Kind of the same thing every year, just getting busier and less like a harvest/fall type fair.
We started coming a few years ago because we liked the farmers market feel - pick up some produce and local goods, walk around with a fall beer and enjoy fun activities like pumpkin bowling and scarecrow building. It was also free! Unfortunately, no more.
Now, it feels more like a small state fair. Too many large sections with rides and very few farmer vendors now. Prices are the same as state fair so a bit steep ($9-10 beer, $16 for a bloody mary). Plus, there's also a $5 admission fee plus more for parking. Can we go back to being free with less rides?!
I will say that Culver's curdtoberfest was kind of cool. You could try regular or jalapeno cheese curds and their root beer, and try a pull tab for a prize. read more
