We first met Mr Harvey when our 8 year old took a magic class with him after school. Every week she'd excitedly come home to show her cool tricks (some of which I couldn't even figure out!). Her favorite day was the last day, when Mr Harvey taught them some balloon sculpting; he makes some of the most creative and amazing balloon sculptures that I've ever seen! Since meeting him we realize that he's everywhere - he's the balloon artist at south Pas farmers market, we spotted him at live on green - and so when our 6 and 8 year olds decided they wanted to have a magic party we knew exactly who to hire! We got a quote and scheduled through his website (of note he's not available on Sunday mornings) and confirmed and communicated via text. I liked that he confirmed the day before and checked in to find out our daughters' favorite animals and created them a gorgeous elephant and giraffe to present. On the day of he showed up early, got set up, and started making balloons for the kids. We had a surprise when my dad shared that he knew magic, brought out a whole magic kit, and performed at the party (a secret talent that even my mom was unaware of!). Mr Harvey was so professional and generous and complimentary and even with this surprise Mr Harvey performed his amazing show (lots of birthday girls involvement, bunny at the end!) and made sure all of the kids at the party had a balloon sculpture to take home. Parents and kids (mix of ages from 2-10) really enjoyed his tricks and humor and it was great to be able to relax knowing that everyone was having a good time. Our family had breakfast at Shakers in Pasadena and a kind gentleman introduced himself and told us he did balloon characters. That wasn't all he did. Found Harvey through Yelp and he was a GREAT find! He was very professional and made sure to keep in touch with details and confirmations prior to my daughter's birthday party. We had a bit more kids than anticipated and despite him having another appointment, he never came across as rushed and accommodated the kids with their balloon requests. When he originally told me that the balloons would be "simple" because of the package I bought, I took that literally... BUT when he started making the balloons, they were out of this world!
