Everything was 25%-50% off and it was also a "tax free" weekend, I guess because of return to school. I brought 2 hats to the register where the store employee (lady) was at, intending to buy one or the other. After discussing prices on both hats, I selected the $60 hat, which was $30 after the 50% off. The lady then told me she didn't know how to ring it up. I was puzzled, but whatever. I said, "it's $30 after the discount". She says she needs to calculate the discount on the register and she doesn't know how to. She tries calling the store owner for instructions, but he doesn't answer the call. I very nicely and patiently say "OK. Here's my name and number. When you figure how to ring this up, call me, I won't be far away", and then I leave. 30 minutes later my phone rings and it's the owner. I'm on vacation, I'm all happy, I say "Hey, what's up?" This guy says "WHAT'S UP??? LET ME TELL YOU WHAT'S UP. I OWN THE HAT STORE. MY 80yr OLD EMPLOYEE JUST WENT HOME CRYING. WHAT THE HELL DID YOU SAY TO HER???" Needless to say this moron had his facts all wrong. He rants on me for a few minutes, not letting me get a word in. Finally he shuts up for a second, I ask if he has video cameras. He says yes. I ask if he watched them yet, he says no. I tell him to go watch the video, then call me back and apologize. I was as nice as could be to his employee, who apparently didn't know how to ring up a hat. Perhaps he never trained her? I tell this guy why would I leave my name and number if I just abused your elderly employee? This moron store owner has yet to call me back to apologize.

I used to wear quite a few hats that weren't just baseball caps, but it has been a long time. My old ones had all deteriorated and I was unable to find any place to do repairs at the time. These days I've discovered there are places around that make lots of hats and also ones that do blocking. I do love the selection of hats available here, but I realized I'm going to have to put a few pennies aside because the ones that I truly liked are a little pricey. I also have to be aware of sizes because they use small, medium and large for sizing on their hats as opposed to what I was used to which was using the actual size of your head. Any help that you were looking to buy I would recommend trying on first just to be sure that you are satisfied with the fit before you make a final purchase. The employees here are quite friendly and willing and able to assist with your hat needs. If everything goes well, I hope to be back next month to secure a new hat for my collection. While I was checking them out, I did find some really nice ones, including some in some very interesting colors. I also did love the selection of Snoopy/peanuts baseball caps that they have available. If you're at Disney Springs and looking for a hat, you should really come here and check them out.

I highly recommend the sun hats that actually block the sun. Some material in them that blocks the UV rays. I'm old now and not a scientist, but as a true blue Floridian, I give them two thumbs up. I've never been burned on my face wearing one. They also have "fancy" hats. I do not want to discuss how much I paid for this one particular hat, but I love it, and I was too adorable when I wore it to the opera, if I do say so myself! LOL Great costumer service. Friendly and knowledgeable. Small shop. Gets extremely busy. Be patient.
