Mr Wu fixed our sagging and damaged bookshelves by adding brackets to them to stabilize them…read more He took the paint and painted each bracket offsite and returned to fix the shelves, carefully painting the screw heads to make the repair invisible. He was able to achieve the repair without removing all the books or risking them getting paint on them.

I was supplying the new legs myself which was metal to replace the original metal legs on the cabinet. They received the pictures of the cabinet and contacted me and they told me the cost would be between $450.00 to $500.00. I asked them why so much money, they told me because it a heavy cabinet. Anyway I hired a carpenter to replace the legs. Fact check--Carpenter was able to lift the cabinet by himself. He said the cabinet only weighed about 15 to 20 lbs. Fact check---Took less than a hour to replace the old legs with new legs my new metal legs are lot more sturdy than the old ones. Fact check---Total costs was only $150.00 Before you hire a handyman on yelp get 3 to 5 quotes from different handyman. Have them look at the project, look at their reviews, if they don't have any reviews don't hire them. I have been screwed over by 1 handyman on yelp that had no reviews, Now I will be sueing him in small claims court.

The Last Task

I called The Last Task to help replace a kitchen sink faucet that had a broken handle. Before this…read moreI tried calling 5 or 6 other plumbers and handymen around my area, all of which were unavailable until later in the week or backed up until the end of the month. Imagine having an kitchen with no running water for that amount of time; that's not the news you want to hear. Enter John Mosely from The Last Task. He tells me over the phone that he can swing by and take a look at it after he's finished with another customer. Quotes me a reasonable flat fee, figures the job shouldn't take more than an hour anyway. So far, so good. John arrives less than an hour later, starts to work, and quickly realizes that the old faucet is a tough nut to crack--literally, because the large nut holding the old faucet in place is super tight and near inaccessible in the cramped quarters under the sink. An hour and a half of blood, sweat, and tears (but mostly sweat) later, John is about to call it quits, but not before calling his more-experienced handyman partner to come help, reassuring me that he wouldn't just leave me high and dry. While we're waiting, we decide to give the Faucet from Hell one more try using a basin wrench, but this time extending the lever arm with a long steel pipe John found in his van. The additional leverage did it--teamwork prevailed, the nut was defeated, and the rest of the faucet replacement went smoothly with minimal problems. John's character stood out to me in his attitude. Even though the job was more frustrating and took longer than expected, John remained professional, friendly, and positive throughout the whole process. He was honest and did not attempt to upcharge me for the additional time spent. I can tell he is passionate about his quality of work, the satisfaction of his customers, and the reputation of his business. I'd recommend John to anyone looking for a painter/handyman with a can-do attitude, and if his service is indicative of that from the rest of his workers, I'll be sure to give The Last Task a call for any other task I have around the house in the future.

He went above and beyond the call of duty and never once complained. Thanks so much for your services. I will be sure to contact you again when in need in the Woburn, MA area.
