I hired them to rebuild two chimneys, apply two coats of paint, caulk, rebuild a d-log siding gable, replace roof screws and put a door cover up. Seemed like everything was going great until clean up day. Next thing I know Greg is doing work he never quoted, I never authorized and was never anything I would have agreed to and telling me I owe him money. When I finally got to see the work that I authorized and paid for I was disappointed. A cable that had been attached to the prior chimney was left swing off the house. Debris from the removal of rotting chimneys was left where it fell in the yard, in the driveway and screws were left on the roof in the yard and in the driveway. The door cover is great if your 5'8" but at 5'11" you may suffer a severe head injury from its low support strut. This unsolicited work that I did agree to is bogus. I expect Greg and I will be in Court soon. My best advice to anyone reading this is to keep looking. This is not a company you want to hire. I wish I had not!

Scott is an honest and good man. We have a view of the mountains on the backside of the house and a…read morelot of growth started to narrow the view, but we also wanted to expand the view. Scott came out one day to take a look and we discussed the plan and rates. This house is new to us, so I was not familiar with normal rates for this kind of work. Scott and I came to final agreement, and he was ready to have his men come out and begin work the next day. The men were also very polite, Austin, Wilmer, and Victor were the ones I spoke with the most, but there were a few others and all of them were polite and very hard working. If they found they had climbed 30 ft up the wrong tree, they would climb back down and do it right (as it goes out, it becomes more difficult to locate the proper tree from the base). A woman I work with has a close friend who cuts trees, and I sent her the before pictures with lines drawn of where Scott and his crew did work along with the number of trees estimated, asking if he could give a rough estimate, and while he said that he would need to come out and look at the property more closely to give a more accurate one, his price was almost double Scotts price. It was a good sign that Scott gave honest prices and he does honest work. At the end of the job, I had my own before and after pictures and the difference was PHENOMENAL. Scotts men stayed late the second day (they did A LOT of work for just 2 days time, these guys are good) and Austin was directing the others to perfect the final touches. The amount of care these guys have for their work is impressive. They had a mission more than a contract; the mission was to make me, the customer, happy - and they couldn't have done a better job. Scott is going to remain as the man for all my tree work until we sell this place or he retires because I know I can trust him. Tree cutting/trimming is expensive no matter who you go to, but with Scott I got a truly fair (if not better than market) price, and he really cared about doing an honest job. We recently were looking for a roofer to do some minor repairs on some facia that was damaged…read moreduring some high winds, but most of the roofers in the area were reluctant to do this small job. When we called RRG they were very nice to speak to you on the phone and quickly scheduled our work. They followed up the morning of our service call to make sure we were still OK with the time and told us that Josh would be doing the repair work. Josh called prior to getting into our home and said he was running about 30 minutes late, which to me is huge because nowadays most people won't even bother calling you. Josh arrived and I showed him what had to be done and he was quick to get to work. He reattached the facia that was pulled away and also inspected the roof to see if there was any other damage but said everything else looked good. I can't speak highly enough of these folks as I've been a general contractor for 25 years and have dealt with some real characters in the past, but these guys are top shelf.
