I was enjoying looking at the items at the shop for about 10 minutes, and was deciding which soaps to buy-- until I was told to leave the store if I wasn't going to buy anything?! The soaps were located right when you walked into the store, the owner said we were "blocking the entry way".... My friends and I were having conversation while browsing so she assumed we weren't shopping, yet I had the soap in my hand expressing to my friends I wasn't sure which ones to get. The other reviews on the owner are accurate-- no respect, just looking for your money. Other than that, she's sweet for a narcissist (:

I actually think I was here the last time I was in Scottsdale several years ago but I didn't Yelp it so who can say? Regardless, Mom found some things that she could not leave Arizona without and I picked up some candy for the office and prickly pear honey for my employees. While there Mom tried on some cowboy hats and honestly should have just bought one, but she's never been a hat person. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, from the moment we walked in the door to the checkout process, which is always nice to see--so many souvenir shops have staff that are as likely to stab you as they are to help you. The prices really run the gamut and I suspect some items are priced as loss leaders for others, so just choose wisely and you won't go wrong with your finds at Kactus Jock.
