Upon arriving, there was already a huge spread of mezzes ready for us: potato salad, pickled vegetables, a red pepper dip, feta cheese, a cheese/tomato dip, bulgur with tomato paste, yogurt, fried eggplant, peanuts, bread, watermelon, and cigar pastries filled with feta. On top of that, there were unlimited drinks we could order from the waiter, including water, local red and white wines, raki (the famous Turkish anise liquor), juice, and just about anything else you can think of! And while we enjoyed all the wonderful food and drinks, the dance show begins! Unfortunately I had a back row seat, so it was hard to see many of the lively performances, but a few definitely stood out. There was a Turkish "wedding" dance in which the dancers pulled in a bunch of audience members to play the roles of bride and groom; and also a belly dance, in which the belly dancer pulled in a bunch of men from the audience and made them belly dance too! What a great (and hilarious) time! And then, towards the very end of the show come the entrees. I tried the lamb and the beef stew, which each came with a scoop of rice, along with a few vegetables and fries. Not bad, but in my opinion, the entrees (relatively small portions) definitely paled in comparison to the huge spread of mezze!

It was nice having the restaurant to ourselves so we could talk to the owners and workers. They were happy to show us the soups available as well as letting our children watch the food being made. My husband order his usual lamb chops. He said they were some of the best he has had in over a year here. My boys shared a plate of chicken śiśh. Their food was plentiful with both boys eating and having left overs. I was very pleased with my chicken pottery meal. We were not disappointed at all. We started with an order of lahmacun. The thin pizza was cut in two halves and served with the usual greens and lemon. It was delicious, probably the best lahmacun we had while in Turkey. The minced lamb was flavorful but not too gamy. We also ordered the mixed grill platter which included several meats such as chicken, adana, lamb chop, etc. The adana was also outstanding, similar to the minced lamb on the lahmacun, it was very flavorful without the gaminess. The entrée included a good amount of meat for both of us sharing a couple of dishes, but if it's the only dish ordered then it's probably not enough to share. Lastly we had two pieces of kibbeh (10TL each). The kibbeh were so tasty and delicious, and don't mind the oil that may drip off the hot kibbeh as you bite into it, it's all good stuff.

There was a lot of dancing and various costumes, but besides one of the belly dancers, it seemed like the dancing was amateurish and they were just going through the motions or making it up as they went along. The food was decent though. They give you a lot of little side dishes of vegetables and sauces. And then you get a choice of which entree you prefer. There is also a choice of alcohol included too. Because it is a show package, your choices are limited but the amount and quality of the food was fair.

It was gentle and beautiful, with was a pleasant end to a very long day outdoors in the heat. The food, like most dinners and a show, you're paying more for the experience than the food. There was nothing to snuff your nose up at, it was all edible, traditional, and satisfactory. You get several courses, you will leave well fed. It something I will never forget. I'm delighted with my experience.

The decorations are very apt, and the dining areas resemble five spokes of a wheel (the sixth being the entrance hall), with the hub used as a dance floor in the evening. I was with a group of 21; our guide ordered for us, what in Spain would be a "menu al día," where each of four courses came with a choice of two or three items. Each was delicious and served by a wait staff that was really hustling, as each "spoke" of this restaurant holds about 60 diners, and all were practically full to capacity. Fortunately they have a well trained and motivated staff that just kept everything coming. THIS is where to take someone to impress them in Cappadocia!

It has a central area, and many small and mid-sized halls for eating. Therefore each tour group goes to their own hall. The entrance and the building look like a Seljuck Caravanserai, so it's cool :) They don't have a huge selection of dishes but they're delicious. There is a small shop for souvenirs at the entrance. The restrooms are large and clean. The main reason why I gave it 3-stars is that it's for large tour groups rather than for individuals. If you're an individual traveler you might like to eat somewhere more cozy but if you're a part of the group then it's ok.
