He talked to my husband about the job. When he showed up to look at the job he had a couple woman with him I didn't think anything about it I thought maybe one of them was his wife. But on the day they come back to do the job he had nothing but woman with him. This kind of work is not for women. I was worried the whole time they were there doing the job that one of them would get hurt. He did great work but we won't be connecting him again to do any more work for us until he gets a real crew. Not woman this is not the kind of work woman should be doing. I will not be recommending scrappys Tree Service either until he gets a real crew not a bunch of women who can really get hurt.

I got three estimates on a tree removal. I opted to go with Appalachian. Of the other 2 estimates…read moreone never showed as promised, and the other showed right away but had too many bad things to say about ALL the competition I opted not to use him. Appalachian showed up for the job on time, had 4 guys with a 5th that followed, and did the whole job in just over an hour. The entire tree including the trunk was ground to mulch. They appeared to work safely and I was pleased. Tree came down and all was well! Yes I would use them again if I had another tree that needed to be removed. The only reason I didnt put 5 star as they left a quite large pile of mulch. I heard that they normally take that with them. They didnt ask if I wanted it and it could have been shoveled into the truck. In this case it was not an issue though as 2 neighbors in the park took some for their gardens, and I bagged several bags just incase the hole sinks over time as it settles and the wood chips decay. If however you DONT want a big pile of mulch, make sure you discuss that part first.
