Well, you can't get more authentic than a thatched roof and a bunch of friendly locals now can you? Sigh, even at the tender age of 26 I'm thinking this is the sort of place I could happily retire. In wintertime I imagine this pub would feel especially cosy, with a roaring fire and snug little corners. The drink prices are pretty normal really, rather reasonable and food-wise it actually has an award-winning chef at the helm. The restaurant is kind of separate but it's still perfectly acceptable to grab a few beverages and take them through with you. There's plenty of choice and everyone is well catered for, including vegetarians, plus the desserts are really something else and everything is truly homemade. Was pleasantly surprised because even though the place has had a makeover, the floor in particular, it is still essentially, the Addy! Quite a few of the regulars albeit slightly older,lol, were there and more arrived as the pub got busier and busier over the evening, was great to see them all again. Entertainment was on, profuse apologies but I can't remember the name of the band, that's the fault of one of the pints of Stella I imbibed!
