History

Established in 1987.

This store was purchased from Agway Corporation by Harvey VanValkenburgh in 1987. Harvey and his wife Kathy owned and operated Johnstown Agway from 1987-2012. Harvey strongly believed in Customer Service! his motto was Customer Service, Customer Service, Customer Service! In 1993 Harvey and Kathy's son Mark started in the store and over time began running the store with Harvey and Kathy. In 2012 tragically Harvey passed on and Mark and his wife Christina purchased the store and decided to change the name in memorial to Harvey to Harvey's Home, Garden & Pet Center. Mark and Christina carry the same beliefs that Harvey did and carry on that Customer Service is number one.
