**COVID-19 REVIEW** I received a recommendation to use this company as we had four trees that needed trimming. They were very timely in scheduling a fate for someone to come out and give us a quote. He was very knowledgeable and I knew we would get good service. He did warn that they were about 11 weeks out in work so as we confirmed our quote at the end of August 2020, they didn't get to us until the first week of December 2020. Originally we were hoping for mid-November, but we were blessed with a Buffalo windstorm which threw all schedules out of whack. They called about a week ahead and confirmed a date for service and said we would be the first appointment of the day. They promptly arrived shortly after 9 am with a crew of four. The project head came to our door (with a mask) and we walked the property with all the workers to ensure we were all on the same page with the work that needed to get done. As soon as we were set, they went straight to work. We saw that they all were "safety-first" with gear and equipment the entire time. The best part was watching the trimming from the bucket truck; how fun that must be! They completed everything in just under two hours, and that included clean-up. We have 2 very large, mature trees on our property, that have not been trimmed in the 7 years we've lived here, probably longer. One giant was getting uncomfortably close to our house, and raining dead branches after every breeze. Getting tree work done in Spring time seemed like it was going to be next to impossible. I called 9 tree service companies for estimates in March 2021. 1 of 9 actually answered the phone (this one,) only 2 of the remaining 8 returned messages. 2 showed up for estimates, and only 1 was on time (this one.) When Haskell Tree Service arrived for our scheduled estimate, first thing the rep talked about was that they'd been in business for 50 years, and that all of their employees are fully insured. He provided an explanation of everything they would do, even the number of employees who would be working at my house, and gave it all to me in writing. From the beginning, I had confidence in this company, and they didn't disappoint. They communicated with me for scheduling, answered my questions, and were overall very responsive. Fast forward to May 2021: first day they came out, they were only able to complete a portion of the work before their bucket lift stopped working. They came back the next week, prepared to climb if they had to, to get it done. I had to leave the house before they were finished this time, so I didn't see them before they wrapped up. When I returned, my trees looked unusually healthy, the crew was gone, all of the cut branches were also gone, everything was cleaned up like they were never even here, and the invoice was in my mailbox. I noticed that there was a solitary weird, low branch left on one of my trees; it had an old bird feeder hanging from it that I forgot to remove. I figured that was why they left it. Super kind of them, but I wasn't attached to it, and now it looked funny to me. When I called the office next day to square up my invoice, I mentioned the bird feeder branch, and asked if they'd be able to come back and cut it off- I was totally expecting a no, but they said that they would. THEY ACTUALLY CAME BACK THE SAME DAY!! I can assure you that I will never call anyone else for tree service. They did such a good job, they were very reasonably priced, they left no mess. Huge plus when you know exactly what to expect, and the service is delivered better than you expected. read more

I requested an estimate with Haskells through Angi list. They never called us so I called and left a message requesting the same. Still they never bothered to call back. So I hired another tree service that has incredible credentials and equipment. They did an amazing job with a fair price of about $4300 plus tax. for around 3.5 hrs of work trimming mostly cottonwood trees. ...extremely happy with the results. Too bad Haskells....maybe could have been your job as I hadn't found this company yet at the time. Maybe you should try the courtesy at least of calling people back?? read more

Expert tree removal at the best price. I had a very hard tree to remove Haskell​ brought their T-Rex Crane and soon it was gone. There was no leftover​ debris, the ground and property were​ immaculate. I am very happy with their work and highly recommend Haskell tree Service. read more

We had a large tree that was rotting out from where a large branch had been trimmed. We weren't sure if the tree was salvageable- we hoped it was-so we called Haskell to have an arborist take a look. The hole was the size of a beach ball and almost half way through the tree. The owner came to take a look and advised us to take it down. He gave us an estimate and showed my husband how they would remove the tree. We talked it over and decided it was a good deal. They came a few weeks later with a few guys and T-Rex. What an amazing process. The guys were great and T-Rex is awesome! No trucks in the yard-no guys hanging from the tree. This is done be remote control. They showed up at 8:30 a.m. and we're done before noon, including cleanup. They will be back to grind the stump when it dries. read more

We used Haskell tree service to vaccinate our ash tree against the Emerald ash Beatle @ two hundred dollars a crack ( done twice) the tree died ask for estimate to take it down and he gave a bid of 950.00 minus 200 discount I said that to be fair he should refund the 400 I spent to save the tree at that point he (Very unprofessional) called me a A**wipe this is not the type of company you want to do business with. read more

NO SHOW TWICE - Getting any sort of timing on when they will come out is difficult. Finally received a call back almost 4 weeks after signing the contract to come take of my trees. The Company was a no show twice. First time was on Saturday October 19th (one full month after signing the contract). No phone call to let me know they were not coming. Called on the subsequent Monday and was told they would be out Monday evening (10/21). Again, no show with no call back. Both of these days were sunny (no weather impact). After waiting for another week with no phone call or follow-up I decided to call them and leave them a message (at 11:30am) to not bother that we went with someone else. I was hoping we could give them a chance since we have many trees that need maintenance but we were trying to do a handful at a time. Unless you like excuses, no call backs and waiting, I would stay away from Haskell Tree Service. read more

Would not use again. Way overpriced. Says they were coming in a certain month. Didn't hear from them until months later. Extremely expensive for the little amount of work they did. read more
