Oh what fun we had and looked great doing it! thanks to the Outpost! Don't forget if you have some new used supplies, outpost will donate for you to the local 4H kids to use. Hope they found a home and I got a pretty good price for my Billy Cook saddle I sold to him too! my SIL loves the men western snap shirt selection and t-shirts! I always have time to shop for the boots, the heart and soul of the store I have loved this place for better than 35 years and happy to see them thriving on SR 135 coming into Trafalgar. Be sure to check out a hat! I have bought a good many of these

Soooooo many beautiful cowgirl boots! Cowboy boots too!…read more We came here with my niece because her Christmas present was to pick out a pair of cowgirl boots. I was in absolute shock to see the sheer volume of boots that this place offered. From the road, it didn't look so big! I took a photo of only a partial amount of the boots they offered here. There were so many that my niece took well over an hour to go through them all just to pick out a few favorites. This place also offers apparel and belt buckles. All of those sort of things. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly and chatted with my father-in-law for a long time while us ladies shopped. There is also a clearance room located upstairs. If you're in the market for a new pair of cowboy or cowgirl boots, I would highly recommend checking out the huge selection at this place!

I've been to a lot of tack shops, and while Cox doesn't carry every possible thing you could ever…read moreneed, they have plenty of stock in most everything you would need, and it's almost always higher quality than what you would find at other stores like Tractor Supply. Whatever Cox doesn't have, they seem to be able to order it in, and almost always for a very competitive price. Beyond that, the staff are outstanding and they really know their stuff. I suppose that comes from being active with horses themselves! Another nice aspect of Cox is that one of the ladies does leather repair in house. She fixed a problem with the fender on my saddle, and created custom leather straps for my wife's Aussie. The work is fantastic, and the turnaround time was short - my saddle was repaired in just a couple of days. If you're looking for a great tack store, you have to check out Cox. Family-owned and operated, this is a great way to support local business and get the best value in your gear.

There are many more stables that are ultra modern and much newer and better kept but, I will say this my girls love it here. Its almost as if they have all become family with everyone else here. Sandy is a good teacher and has help my girls develop their skills and she cares about the girls. She gives the girls the opportunity to learn everything from cleaning horse poop to Jumping in Shows. They've learned more than just riding and taking care of horses they are learning responsibility and camaraderie as well and with some good people. I've asked my girls several times if they would want to try a newer stable and I always get the same answer in dolby surround sound "NOOO!!" By the way YES that is my daughter Brianna in the pictures from last year.
