This place was certainly the place to do that, we did ax throwing, which I had done before, but we also got to do knife throwing and archery. Knife throwing is very difficult (do not be deceived by how each they make it look) and archery is as well, but we did enough axe throwing that we became very proficient at it. They actually also spend their time to show you each activity. There are two people there working, or at least there were when we were there that night, one man in the bar and Food and the other introducing you to each activity. They spent quite a bit of time making sure you know what to do the safety routines, and how to improve your skill. I would definitely be back. The food is also really good and they have a bar. It's just a really nice laid-back spot to get a little arm work in, try something new and eat good food. I highly recommend!

BYOB and axes! What's not to love?…read more This is a clean, comfortable, and no-frills axe throwing place. The owners obviously put a lot of heart into it. I love that we were able to bring our own libations (mead anyone?) and got some help with the cork and finding some cups. No one was there to rush us out the exact minute our time slot expired. I recommend arriving 15 minutes earlier than your slot to allow time for the group to sign in and watch the safety video. Our "paid" time started after we received the intro-spiel, which took about 30 minutes from start to finish. We were capped to 6 people per lane. 2 lanes for our group of 9 was perfect for an hour. By the end, we had gotten a good hangout in and were ready to proceed to dinner. I could definitely see myself coming back to get in some target practice again in the future! Slinging Axes also had a video game wall set up and a darts area. Cool place that has a lot of room to grow.

There was significant miscommunication from the host prior to the event, and when we arrived we were unexpectedly told we needed to make changes. Our party was also moved from our original table to much smaller tables that did not provide enough space for our group. Throughout the event I had to repeatedly go back and forth with staff to clarify these issues, which made the experience frustrating and unenjoyable. They also attempted to charge us an additional $200 for a game that I was clearly told was included in the mixed birthday package -- something I confirmed with them at least three times prior to the event. In addition, the facility itself needs serious attention. It was not clean, masks were falling off the kids' faces, the venue appeared dirty, and the bathrooms were out of toilet paper. Overall, the space does not seem well maintained and requires much-needed upkeep. It felt like the venue was overbooked and unable to deliver on what was promised, with many inconsistencies throughout the event. Because of this experience, we will not be returning.
