After returning from my experience at this tea shop i would recommend no-one to go there, i went to the hatties tea-shop on frodsham street Chester outside tesco.
with being heavily pregnant and with my 10 month son in his pushchair i was looking forward to sitting outside for a quiet moment, so after waiting 15mins with no menus on the table, the waitress asked for my order which i choose bacon sandwich and a cup of tea, she ashed if i wanted a bacon roll or bread i choose bread.
when she come with my tea and bill which was £6.75 i commented on the price of the bacon sandwich which was £4.70 i was shocked and said so and she agreed but left it at that.
Then i only presume came out the owner/manager to say the waitress had mentioned i was not aware of the price of a bacon sandwich, which i wasn't as there was no menus on the table but don't worry,
she then went on to inform me that there is a menu in the window, which i agreed but the menu was above a table which was seating 4 women eating and drinking and i didn't want to learn over and disturb them being big and with a pushchair.
she then went on to say that she did ask me if i wanted a roll or sandwich as the roll is only £1.99 she didn't inform me of this at the time.
her whole attitude towards me was disgraceful i hadn't made a formal complaint she approached me whilst i was just sitting quietly with my son, it was as if she wanted to argue with a customer, am never one for writing on review sites or complaining but the whole situation has rattled me and the women should not be working with customers.
after all that the bread was stale it flaked when you picked it up, so if you don't want attitude and you dont want over price stale sandwich's do not go here ,much cheaper to go to costa coffee in Tesco where they have great customer service and is cheap compared to here. read more
