One star because there is no zero…read more I took an older golf cart that I recently purchased in for service. The previous owner had disconnected multiple wires attempting to troubleshoot a charging problem. The cart ran if the batteries were charged individually and then reconnected as a pack. But once that charge was gone, the pack would not take a charge. I went to LLGC because I did not have a wiring diagram for the cart and hoped that the service department could provide a diagram or simply show me where the disconnected wires connected. Instead Sal, (owner manager?) stated that for an $89 diagnostic fee they would connect the wires, run a computer scan, and bench test the charger. And present me with an itemized list of repairs needed. I readily agreed and left the cart, charger, spare solenoid, and spare charging port with them. Then things got strange. Steve from LLGC called and said there were many things wrong and that it would be over $3,000 to repair. He indicated that all components including the motor and controller needed replacing. I asked for details and he transferred me to the service department. The service department said they had not actually done anything other than a visual inspection. But all the components were old and possibly needed replacing. I explained that the cart was running if the batteries were individually charged and he allowed that the controller & motor ($2,200 of the total) might be ok. He reiterated that he had not actually connected the wires or performed a diagnostic scan or a bench test of the charger. I thanked him and hung up. I then called LLGC back and spoke with Steve again. I told him that I was disappointed with the conversation with the service department and voiced my opinion that it didn't seem unrealistic to have them reconnect and verify the wiring was connected properly but I understood and would pickup the cart. Soon after that Sal called. He said they knew how to fix the cart and that they did not need me "coaching" them. He went on to say that they do not install customer provided parts due to warranty & liability issues. He reiterated that they could fix it but it would need $1,500 in batteries & cables in addition to the previously proffered $3,200 estimate. I reminded him that it was he who recommended the $89 diagnostic and asked what it would take to get to this stage. We discussed connecting the wires, verifying that all wires were in the correct places etc. I asked him to check with service and call me with the estimate. He called back an hour later and stated the cart "arched" when they connected the wires, ignoring that I never gave them authorization because he never called with the estimate. He reiterated the $4,600 repair number. I declined and went to retrieve the cart. While loading the cart, the service tech indicated that they had in fact installed the solenoid I provided, reconnect the various wires and reconnected the battery pack - at which time the battery pack "arched" resulting in 3 batteries melting their terminals. I was speechless. Not only had LLGC installed parts I provided against their own policies, but they had performed work that while discussed had not been authorized. And now I had a brick that a week before was a running but troubled cart. I left with the cart which is now at a service dealer in Huntsville. So again if there was a zero that's what this would be.

After a couple phone calls he did do one warranty fix, a new relay. Terrible job. Didn't even take the old one off. It was riveted so I'm guessing too lazy. Just left the new one dangling. I'll never go there again.

And let me tell you, we were not disappointed! I had already visited several other golf cart dealers and worked through pricing with them, but apparently, I saved the best for last. When we arrived, Charlie Liller greeted us, and from that moment on, it was clear why everyone raved about him. We looked at numerous carts and even took four for a test drive. Charlie answered every question we had on the spot, giving us a thorough rundown of the pros and cons of each model. He was knowledgeable, honest, and at no point did we feel rushed or pressured--Charlie has the patience of Job! After carefully reviewing all the options, we finally settled on a Club Car with a lithium battery. The negotiation process was smooth and easy, and once we agreed on a price, we were in and out with just the swipe of a credit card. Now we're eagerly awaiting the delivery of our new cart this Wednesday! Charlie and Conroe Golf Cars absolutely live up to the hype, and now I understand why they're the talk of the town, even in communities like ours, an hour away. If you want the best experience, the best selection, and top-tier customer service, go see Charlie at Conroe Golf Cars. You won't be disappointed!

Blake willingly looked up additions that I wanted and installed them…read more I purchased a 2017 Precedent (used). He installed larger tires and 6 " lift kit, front clay rack, mag-jak grill, handle for passenger (elderly parent) to embark and a folding box rack for the rear when seat folded down as well as rear hold bar. Best of all was paying the extra money to have the 6 batteries removed (their price taken off my total cost) and replaced with a lithium battery. It is basically maintenance free and gives room under the seat for carrying smaller tools. I have owned this for 2 years now and only issue is the windshield cracked due to rough handling on my part. We live on acreage with sandy soil. I am able to use this to carry water to plants (30 gal barrel), put a 25 gal sprayer on the back for fence maintenance, haul limbs, carry large tools and haul feed out to livestock. I used old pvc pipe zip tied to railings to carry shovel, rakes, sprayer nozzle and wasp spray!! I have gotten stuck twice, once in DEEP sand and once in the muck. Pulled out by truck or tractor. The one drawback is that it does not have any pulling power, whether to pull a mower or to pull large limbs to burn pile. But it does all that I wanted, especially able to take my mom out and about. Because it is so quiet, my husband will use it instead of his Polaris to go hog hunting! Thanks Blake!
