On August 12, 2026 my grand rabbit passed away. I called my daughter who's out of state at school…read moreto let her know because Miley (the rabbit) was hers. She sent me the money to get Miley cremated so she could come back home which is $60 for the cremation. My daughter sent $80 so she could get her nose print and fur clipping. I called her while there and told her that the clay paw print was a extra $30. She said okay and asked for that as well. My daughter sent me the $30 for Miley's clay paw print. I and my daughter paid a total of $110 for her rabbit to come home. We paid on card and left Miley with APF. We trusted APF to make sure our wishes were fulfilled and granted. I was called yesterday August 19, 2026 towards the end of day that Miley had been returned and was ready for pickup. I was unable to pick her up yesterday so I went and picked Miley up today. I arrived at APF around 12:10pm. I walked in and picked up her remains. I was looking thru the bag when I noticed that the paw print was not there. So I walked back in and addressed the issue. They made it feel like I was lying to them and went and checked the receipt and saw that I did pay for it but never got it. Then they said that they will talk with the people tomorrow when they come in and I told them no because it wasn't going to fix the issue it's not like they can do her paw print now as she is cremated. I told them I wanted a refund. They asked me my address and I told them that they could refund it how I paid for it. They said that they aren't able to do that which I found highly aggravating. So they are mailing me a paper check. If this happened to someone who had lost a child in birth and they never did their child's hand and foot print an the child was cremated the parents and family would be highly upset and emotional. This is the same thing. Some people view there animals as there kids and treat them as such. There are no words in which we can express our aggravation, hurt, and there is absolutely no way they can ever correct this for us either. I'm shaking writing this because this is something that we will never be able to look at again. When I look at my dog's paw prints, my cat paw print, I an my daughter will never be able to look at Miley's paw print.

When it's time for pickup, a friendly call informs you that your dog is ready, returned to you gleaming and gorgeous, accompanied by a debriefing of any concerns. They are my first-line defenders when it comes to Saydee's overall health, including her body, teeth, fur, and ears. Appointments can be challenging to secure because they are that good, which is why I book mine for the entire year. Monthly visits work best for me, and I gladly drive 35-45 minutes each way because I wouldn't trust anyone else with this task. A word of caution regarding any unfavorable reviews: They are poppycock. Professionalism isn't always warm and fuzzy and f you would rather hear flattering words while dealing with sloppy grooming, tardiness, and inconsistency, go somewhere else. But if you're looking for true professionals who know what they are doing and execute it perfectly, bring your fur baby here!

I honestly can't believe how heartless River Road Animal Hospital turned out to be. I've been…read morebringing my dog here as a patient, but after today, I will never return. I arrived 30 minutes before they even opened because my dog was experiencing severe anal bleeding -- an emergency by any reasonable standard. There were no other cars or clients waiting, and yet I was told they wouldn't see her without an appointment and the soonest available time was over two hours later. It's absolutely heartbreaking and frustrating to know that a veterinary office, where compassion and urgency should come first, refused to even evaluate a bleeding dog simply because of scheduling convenience. There was no effort to triage, no concern, no basic decency to at least check if she was in critical condition. If this is how they treat established patients in distress, I can only imagine what kind of care (or lack thereof) others might receive. Do better, River Road Animal Hospital -- pets deserve compassion, not cold policy.

It was absolutely hideous and he doesn't even look like a dog?!!! It's not even healthy for a dog to be shaved like that. Now I have to be careful with itching and infection and he definitely can't go out in the sun because I'll have to watch for sunburn. The property and the kennel are spotless and lovely. Murray stayed for a week and we had Chris and Eileen provide training during his stay.
