was about an hour and it was so entertaining. I would 100% recommend and would come back. If nothing else, you can enjoy all the old posters and banners like myself.

There are a few different things to see here and I highly recommend spending the day exploring it all. First the main room when you enter will have history on the Ringling Brothers along with a few novelty items. Then next to it are all the animal houses that have wagons, dioramas, and so much more in each of them. They have things from Ringling, but also history on other circus's. Now you cross a bridge to the other side where they have the Hippodrome. In here they have a few small shows in here. They also have actual circus train cars that were used by Ringling. During the summer months they have a circus tent where they do a circus show that's free with the price of admission to the museum. Now the best part is the wagon area. It's a giant building that holds about 50 wagons from every circus around. The history of these wagons is amazing. Overall if you want a day of exploring circus history and want to see the live circus, visit this amazing place.

Although it's not huge, there are so many interesting exhibits packed into a relatively small space. We could have easily spent hours here until close but we had plans to hit the road and head back home to the Chicago area. The gentleman upfront was nice enough to only charge me for 2 adults, even though I later checked the website and saw my 5 year old normally would have been charged at a lower price. My children, ages 3 and 5, had a blast. They ran around from exhibit to exhibit. I like that each one had instructions printed to explain the illusion. If you're into outer space, space stations, etc., the second room is for you! My son and I paid the $4/ person cost to Ride in the space shuttle VR experience. It wasn't really that exciting, but my 5 year old enjoyed it. My favorite part was the 3rd exhibit. Don't forget to head upstairs as well. The Van de Graff generator (to make your hair stand up) didn't seem to work. I have a picture of myself as a child standing there, so I was pretty bummed I couldn't get one with my children. Since it was cold and snowing, we didn't experience any outdoor exhibits, but there is plenty to do inside. You do have to walk outside briefly between exhibits, so dress appropriately. The tickets are (as expected) not cheap but this one is worth the time and money. Be prepared to end this activity through the gift shop and brace for buying expensive souvenirs.

This wonderful, glamorous Broadway couple found their way to the sweet little mid-west town of Genesee Depot is intriguing on it's own. Their summer home is lovely. I can feel the parties and good times that surely took place in years gone by. Everything has been lovingly preserved by those in charge and offer a wonderful glimpse into this adored couple's lives. The grounds are the perfect backdrop to the home. The entire estate gives off a quiet and relaxing vibe. It makes me understand why, on their time off, they would long to come home to Ten Chimneys. There were 2 tour times offered. Everyone takes a small bus from the starting point. A talented docent brings you on a detailed journey back in time and into the private world of Alfred Lunt and his wife Lynn Fontanne. Of course, there is a gift shop to visit after your tour. Be sure to check out the customer restrooms. The ladies room is glamorous with ladies finery and there is a huge King's throne in the mens room! Don't miss the walking tails if you want to take in a bit more nature!

It's already surrounded by resorts and trees are falling because the ground is eroding. It's sad. it's so beautiful down in there. Our horses names were Matt and Major. Josh works with the same two horses every time her works. They both stand in the same place each shift and also know when shift is over at the end of the day. Josh got everyone on the wagon to get involved and engaged on the ride. We had some great laughs and took some great pictures. If you're ever up that way it's well worth the stop to take the tour. Josh also said they are always hiring. It seems hard to find people who want to be tour guides up there in the canyons. He said he makes pretty good money. Ask for Josh and his team Matt and Major. You won't be disappointed.

I love cave tours - which is what I was looking for - and came across this tour. This was very different than anything I ever done before which is why I ultimately chose it. And I made a good choice. I did not book ahead of time. I just showed up and they were able to take me. The whole thing lasted about 40 minutes. I wish it was longer. The pulled horses will take you through the canyon while the tour guides talks about the area, the canyons. It takes you through winding rock formations and narrow alleys. It is really beautiful and it doesn't matter how hot it is, it feels so good on the tour due to all the shade. It was very hot on the day I went but it felt great! We also got to see on Deer on the tour! It was a lot of fun and I did buy a t-shirt because I liked it so much. I would definitely recommend to check out at least once!

Otherwise, admission is only $5, and that is a deal for the cars you'll see! Aside from the cars, they have a very cool hood ornament display case, as well as a timeline that includes the history of cars and includes the price of fuel and milk and U.S. population, etc., along the way. I took many more photos than what I posted because you really have to see the collection in person. They really have some special gems including a Subaru model that only 209 of were manufactured in 2019, so super rare. I consider this a must-visit when in La Crosse whether you are a car enthusiast or not!

Adults $5 with seniors even less. The cars are packed into the location but visitors can access each car with360 Degree clearance so you can see the from every angle. The age of this collection goes all the way back to 1909 up to 2016 and each car is pristinely restored and maintained. Displays for each vehicles gives year, model, and model specs as well as cultural details relevant to its time. Really interesting! They capture the not only the timeline of the dealership since its founding, but aspects of La Crosse's specific history, the auto industry as a whole, and America's culture. The hood ornament collection and the gas pump illuminated signs really complement the value of this museum. All of this is accomplished by adding great graphics and neon to pull it all together. My only wish is that the building was even bigger to hold them and grow this magnificent collection. I am not knowledgeable about cars, but this museum was a delight even for people like me. I would guess about 40-50 cars and trucks are on display. Many convertibles! I spent about 2 hours here appreciating this beautifully curated collection. Oh, the space can also be rented for corporate functions and small weddings, too! Finally, It is never packed so it is easy to enjoy time here without having to fight your way through a crowd. Don't miss it. It is worth a special trip to the city just for this museum on a rainy day.
